Yeah, i think gordon must of (excuse the punn) saboteurged that mission, just so you wouldn't beat it. As soon as you left they played it again and did it in a breeze. Nice screenshots. Guess we wont find any 'easter eggs' bigger then T1's find in VBS. New recruit in training for CSHAG trial's the new transport and entertainment:

These are some staged screenshots from vbs, but the colours are as they were in-game, just that i've used custom anims, and 'camera.sqs': These one's however were not staged, and are from an MP game today on Gordons server with (unless i've forgotten anybody, which i think i have becuase i'm sure there was more than this) Gordon, Dekela and Geriec: Gordon Gunning in Hummer Dekela Gunning in LRPV Geriec in Hummer Gordon gunning again in Hummer, but on the move Attack on 2nd Scud Moving about Gordon trying to shoot down Mi24 No bullets? Yeah, 1 of about 8 ot 9 different locations, just to add to replay value. If the mission wont end (bomb wont blow up) then it must be an old version. The time you have depends on your difficulty setting though. You'll get an estimated time at begining to show you about how long you have till bomb blows on the various difficulty settings. i think its 7minutes for most difficult, to i forget exactly, but more than 15mins for easy.
-
Thanks. The links are where the bomb can possibly start (linked to invisible markers), OpFor doesn't set it off (remote control). OpFor AI setting can be changed at start when playing in MP. Should get a quick cutscene and a shockwave when the bomb blows.

Yeah. The mission was by Junker i think. 2 stages screens:

This was the oddest mission i've ever played in VBS1. Teleporting Russians, spheres that kill you... Hold me Mac!

I'm at the French server now... all alone and on TS IP: 193.19.219.185 Port: 2323

Has anything happened yet with the group purchase?
-
LOL. Beastality runs rife Which one do you think is the best looking?...although the woman looks like shes eyeing him (or her?) up already
-
Looks to be his 'Immediate Response' mission SC, where pilots have guns.

← Oh, sorry, thought that was just to the player ID#

You do realise you XML's only work in MP right Ranger? The 'avator' wont show up on the sides of vehicles in a Mission Editor Preview, or SP mission. Check that the name is exactly correct too.

This hosts.txt file might help out. It just has all the IP no.'s of servers, so when it is placed in VBS1 folder, you can see all servers running on the implementation (sockets or Direct Play) selected when in LAN setting of 'Networking' in-game. The Server Update List tool is good too, but it didn't update to add the new servers (although maybe it has now? I dont check as it clears the IPs already in hosts file). hosts.txt file for IP addresses (ZIP, 1Kb) EDIT: Seems the server didn't like linking from an outside site, so updated link with different server. Also ZIP file not so

For the North Americans, why dont you buy with BIA along with everyone else, but have your copies shipped to somewhere outside N.America, and shipped to you from there (so BIA will deliver them). You will get all available modules (like USMC1 and ADF2), can download them, and i'm sure the N. American orders would add on to the group order substantionality, and so make it more likely a discount (or such) could be arranged. Just dont tell BIA that some orders are infact bound for the U.S. as they may then be obliged to refuse your order.
-
It's the price, i dont think they would have any luck mainstream. Word of mouth (or rather text) is probably a far more efficent way of selling it.
-
I really like these, good inspiration for missions for VBS1. Nice find Crowman.

Cool screenshots guys And SC, i'll send them over to you if you want. The bomb one though i didn't realise gets so screwed with lots of people in MP (only ever tested it with just me in MP before yesterday), so that wont go on till i fix it. Thanks for interest in them, glad you like them Some screens from yesterday: Moving in cautiously WardenMac getting blown up Gordon and 2nd Ranger (i think) moving away from the soon-to-be blown up building Sniper on the roof (Whisper?) Going to town with the Mk19 After I took the LR too close to a BMP, me and SC shortly died

Heh, thanks gordon. I'll send a the updated versions of that and a few other missions soon too. Here's some screens that have been building up for past few days. Nice pictures Gordon (first one wont work for me though). That was probably the longest time i've spent playing VBS in one day. Very good. Some screens i got form the games i played below (and those that wont fit on this post in next post). Click the pictures for larger versions.
