That stuff looks great. Wonder if they can edit the convoy feature to choppers (sniping from a blackhawk), the dynamic buildings is undoubtly the best new feature for me though.
The new island they showed on Observer3 video (i think) looks really nice too. Anyone know if thats something from a new terrain pack, or one of the islands USMC get?
EDIT: There's a thread on the island on VBS Resource forums as well.

Nice pictures Dekela, but they look more from Mau Samet then Trinity (I could be wrong, yet to cover all of Trinity).

And like wise for me too, but for an OFP squad instead. 2 have surcome so far, well 1, as the other guy has been waiting 3 months for his to be delivered
EDIT: And BTW, i doubt you'll use the MP5's sights as where its CQB, dont need to aim up, just squirt and pray
There is an Aimpoint version of the MP5 also.Also, this video might help swing them too. It's in-game footage from me and another guy playing mutliplayer.

I find it does, slightly. I had OFP and VBS on same specs, and with OFP when i record with fraps it stutters slightly, but with VBS i didn't realise it was still recording. Also, it apperently 'handles polygons better'. Not much difference though, but it does seem to run slightly better.

can't keep fixed wing aircraft in the air and right side up, at the sametime, with a mouse and keyboard. I can however keep them upside down and on the ground, at the sametime, with no problem.

Nah, i just think that a joystick is way too sensitive to control a plane accuratly, espeacially if you are flying a jet - it's no cruise missile when i try to fly a jet with a joystick
I think Fudge was using a joystick when he landed a harrier on Statton (?) airbase on Trinity though, all be it on the grass and with the gear busted. He crashed the Herc at Liberty airbase using it though. -
Thanks. I find the keyboard+mosue far easier to fly planes with though.

A CTI mission hasn't been converted yet, but i remember someone asking on the VBS Resource forums the same question, so whether he is working on one now or not i dont know. I THINK his name was 'Virus' (with letters changed for various symbols).

The smaller cells just let you make the terrain increase and decrease in shorter individuals (e.g. every 1m instead of 10m - not sure on exact measurements) so you can add ditches and such.

I tried it in OFP, and it just froze OFP up. I know it says you gotta lower view distance and get weather at a certain type, and i did that but still didn't work (or it just takes for ever to load). In ReadMe:
Transporting the InfantryRange and associated files to VBS is pro-hibited !
I guess for personal use no one would care, but i think a new one would have to be made to be used in multiplayer on servers where lots of people would use it.
EDIT: While we're on the subject of OFP-VBS maps, has anyone tried the new version of CAT Afghanistan by Agent Smith (in OFP or VBS)? I think its great, and would be good to convert to VBS if AS (as i dont think CAT is still around) doesn't mind.

I downloaded the MP demo from here, but it asks me for a serial number, depsite the fact this is supposed to be a public version (although i realise it WAS limited beta at first on fileplanet). Have i downloaded it from a wrong place or what??

I dont get it though, are you saying what they are doing is pointless, or is the military customers the left hand and BIA right, or...??

So long as you dont play a mission using USMC pack (which their are many of) it doesn't matter if the server has USMC on it or not, as far as i know there are not servers based in N.America, but any of the european servers at least i would of thought you would be fine on, playing without lagging.

Ouch, fried computer and a month or two without VBS for the bloke who eats sleeps and breathes it pretty much 24 hours a day! I certainly wouldnt want to upset him after a week if he doesnt get his fix of it. Hope its fixed real soon.

A friend in Canada ordered VBS1 Core and ADF1 (from CTCorp) December 28th and hes still waiting for it
Thats what, almost 4 months and counting.
EDIT: Terra, if you do manage to speed up the delivery somehow, can you say how? Already sent 2 emails, and i told the guy to phone them too, but dunno if he did.
