just my 2 cents I have always loved gigabyte boards never had an issue with them. that said I really dont think it matters what main stream brand mother board you get. just the goodies you get with it. amd vs intel again what floats your boat. typicaly amd is the gammer processor with the 512 l2 cache I always thought intel as the workhorse type processor. there are thousands of websites that can give you all the hype but that has been the trend gammer or workhorse. what fits you best. I myself am an avid AMD guy. but I game I dont do "work". do what fits you best at your cost range.

no the plugin alows you to open *.rsb files and manipulate them. or you can take jpegs tiffs bitmaps whatever and save them to rsbs. you do have to save them in mulitiples of 2 though. Brass

if you go to your cd drive on mycomputer instead of left clicking on island thunder right click. this should give you a menu that allows you to open and not auto run. the plugin you desire is in the extras folder on the cd. brass

make sure that you have those mods activated in igor

time to get the ike log out my guess is a reinstall would fix that problem

the box around the mouse would be caused by the alpha channels. you done any modding on those? or downloaded a mod recently?

Pave low is right but let me tell you copping the mods over saves a bunch of time especially when your mods folder is over 2 gig he he

In my expierience GR is a CPU hog and it will use all available resources no matter what you have. I doubt seriously that is your issue about cpu being maxed with out an ike log we really wont be able to tell what it really is. some thoughts though have you done any moding on skins in gr for multiplayer or weapon mods? when I started out playing I went into igor and played around with the weapons and tried to host useing those weapons and boom CTD. do you have white faces? or white people or buildings? try deleteing the mod the old fasion way by going to the mods folder and delete the offend mod folder if you dont know which one that is mp1 - desert siege mp2 - island thunder origmiss- ghost recon every thing else (please forgive me all the great modders out there) is unimportant and can be deleted again I hope I dont offend Brass
