I'm pretty sure you dont need to be online to play the demo mate

I've not encountered any problems with steam, I bought HL2 off it and left it overnight to download and install along with CS source, HL and all the other bits, in the morning it was all done and waiting for me to play, I didnt need to drive to the shops, pay for parking, queue up in the shop and drive home after, all I did was have something to eat, have a drink, watch tv then go to bed. Superb service from where I'm standing.

I'd go for the download route, the only point against it is the folks who are still on dial up, I did a backup with steam and it rolled out fine when I formatted the pc, I like not having boxes cluttering up my room now, in fact I've taken all the cd's out of the cases, packed them away and put all the cd's in a big wallet to save room. Being able to read the manual while you're playing is useful depending on the type of game, most first person shooters are self explanatory to anyone who's played them before. As for the price, I'm not sure how much money publishers save by distributing digital

The worst party I ever went to was one I got drunk at even before I got there, everybody else though it was great, putting dog biscuits on my head and getting the dog to eat them, watching me trying to hold onto the toilet so I would fall over etc, a few years later I got a job in a pub and to watch what people do when theyre drunk really puts you off, especially when you see somebody walk into a pub at midday with the shakes from the night before, they spill most of the first drink and thats a scarey thought. Now I drink when I fancy one but if I havent got a drink then its no big deal, like

msn virus? you gotta be ######ing kidding me
CrowmanUK replied to deadly_sniper22's topic in Computer Discussions
Just to add on to that, a mate of mine on msn sent me a similar message, I thought it odd as I hadnt spoken to him in a while, so I sent him an email asking if he'd sent me that message, it turns out he hadnt and he was infected with some virus/trojan or other and got himself disinfected, so dont accept odd links from anybody, and if you do get one off a friend let them know about it so they can get disinfected. -

Good games guys

Not sure how many of you guys use xfire, but its a messaging program that shows what game servers your mates are using, obviously you all have to be using xfire but it works nicely for a hell of a lot of games. I'm trying to get VBS supported, if they do all we'll have to do is get all of us on xfire and if somebody is playing they'll show up with what server theyre at and what Teamspeak server theyre on too, its a nice tool and I think it shipped with americas army. You can read about xfire here http://www.xfire.com/ and this is the forum post asking them to support it http://

ASE filters all the mods that might be running for a particular game too which is nice and handy.

The last one I got was from a phoney paypal site thanking me for buying a "masturbator" for 760 quid, apparently it was costing 200 dollars to ship it so it must be the king kong of masturbators, hope it'll fit through the mailbox.
