for those of you who dont know what Black Island is, they created such great games as Baulders Gate 1&2, Fallout 1&2,Icewind Dale 1&2, and PlaneScape Torment. Those games were the best RPGs and have inspired many of todays great RPGs. (Neverwinter Nights, and Knights of the old republic come to mind.)

this Swedish gun has a special round called the 4.81 SLAP. The round exits the barrel at 4400 fps, but at the trade off of 30 percent accuracy. Has this gun ever been in a mod, if so which one.

This is the best mod for Ghost Recon ever. It just shows how much hard work can be put in by people who dont even get paid! This is better then any Expansion ever put out by UBI. I would like to thank anybody who helped make this mod.

I have a Radeon 9700 Pro and my frind has a dell XPS with a 9800 NP, I have noticed that the 9700 Pro runs better with 3d Mark 03, but other then that the performance is about the same. The R9700 Pro WILL be able to run Doom 3, after all it is the card that D3 was shown on At E3.
As for HL 2 well, even a FX 5600 non ultra will be able to run that on full settings!

I tried to OC my 9700 Pro to 9800 Pro levels, but the card got so hot, you could cook bacon on it

First off, I found out I have an ASUS brand Motherboard, which I heard Is the best AMD Mobo around.
2nd my 1GB of Ram is Kingston Ram, I upgraded it from 512MB of nameless Ram

Awhile ago I made a compute for my bro with an AMD athlon 2700 XP and a Geforce FX 5600 256MB. I was very dissapointed with its performance and serched on for my own computer. Anyways I found a killer deal at CC. An HP computer, AMD Athlon 2800 XP, 1GB od PC2700 Ram, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. Everything is smooth as silk
. and it was only $1250.So I have a few questions.
First of all, how do I over my Barton core Athlon 2800+ XP (I have no clue what brand my Motherboard is, all I know is its Nforce2.)
2nd, is there a way I can OC my 9700 Pro to 9800 Pro levels. If so, How?
And 3rd, How do I find my Motherboard brand?

What case vendors would you recomend? I dont want to spend over $50 for a case

It looks apperant that I am not going to replace my P3 dell with a brand spanking new computer so I am just going to upgrade it. I already put in 512MB of RAM and a Radeon 9000 Pro 64MB. I plan to do the following things.
Put in a P3 1.4 Ghz and an ASUS Geforce4 TI 4600 4X AGP (I dont have 8X AGP so I need to use 4X AGP.)
Put in a P4 2.4 Ghz C 800 Mhz FSB, an ASUS P4800 mobo, and a MSI Radeon 4600 8X AGP
So my question is which I should do? Keep in mind that a new P4 mobo might not fit in my dell. Do you know if it will or wont?
also should I get a differnt video card? the Geforce is the best sub $250 card I could find. I looked for a Radeon 9500 pro but could not find one. could you give me a link?

This is about Overclocking dude, how much can you oc a G5 lol But yes they do perform the best in what I have seen. But also look how long it takes for them to be released compared to all the Intel and AMD cpu's. Anyone could turn out a better product if they had more time to work on it.
Ok, sorry for getting off topic. What you said is very true about apple. It takes them years to make a product, and when a product does come out it gets outdated faster then a Dell with a intergrated graphics card
. I for am thinking of getting a Mac Laptop insted of a windows laptop, because gaming isnt number one on my list.@RooK, is an operton faster then a G5?
To get back on topic, those intel processors loke very nice. 5.13 GHZ is jaw drooping as well.

Apple doesn't make those cpu's, IBM does. And for what it's worth, AMD and IBM are working together on cpu and transistor technology (IBM is even supposedly building AMD a fab), so it wouldn't surprise me if that 64bit IBM cpu has some AMD tech in it, ala Operton.
True, Apple doesnt make those CPUs, but my point was apple has the fastest most advanced CPU out on the market right now. It beats Intel and AMD, until Athlon 64

The leader isnt AMD OR Intel, yes apple is the leader in the best processors. Just look at the Power Mac G5 with a 64 bit processor. The first in its class.

If you go to pricewatch.com you will see that there are some 9600 256MBs
. I wonder if this is faster then the 9500 pro. I sure hope so 
There is also a 9600 ultra and ultimate version. -

I for one wont get to use a handgun till I get out of the house
But I have fired an auto shotgun. I think 8 guage (is that powerfull?) There were a few slug type rounds and man were they powerfull . I plan to get a few guns when I move out of the house. A '22 semi S&W, a '40 caliber S&W, and any high power revolver (any suggestions?) -

I could use the 9700 Pro, but Its still a bit too expensive. Is a 9700 non pro any good? Also I could get a 9500 pro, which is still in all the computer stores I go to.
What about an MSI Geforce 4 TI4600 8X AGP. It is supposed to be the best Geforce card money can buy, but no DX9 support
This may be a very stupid question to ask (gulp) but do ATI cards work with Nvidia Nforce 2 mother boards. I realy liked the one I put on by bros computer, it was an Abit NF7 Nforce 2. Sorry for the stupid question

I dont plan to buy that card. I just got an FX5600 for my brothers PC and now I need to build one for myself. I was kinda dissapointed with the 5600, so I dont want to get an FX. Do you have any recomendations for todays best cards (no 9800s, way too expensive)

About a month ago I said I was going to get a computer, Well about a month later (today) I did it!!!! My dad let me go all out on what I bought, up to 2500 Dollars , because he got a new job at BMW. Sooo my specs are.

Nforce2 LedTek
AMD Athlon Barton 2800
Sound Blaster Audgy gamer
Nvidia Geforce FX 5600 Ultra 256MB 8XAGP
21 inch IBM screen (It was free with my dads old job, one hell of screen
)2 WD 200 GB Hard Drive, a total of 400 GB!
1024MB of Ram.
So what do you think? RVS my most system demanding game ran at 40 50 FPS no lower then 40.
All these people at school are getting these "great" new dells, sure they got 3.06 GHZ but with an Intergrated intel card and worse, the system sucks.

Radeon 9100 128 or GF FX 5200 128?
The Radeon 9000,8500,9100,9200 are slower then the FX 5200, a Geforce 4 TI 4200 wouldnt be a bad idea to get though.....

Doing some more looking, I came along some video cards that were called saphire. what you have ruin. The Radeon 9700 Saphire pro 128MB 8X AGP looks like a nice card and has a good price, so I think I will get that.
