So far Rumsfeld is not confirming whether Saddam was killed or not. Hes just telling the iraqi regular army to surrender and not use weapons of mass destruction against coalition forces.
Perhaps Saddam is dead and they just don't want to say just yet till they are able to confirm.

Heh Heh NIghtmare. Actually I've been toying with the idea of a Super Duper Ultra Top secret Confidential U.S. Super Soldier Program.
You will be my first guinea pig nightmare.
I will augment you through various means and give you nightmarishly advanced defensive and offensive weaponry and parachute you into iraq for a test run.
But anyway,
I am very suspicious of that guy who gave the speech on tv who was supposed to be Saddam. Why was he wearing those big glasses? Why did he look so closely to that notepad to make a speech that he was alive? Was that a body double?
Ok. New question..........
Say that he might be dead..............what effect would it have on iraqi defense plans? If I was Saddam's sons I would be double checking my swiss bank accounts and getting the hell out of dodge.
Any further thoughts??

Everybody knows about the suprise target of opportunity attack on that bunker by now.
Then not too long afterward Saddam made a speech condemning attack and proving he was alive. However some suspect the guy shown on tv wasn't Saddam but a body double. To those who saw him speak what do you think? Was that Saddam? Or is he dead or wounded and iraqi officials are trying to cover.

Unfortunately, it seems Saddam has just made an address to Iraq condemning the attack. I guess it was just to prove to everybody that he was alive. Or that maybe the person shown on the tv was a body doube.
Or maybe the person that was killed was a body double. Its hard to say whats really going on.
Truth is the first casualty of war. Deception is reigning on both sides.

You need to use winrar to open up the packaged file. Inside will be the movie file and a codec file that will enable your player to view movie.
Get the winrar program at winrar.com I believe.
By the way......hows the m82sd with camo coming along?

I am working on the cheytac as well. the model 200 one. But let me see how yours turns out.
I have already found some pics of the lahti and I have asked de_nome_lanicon to do it. I will add it to the mod. But I'm not gonna add a scope to it and gonna give it ridiculous recoil lol.
Yet gonna give it a slightly wider blast radius just to balance it not having a scope.

And this isn't exactly my mod its more our mod (our being gr community). I'm referring to the ghostrecon community mod. I think that is where this model would be going. We ned an m-14 definately.

Ummm those kinds of rifles your suggesting will probably be going to the ghostrecon community mod being how I'm involved with that one too. If you guy were to go to the general mods section and look at that post by sgt. crocodile on the community mod..........
He has a list there of weapons that hes wanting for it. Maybe you guys can look at that list and pick a weapon that hes wanting and model it? How about some cool M16 sniper variants?
That would be a nice touch.
I have to get some pics of some kool rifles thats been done for the mod and start previewing it here on the forum. De_Nome_lanicon has done a very nice WW2 boyes amr which will be a nice touch for the sniper cannon mod.

Base your model on that and post your prototype here. Hopefully some kind sould would then take the pic shown here and texture your model for you.

Not sure I would have time to texture. Perhaps someone could offter to do that. However, I would still like the model done. Wait....can you do a nice m14 sniper rifle? someone said they wanted that one. What do you think?

Then when Saddam goes on trial he will be first person testifying against Saddam. Either that or running away from Iraqis seeing revenge on anybody working for the old goverment.

Budgie.......I hope your not deterred from expressing your opinions in the future. Its just that these are touchy times right now. I respect your opinion. And I hope you see the other side of the opinion as well.
If I was the U.S. president I would have been.....well to say it out loud......deceitful when it came to our position on terminating political leaders externally. I would have had a C.I.A. hit team take saddam out and make deals with his enemies to take over and set up a decent goverment.
Better yet I would have supported an internal coup. And if the C.I.A. director came into my office and tell me Saddam is too protected.......I would take off my belt and whip him silly in front of my cabinet members and other officials.........then fired his dumb "behind". And then have my secret service guys throw him out on white house lawn! Then I would yell to everybody else in room......"anybody else think its not possible?"
Even better still...........I would have created a "mission impossible" team. Not that retarded Tom cruise action crap. But the guy from the old '60s show. Those guys knew how to use deception and guile to manpulate people into doing what they don't even know would not be what they want. LOL
They could trick him into thinking going into exile would be the best thing to do.

I have a great and committed friend helping with the assembly. But hes on 56k!!!!!
He needs help. I do too. I seem to be the main guy with it comes to coming up with ideas and making back room deals with modder's donations from all over. But I don't have alot of time either. Right now in fact I have to take some time to study for a test in the next few days.
I need somebody who is not only willing but has time on his hands to help assemble material for the mod.
Please if this description fits you then please respond to this post and I will try to get you access to the ftp site that 300mag owns. Thats where we have the material we have so far.
My job is to make deals with modders for material then keep track of them and keep bothering them to finally upload their stuff. Heh Heh.
There is no rush for the mod at the moment because we are considering making two different .gun files for each gun. So we can have restrictions for realistic type gun reticules and one for easy gun reticles.
Thereby uniting both types of players who like only one style of gun ret.

Grm4.8 is a gun mod with "stolen" material so that is frowned upon by official modders. Plus the mod has extremely easy types of gun reticules that for some take away the appeal of the game. However there are a large number of players that like the easy types of gun rets.
This has split the gr community because a number of players definately enjoy the mod while the rest do not.

Here is hooker's tutorial on making sniper rifles.
Hooker's sniper rifle tutorial
Its text with links to picture examples. Its a good tutorial. On the 2nd page is a paragraph on making the scope.
His method uses cylinders which is produces alot of polygons in my opinion. I usually take a extruded ngon and give it several segments to manipulate into a scopes shape. But follow his tutorial from the start. It will prepare you for the second page and doing the scope.
Does anybody have any other better methods for making a scope or links to more tutorials?

News update: I just saw another air strike by U.S. forces most probably. Another building was just taken out. Much bigger explosion than that bunker Saddam might have been in.
Looks like they took out a command and control facility. Again, the media thought it was the start of the "shock and awe" campaign. But it seems to have died down again.
Heh Heh. Saddam must be going nuts by now. Explosion then quiet explosion then quiet. And the "shock and awe" is yet to come.
Incredible. History before our eyes.
