  1. Anybody fancy making a new British SAS or Royal Marines Mod?

    Im wanting to replace the Ghost Recon voices with real british accents as it does sound daft when youve got SAS soldiers using american accents and words in a game-but i need a new mod to put them in!

    Ive tried contacting various modders of British SAS/Royal Marines mods-but to no avail.

    I also want to do the briefings for the missions - i have a few ex RAF,Royal marines and TA soldiers who are willing to help me out to do the voiceovers and maybe change some of the vocabulary to make it more-'British' -i just need a mod :(

  2. I ve managed to get some of the voices working in game- however, the game will only play one of the soundfiles? (on a team move command) and it plays the same sound on a team stop command (even tho it shouldnt!) and refuses to play any other soundfile in that folder.

    ive copied all the soundfile names from the origmiss folder.

    All soundfiles are 16bit 22khz wavs and ive reconcilled them in igor

    Anybody got any ideas why its not cycling through the soundfiles?

    Does anyone know how i go about changing the default voices in GR? ive made a folder in my mod called 'sounds', and used the same filename/wav bitrate etc as the original-yet it still only plays the original GR voices?

    Where is the xml document that references the character voices?

    i dont want to alter the hero voices (yet) just the main characters :hmm:

  4. Thanks for all your help guys- i think ive finally sorted it.By not having an xml file all of the sounds played back properly :thumbsup:

    Im gunna try and get my new weapons sound mod finished and uploaded ASAP , so you guys can all try it out.

Still having problems-created new mod folder for sounds-used same filenames as originals.problem is when sounds are played gr only plays the first gun sound(m16,say) and then proceeds for every character(with diff weapons) to play that sound.Re installed gr to see if this is prob-still happening, so removed my xml file from mod-Success!! my sounds now play alongside the original -the only problem is that i cant reconcile my sounds or add an xml file as doing this just makes it revert back the original problem-anybody got any ideas??

  6. Im workin on a new sound mod (similar to kaffees sound mod)-but i cant seem to get gr to play the right(new) gun sounds-It seems to only play the M16_ss file for every single gun (ive done all of the sounds for five guns so far).

    The file names are all correct as i named them all after gr's default sounds.

    My sound files arent the same length as the original sounds-will this make a diference?

    Do i have to replace ALL of the gun sounds in gr?

    Do i need to redo all of the gun files?

    Any help is much appreciated,

  7. Im redesiging some new gun sounds for gr-but i cant seem to get the sounds loud enough-the soundfiles are already about as loud as they can go and sound fine when played out of the game, as soon as i put them into gr the sound seems to drop a several db's.

    It almost seems like theyve been "filtered" as the sounds loose all of their top end also... :(

    Is there anything i need to do to make the gun sounds louder and brighter?
