WhiteKnight I think it is interesting you put "it's" in bold. OK it's their game, fine.

But we are the ones that pay for it and spend hours playing it, or not as the case maybe. I can speak for myself only when saying I don't intend any personal slur at any dev's or anyone else but I feel entitled to have my say and if you don't like what I say then sorry but that is tough. I don't always like the replies to posts I make.

I am taking my copy of GR2 back to change it for PES4 or HALO2. It's not personal i just don't like the game on xbox. As btk says I played GR1 on PC and got GR2 on xbox. I got IT on xbox and hated that as well but i loved it on pc.

I am sure all the people at RSE will still be in a job regardless of my/others rants. Watch this space for me praising the PC version in 2005 (fingers crossed!)

[A Little Unsatisfied, I Think]

I totally agree with these points you make. I am trying to calm down as I have taken all this rather badly. I can't believe there are people who used to play GR1 who are praising this game. Maybe it is because I used to play on PC and that was always maor tactics based. I dunno, can't work it out.

Getting rid of it tomorrow for HALO2 - may as well have a proper shoot em up as a half arsed one.

But I will keep my fingers crossed for the PC version of GR2

[Dubious Practice or Caveat Empor?]

After seeing all the weapons on the GR2 official site i decided to buy the damn thing today. Admittedly the weapons are not all that drew me too it, but it is the cynical and devious way theis angle has been marketted that has got my goat.

I am a long time player of GR1 and have always thought it was brilliant. I have to say I think GR2 is not, in fact far from it. Heres why

1. The weapons advertised as 'high-tech next gen' such as M8 etc can only be used in multiplayer and when you unlock the weapons by scoring points in campaign you just get to see pictures of them. This has been touched on before but I have to say OH MY GOD THAT IS PATHETIC!!!! (sorry about shouting). This looks like sharp practice as nowhere in the literature does it point this out and there is considerable space given to showing you lots of weapns you can't use. Unless of course you play multiplayer, but why should that be assumed?

2. All the stealth aspect of the game has been hammered out so adrenalin crazed kill freaks can run round blasting at everything (remind you of anyone in particulars armed forces).

3. Squad tactics have also been removed and replaced with a load of nonsense. Teh advance command just makes your numskull teammates go off in the general direction you point. Rubbish.

4. Where has the blood gone. This game is now a sanitised, simplified, egostistical mess.

I used to play GR on PC and I got this Xbox version due to the hype. Will I never learn not to be suckered by marketing people. I am taking it back tomorrow to change it for HALO2, a far superior game as it has no allusion to simulation and is a make believe shoot em up, just like GR2 is now - shame.

It sucks
