unregistered

Ok well I have been playing ghost recon for a while and my mac friend got interested while playing it at my house one day. So I tell him to dl the mac demo and I would dl the gr demo. problem is that they won't connect to each other. They have different version numbers and I was wondering if that was the problem. I installed GR Demo (PC) of a game disc I got w/ my sound card. So is there a more up to date demo out there or can me and my mac friend not play together?
