This game is something very new and different from everything else. online play is not arcadish for sure. PPL have different styles of play. I play with no respawns. Feels just like old gr. (but polished). SP is just totally different. I will finish sp and wont go back for more. If you have xbox live buy it. If not, rent it. SP and online play are two types of games.

I'd like to see something along the lines of X killed Y in-game so you know when your teammates are taking a dirt nap. It is hard to concentrate when you are constantly asking if anyone else is still alive.

this game is no different than gr1, either you love it or you hate it. The way I see it, game will have a shorter life span than before. there is so many good games of this genre coming. The bar is being raised every year. So far everyone I play with online loves this game. Just to say that most ppl online playing this game have either traded their Halo2 or stopped playing halo2..........and they say "this game blows any shooter out of the water" should mean something. Many hated gr1 as I can see the same is going gr2. bottom line, it boils down to your own personal taste. I

I agree with SUP. I like socom very much. I just don't care for the PS2 controls for fps. Gr games on xbox have very nice feel with the analogs. Aiming is great. the behind the shoulder look is very nice. I really like it. To answer your question, Red Storm took the best Ideas from all of the games I mentioned and put them all in one game. The auto reload was my only complaint for socom. I asked a dev from the socom team at E3 2 years before the game came, "why would you do that to a game that seamed almost flawless (at the time)". Spades, nice post. I would fully agree with you if we were playing this game on Xbox 2. You have to keep in mind that gr1 and grit were poor ports of PC. gr2 is not a port and it's three times bigger than gr1. You can't compare the two. I can see you are very big fan of the first two, I totally respect that. I don't know about gr1 being a military realistic sim. Some of it is and some of it isn't. The only I played that was the closest to real life was Americas Army. I have an Alienware Area 51 with 2gigs of ram and 256mb vid card. I bet that gr2 will be very nice on my pc. I have to give

I think the host selects which skin set the team has. Like Alt 1, Alt 2, Korean, ect ect. I havnt found a way to select my own skin, and I hope their is because it would really be alot better. ← It makes sence that the mod would select whic category of skins IE. korean, ghost, US, and Int'l. I think we should be able to pick from alt1 alt2 and alt3. Instead of all whole team being alt 1. If I want to be a marksman I would like to have a marksman skin. Thats it.

I tried all nite long to change my skins and I failed to do so. all battles looked like the clone wars. is this bugged or can i actually change my skin?
