  1. Right. I was in no way suggesting that I want to play with C4 in GR:AW the way I do in BF2. GR:AW is, thankfully, a completely different game. ← I'm not suggesting you all do. But I WOULD like to have a demo that actually blows up. I'm sure the devs or a modder can make it in such a way so that its not like the free for all slamfest that is BF2 and their C4/demos.
  2. Don't worry ya'll........we'll just have to mod it in. muhooohahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
  3. sup dude!! Sorrys man but my budget for my master plan is tight. In fact, I have to buy all my dream parts piecemeal. I wish I was a millionaire. Then I would buy all meh buds top notch super system parts. ATHLON DUAL CORES FOR EVERYONE!!
  4. Sorry, but all my extra money is going for the mentioned computer part goodness. Oh, and whats up parabellum? We all know your views on the gr2 pc fiasco but what is your opinion on graw so far?
  5. Hey GRIN_bedhead...I know ya watchin this thread. How about an official statement? Or if this has been discussed before maybe a linky to the correct thread?
  6. You know I will!! Heck, you guys just don't realize how crazy I am...especially for gr. And as a matter of fact I do know indeed how much power its gonna take to run the dell 3007. In fact, I'm waiting for the nvidia card based on the g80 chip to come out. So I've decided to skip the 7900 cards because really they are ultimately a refresh of the architecture found in the 7800 cards. And that quad sli stuff is just flash and nonsense. Its the next gen g80 chip that I'm interested in and that baby should run 2560x1600 games with all the eye candy turned on with good frame rates. Plus,
  7. I'm getting the dell 3007wfp with all the trimmings. cybernetic interface if I could find one. But really, please tell me graw supports that resolution.
  8. Well he wasn't asking - he was pointing out obvious bugs in a manner that made it look like he thought he was informing the developer of something they didn't already know. A question mark at the end of the sentence doesn't always make it a question you know. You don't have any understanding for how this ss autopsy attitude can be frustrating for a developer? It's like underestimating their intelligence. Oh well, I didn't mean to start bashing anyone - I'd just like to let ya'll know it indeed is a little irritating reading this kind of posts, and see how they quickly whirl into a to
  9. Its sad when one has to depend upon someone else for their own imagination.
  10. As more and more raw recruits keep signing up to this forum your going to keep getting the same questions. And yes especially this question about the demo. My view is that there will be NO demo. If they come out with the demo at least a week before May 5th then that would at least be....something.
  11. So they weren't video. My fault. I guess my opinion still stands.
  12. LOL, maybe he should have been a sailor. 2nd... I get your point now, B-6. IMO, it may be a matter of making a better game. If you center the site off both eyes and your dominate eye takes over then it would be the same aspect as siting with the dominate eye only. This would give you the same aspect either way just a little more of the bigger picture. Now, if you are trying to give the gamer another view with a clearer view. You can go with a off eye and give the gamer a large picture of the combat zone. Now, let's take this a little further, if your a general and looking to impro
  13. We Bo did comment that I didnt know how to program and that I may be an armchair commando. But I do think that was a defensive reaction because I was a little harsh in my opening post. While I have not used any of this stuff in a life or death situation or the military, I am someone who has used these items and do so on a regular basis. ← So he got defensive huh? Well then recruits!! I guess you know now that they did exactly what we knew they did was to make the zooms like any other standard fps. *sigh* Newbies. Anyways, I see a GRIN developer online and I hope he commen
  14. You so know the answer to that ← HOW??? HOW do we know the answer to that???!!! Are you saying we can actually do that in game?
  15. That would be just too cool. Perhaps this can be done in a mod?
  16. I hope that this post doesn't get double posted I had trouble with my browser. anyways here goes....... Ok, I think I've come up with a simple fix for the use of holosights. most fps games generally have an unzoomed view where it seems your holding the gun at your hip and a zoomed view where you have the gun scope shoved in ya eye socket. At that point all you can do then is either walk very very slowly or to do what is more practical and that is to stand still or go prone. I propose a special zoom mode that is only activated when you use a holosight. When your "zoom" mode with a holo
  17. Hes not talking about the rets but how how the sights are used in the game. Because as it is now holosights in fps games now are really useless and do not mimic their real world features. Games treat holosights like their are super zoom scopes and you have to practically stand still to use them properly when they were meant for fast action use. Apparently, GRIN is simply mimicking what is the standard when it comes to gun sights in a game. That would have been incredible if they also created a new technique when it came to the use of gun sights like holosights in game that made it seem m
  18. I totally totally agree with you. TOTALLY! But, my suspicion is that its because of the limitations of playing a game through a small little box window. Perhaps someday something could be done......someday. Has the GRIN team commented on this yet? I would especially like to hear their thoughts on this one.
  19. This is what I found the most interesting in the article......... "The most interesting thing about the editor that was mentioned was that levels made in the editor by users are not limited to four player cooperative. Imagine that. User made levels will allows multiple squads to run around and work together, frankly the gameplay possibilities are utterly unlimited by that amount of cooperative play." So by default there will only be 4 man co-op missions but using the editor and modding you can have more players in co-op!
  20. So...um ronin? ........................its like umm.....april so.............hi? I'm still here....waitin...
  21. True, Standing also gives better acuracy , there is no way you will hit the target dead on while running.. Same with shooting .. That's like RAMBO! .. ← Then fine. Make it so that there are accuracy penalties according to the amount of movement you make while throwing the nade. Perfect accuracy of course would be when your standing still.
  22. Describe your realistic and flexible middleground. ← Perhaps the freedom to sidestep to the right to left as long as it was done slowly would at least be still considered freedom. Or with all those sliding moves GRIN put in how about a move where you can lob a nade and then quickly duck all done in a quick one-two action move. It can be done so that it takes practice to complete the maneuver. Sorry it took so long to respond haven't been to this thread in a while.
  23. The first time I played the first mission in Ghost Recon, I was so careful sneaking around and getting everyone into position for an attack, I think the total time for the mission was about an hour. Anyway, from what people have said who appear to be the most die hard GR fans on the planet, and have had "eyes on target" the actual game, I don't think there's much to worry about. I don't see anything wrong with giving GRIN or even UBI a big premature slap on the back followed by a case of Corona's or DosXX on Cinco de Mayo. ← Hey! The fat lady hasn't sung yet and the chickens
