  1. Thats exactly what happened to my dad while he was driving to work on a motorway, foreign lorry driver comes along and clips the bang end of the car, shunts it along a bit before it rolls over and off the motorway, luckily my dad and his passenger were ok but the driver off the truck just said it was a blind spot like he couldnt care less.
  2. I guess he's beavering away at it, no doubt we'll be getting something sometime soon but a nudge now and again wakes everybody up and makes finding the thread easier
  3. Vegetation looks much improved, not sure what pc they were running it on but it ran quite nicely.
  4. Theyre redid it mate http://www.journeysystems.com/?powercalc After looking at it, it does seem to be a bit out of date as far as graphics cards go but they do say they are updating it This one seems a bit more up to date http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp
  5. Nice job on the wiring mate, mine looks like an explosion in a spaghetti factory, you may well have shamed me into giving it another try
  6. I bet he has the whole dance floor to himself once he starts up doing that.
  7. Next test I'd do is put the Physx card back in and try it, then try reloading the physx drivers again and test it again, could be one of those odd quirky things but if it messes up all the time with the physx card in whichever drivers you use i'd try to get my money back on it.
  8. Wonder how the PC hardware manufacturers are looking at this, when Nvidia say theyre no longer making video cards for pc's will be the time to worry.
  9. That sounds about right mate.
  10. One last request, cataloguing software, there are lots of programs out there that claim to do it, maybe a pro's and con's for each one to sort out an eventual winner, at the moment i'm using a mix of ACDSEE and photoshop elements, maybe a quick write up on how to sort your catalogues from somebody who takes a lot of pics rather than lumping in them in vague sounding folders like I do.
  11. A write up on framing a picture would be nice, put up a photo and say why it works, I read a pile of stuff about the rules of lines/thirds/curves years and years back and there was a picture of a lurcher running at full pelt with some fences and it was supposedly the perfect picture with the lines of the fences drawing you in, the curves of the dog and the rule of thirds all being perfect. I'm using a Fuji E550 Dai-San, points and clicks great but will do lots more if I mess about with it, and read the manual again
  12. Thats not a bad idea mate, I know papa6 is a keen snapper and I've got an underused fuji that I use mainly for family shots but i'd love to expand, even do a monthly shot for a particular scene to see how we all handle it eh?
  13. Theres a bit of a read on the PS3 audio here, looks like its the cell processor that takes care of the sound http://uk.gamespot.com/features/6147812/index.html
  14. So where is the link to your DoW mod then mate?
  15. maybe its something to do with the physx card? all that extra crap flying around at that res must surely put a lot of stress somewhere, try running the game with the card disabled. What were the results of running the game at a lower res too?
  16. Those screenshots look really tasty. Cant wait for some ingame video
  17. Have you tried changing the resolution settings? and what settings have you got the sound on?
  18. Why not plug in a 56k modem for that complete back to the dark ages look? lol
  19. Nice case mate, wouldnt have gone with a hitachi drive though, i'd have gone for a seagate with a 5 year warranty PS the tri cool fans are ace, but if you want to use asus cool n quiet/qfan software you need to stick them on high or they wont spin up, my PC hardly makes any noise at all now and ticks over at 33 degrees C, once it gets warm though the fans kick in and it all works nicely.
  20. You got a spare pc you can plug it into mate?
  21. and i'll bet having firmware upgrades messes things up as well requiring more patching for games, what a nightmare eh? I think my Wii has had about 3 or 4 upgrades so far.
  22. Might be worth having a nose through the ini file and seeing if theres a way to tone it down a bit, I tried it on embassy and it really does brighten that sky up.
