Lets face it if you've been stuck in a factory/office for a week then anything where you get some fresh air and have some fun with your mates has got to be a good thing.

Yeah it is a bit big so you couldnt really put it on one of the keyboard trays under a desk, luckily I have a biggish desk so its no problem.

That looks amazing mate, wonder what it'll look like on a standard tv for those who dont own a HD set? I remember playing GT2 on the ps1 when it came out and being blown away by it, weird really cos when I put it on again for the kids years later I couldnt believe how ugly it looked, I guess we've been spoiled lately.

If you've got a browser on your wii you can use the tversity media server software to stream movies to your wii too, so if you didnt buy a 360 you can still do media streaming even if it is a bit more involved to get it running http://www.tversity.com/home

Is co-op just too difficult for Developers?
CrowmanUK replied to Rocky's topic in The Video Gaming Industry Discussion
Hmmm my thoughts would be that its a lot quicker/cheaper to make a game without coop, think about it. TVT maps need to be created and playtested to see if theyre fun so the devs run round shooting each other and see if it was any good. Coop needs somebody to design the missions, playtest and refine them, to make sure that every possible idea that the player could come up with is tested so it doesnt crash the server or that the player will turn up in an area where the ai havent spawned because he didnt go over the trigger, to me that would take way more time than creating a map to go free for -

Just reinstalled Ghost Recon AWESOME!
CrowmanUK replied to Becky89's topic in GR (PC) - General Discussion
Just reinstalled it now i've got my widescreen monitor and wow, takes me right back to when I first installed it, only bigger and less jerky, time to get some missions in I think. -
and if it was being sold on ebay it would be called wii and 70 games I'll have a look at this mate although we've just bought the zapper and links crossbow training, great laugh it is.

That is impressive, I really hope nintendo have already worked this out and can get some games out that incorporate it.

It would probably look better with the specular map somewhere in between on and off, with it on everything looks too shiny for my tastes.

Need help making a custom fan dust filter
CrowmanUK replied to WytchDokta's topic in Computer Discussions
This place does a lot of filter stuff mate, havent a clue what the prices are like though, i'd go for the roll filter media, just buy a roll of something and cut it to size, you should have plenty of spares then http://www.acefiltration.co.uk -
Fingers suitably crossed Rocky

So will these be coming to the PC version too? As a family man I had to buy a Wii and i'm not about to move sideways to a 360, so come on, answer the question! PC or not?

B-52 mistakenly flies with nukes aboard
CrowmanUK replied to Pave Low's topic in Real World Military
Come on they didnt lose them, they were strapped to the wings of a plane as it flew over america -
Not sure how Vista does it mate but what i'd do is put them both on the same partition of the second physical hard drive if it will let you. Best thing to do is wait and see then go from there.

Bioshock installes rootkit on systems
CrowmanUK replied to FI_FlimFlam's topic in Shooter games (FPS & TPS)
If I was the developer I dont think i'd be too happy about the publisher adding stuff to my "finished product", ok they want to protect their investment but you'd have thought they'd have at least discussed it with the devs first. -
Almost but not quite, make 2 partitions on the first drive and install an OS to each of them, then on the second physical drive put your swap file, if you put the os and the swap file on the same physical drive you wont get any performance increase even if theyre on different partitions because that drive still only has 1 head and can only be in one place at a time, if you have the swap file on a separate physical drive it can be doing its thing over there without interrupting any programs (windows, graw etc) that are using the 1st hard drive to access their files. Does that clarify it a bit f
