  1. I've been a fan of the ESPN series since it was 2k2, although I think last years madden was better than last years ESPN. But this year it's back to the ol' 2k. And I heard they're gonna be selling it for $20, too!

  2. Why did God create man before woman?

Because you're always supposed to have a rough draft before creating your masterpiece.

^ Too true. Anyway, this seems like a good time for me to say:

    FOOTBALL AMERICANO R0X0RZ UR B0X0RZ!!!11!!!ONE!!

  3. Not that I feel the need to justify my avatar, but for the record I used it for the simple fact that I like the symbols, and the way it looks. May seem strange to some I suppose, and I'm sorry if it offends anyone else.

  4. Hmm, well being Chamoru and living on Guam (the only U.S. soil to be occupied during WWII? Heard that somewhere, though I'm not sure it's true) which was taken by the Japanese I get to hear a lot of stories.

My grandpa on my father's side was taken, along with all the other men in his village, into the jungle to be massacred by the Japanese shortly before the American liberation. Fortunately, news of other massacres around the island had reached them and so they knew what was coming, and rebelled.

My grandpa and great grandpa on my mom's side were tortured by the Japanese. They were looking for a Marine Radioman named George Tweed, and so tortured a lot of the local people in an effort to find him. He actually wrote about it for the Guam War Claims Review Comission, so perhaps I'll post some of his experiences later on.

    Yeah, the Japanese were brutal.

  5. The realistic damage code is misleading, it doesn't actually offer realistic damage, it just gives you "Authentic Mode" which has the HUD removed.

Some other things I can add...

1.) When either you or the enemy has the shield icon (meaning you're behind solid cover) you're pretty much invincible, meaning no shot can hit any part of your body that's exposed. Although in the Army version (see code) this isn't the case, and any exposed part of you or your enemy can be hit.

2.) Personally, I love the soldier personalities and I think it actually adds to the game, rather then detracts from it.

3.) You can call in a helicopter to recon the map for you, I think once per mission. It'll reveal some enemy positions on your GPS.

  6. Just got finished playing it an hour ago, and I love it!

The atmosphere of the game is just incredible, from the way the camera shakes when you're running to the (colorful) dialogue between the soldiers to cutscenes. Very, very immersive.

  7. it's in theatres already, but i wouldn't recommend it. the first one had a lot of action in it and was awesome, but the second one's pretty different and is mostly dialogue. kinda like reservoir dogs (i don't like that movie either).

which reminds me, pulp fiction rocks.
