Hello everyone, new guy coming through!

My question concerns the night vision goggles. In the training mission between T-07 and T-08 you have to navigate through a dark hallway, I turned on my NVG's and still could not see a darn thing. My reticle was green so I know it was active but the hall was pitch black. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank Chadarak07
