  1. Yes, I too am amazed by GRIN's open communication with the fan base. Not even redstorm communicated like this to the fans. And lets not even talk about ubisoft and their willingness to communicate. By the way, wasn't redstorm really to thank for GR1?
  2. They'll answer if they feel like answering and if they are allowed to answer on that topic. Please don't prod them. ← *Pokes GRIN staff members with a stick*
  3. Since the GRIN staff has been so actively late on the forum how bout a response? An official response by you guys on how snipers and sniping will be part of the game will settle alot of peoples minds who are thinking of buying graw. Come on GRIN where are you?
  4. I would like to know how snipers will be treated in graw. Would it be like playing sniper elite or would it be like snipers in bf2? GRIN staff....this question is for you guys. Please elaborate if at all possible. And if this has been discussed in detail before please point me to the appropriate thread. Thanks.
  5. I don't know why but people diving, sliding in games do not phaze me when I'm aiming, you see some very wacky ###### during War. Example: I saw an Iraqi hiding in a trash can like oscar the grouch with a hole drilled in the side, our spotter spotted his barrel sticking out of it, too bad the garbage can didn't protect him against a nade. ← LOL! almost feel sorry for him..............almost.
  6. Hey Hey!!! Was the one with the ubisoft guy gettin hit in the face with a pie REAL?????? If so then........dang nabbit somebody beat me to it!
  7. I understand your point. - Is it possible for a Ghost pick up a fallen Ghost member's weapon (not just the ammo)? silent_op ← Thats an excellent question! Well, if for instance you were playing a sp game or a co-op game where the respawns were set to zero then I wouldn't see a problem being able to pick up a weapon from a fallen comrade. Unless of course the devs disagree.
  8. If hes cia then hes part of the CIA paramilitary. They are recruited directly from the special forces. Also, all the the special forces whether they be CIA or rangers.. they all seem to be adapting to the environment that they are in. Beard or not its just that I wanted graw to really seem like a special forces game......not "America's Army" set in the future. When you think about it Zaxis, there wouldn't be anything wrong whatsoever if that bearded guy in the pic was wearing the heads up display from graw. As long as he also continued to wear a beard and sunglasses and baseball cap.
  9. Yeah GRIN, please modify the body awareness so that when you look down you can see your beard. ← Why not? That would be cool. Seriously, jokes aside, you all understand what I'm trying to communicate though right?
  10. Yes desmond please answer these. You can respond to my post in the other thread here too if you like.
  11. Prozac whats your opinion of the console version?
  12. Yes GRIN staff. There is a whole whole lot I want to communicate to you guys there. Great job so far in and of itself but before you guys finish patting yourselves on the back there is stuff to consider. Certainly what prozac suggested. And also, yes different environments. Here though are just a few of my concerns: I see you guys still went ahead with the 4 man squad format like the console version. I guess you wanted to mimic the marine's "ready, team, fire, assist" doctring. But does this reflect a real special forces unit? I think I remembered one of the GRIN staff mention that t
  13. I'm responsible for all sound effects - and I must say it saddens me that almost no one seems to care for the sound. Isn't the sound half the experience? Doesn't the sound have the power to make or break your view of an entire game? Nooo, let's discuss gfx cards and detail settings! Yeah, let's do that! And let's just talk about the expectations regarding the game's visuals only, yeah that's interesting. Really, yeah. 'Cause that's the only area where things can be next-gen, yeah. Oh yeah. Oh, did I ruin your gfx praise party with my... slight bitterness? ← Well dude, lets talk abo
  14. Look BoGRIN..................... I don't know if you are aware of who I am. Or if Rocky warned you about me. Or if you ever came across any of my posts on this forum or the official GR forum over the YEARS but I would very much like to offer some constructive criticism and/or praise on the video. I think if you did know who I was and what my experiences and opinions were of the original game you would welcome my input..........but I can't. At least I can't offer anything of value based on that little trailer. I'm sorry but the video was just too short. Its looks like we're really
  15. Thanks. It would seem after some investigation from the links the solution to the problem is the sound acceleration. Going into the control panel and sound and multimedia, I turned audio acceleration to "none" and that did the trick. No more crashes in sniper elite. So now I'm enjoying the gameplay and its a cool game at that.
  16. Naw see my dad suggested that the bird should be sold......... .....at least.....thats what I thought he said. ..............uh oh.
  17. Ok well, what about this assassin game someone mentioned? Any info on that one? Oh, please let it be a modern version of sniper elite.......... ........one that doesn't crash when you try to play it!
  18. For some hardware combinations the game sniper elite seems to go blue screen then crashes. The games been out for a while. Has there been any fixes at all that has been made to address this problem? Its a really good game and I would actually like to play it.
  19. Additionally, th AGEia card will handle about three times the number of rigid body objects as the NVidia solution 32,000 vs. "10,000+". ← Thing is though I think ATI just announced that they are throwing in their support for HavokFX as well. Time will tell if either Aegia or Havok will win the physics fight. Hey, so like, what aegia cards are available as of now?
  20. LOL never you mind that! Thing was my dad decides to leave the freaking thing in a part of the hallway where I would HAVE to pass by it to get to the bathroom. And the bird cage is set up in such a way that Its a narrow passageway past him. The bird also likes to be outside on top of the cage FREE!!!! So every time I have to "go" I risk death. :'( He usually tries to bite my shoulders or my stomach so I gotta inhale alot and pull my stomach in and whatnot. Freakin jaws of death stupid bird!!!!! But thats all in the past now halleluia!!! My dad was casually suggesting the other
  21. At first I thought the Nvidia SLI solution paired with the HavokFX API might be better than the seperate Aegia cards. But from listening to you guys (or rather reading your posts) I've come to consider that perhaps Aegia might indeed be better. If what you guys are saying are true then Nvidia would basically be forcing everyone to get 2 cards to enable the physics acceleration to work. Plus there is an actual trade off in 3d performance if the 2nd card has to work on physics? The only customers who would get the most benefit then would be the ones whom already have a 2nd card for SLI. And
  22. I think you may have registered on the wrong site my friend. There are MANY here who do ← LOL exactly! That guy O B V I O U S L Y must be new to ghost recon because he simply has N O I D E A what hes talking about. Yes indeed do we all hope and pray they got the co-op part of the game right. We've been waiting five years NOT for ghost recon advanced warfighter but in reality we have been waitin for GR2 PC. What was officially launched as GR2 for the console I (and many others here) do not even dignify as to acknowledge that it even existed!!!! This game GRAW?.......THATS IN
  23. The Nvidia physics is not supported now as it is upcoming and GRAW is imminent ← I personally think that is a mistake. Would it be possible then to add nvidia physics support in a later patch? ← there is no nVidia physics, it's Havok FX showed on a sponsored event tomorrow at the GDC San Jose on nVidia hardware ... but they stated it will run on all SM 3.0 cards I think there will be no patch for GRAW, maybe in the next GRAW version. It's not just an easy addon, it takes time to integrate this in a game depending on how different the API for PhysX and Havok FX is and if a
