  1. Hi all, just played the GREAT mission that Chavez did for the SSL. I was just wondering what you all got in single player? Remember that I'm not that good, so be kind. <_< My first time out i got 59. :)

    what did you all get on your first time out? How did you do it? (how many AI's did you take etc...)

  2. well, their might be a better way but...

    1. make a n-gon with 8 sides. extrude it to the length you want.

    2. to create the rails just make rectangles and place them on the n-gon at the top, bottom, and sides.

    but the real trick with these things is having a REALLY good texture...and maybe Alfa blending for the holes?

  3. hey all. thanks for the responses.

    i tried to find pics of the Aurora Tac M91. I managed to find one good one on the official site but it was on an angle (although it was really big and the angel wans't that bad). Does anyone know/have a good side on shot of the M91?

    also, how about Tactical Operations, would thier rifles be used? which one of thiers would most likely be used? Bravo-51 maybe...

  4. no, never did get that answered. It has been a reoccurring problem, but it's never been this stubborn before :(

    while i'm waiting for that to get solved i'm gonna start making a few other models. (see "sniper rifles" thread in this forum)

    As far as the FR mod goes, i'm not really the one in charge. Recon Snake seems really busy lately, but if i get 'em done in time i'll mention it to him. :)

  5. i wanted to make a few more sniper rifles, but then realized i don't know of many. :o Which ones are US/UK/any other country using? And seeing as (i think anyway) most SF snipers could choose thier own weaps, which ones would they choose??? :huh:

    PS, wasn't sure weather or not this needs to go in RWSF forum. Move as you see fit. :)

  6. hey all, i've got a great scope texture on the model and it looks really good. The model as it is now (w/o optimizing) has about 1300 FACES (are these the same as polly's?)

    anyway, i've got a problem with the stock texture, (it's prolly a problem with 3DSM). When ever i go into the material editor and select the stock texture, as soon as i press "ok" it crashes to desktop. ######? This has been an ongiong problem with my 3DSM...It's odd becuase it works with some textures (like the scope) but it doesn't with others. normally i just restart and re-name the problematic texure, and if i'm lucky it will work. Anybody have any ideas?

  7. vest is fine, i'm just fixing up the details. I'll try and have it by the end of this weekend. Do ya mind if i use the standard GR desert camo for the vest?

    what's the great idea for that skin...???

    PS, throat or boom mic...hmmm...i think a boom mic looks cooler, but that's just me ;)
