It's because due to the nature of how the Ghosts operate, vehicles would be loud and cumbersome. Whereas the Ghosts are trained to be ground stealth, evading the enemy and all that.

GR2 will be released on all platforms, so the idea that people who play on the cosoles are the guinea pigs wont really happen. This game is being developed for each platform. We just gotta have faith in Ubi, they brought us GR1 after all.

I'd like to see the game in 1st person Chopper insertion and extraction. I don't think vehicles are stealthy enough considering these guys are trained for it. A mixture of 2 & 3 piece kits. 3 piece kits if you're packing an AR, sidearm/binocs/sensors and grenade. 2 piece kit if you're packing an AR and M136 (or something similar). Siege games that have actual viable siege points, like a bank, embassy, a room or anything, just not a patch of land. Adversial mission mode. Do the missions online, but the other team have to prevent you from carrying out the mission.

Although Ubi seem to think that console gamers are lame (take RS3 on the Xbox for example, they decided that we're so crap, we should take at least 20 bullets to the chest before you die), I think a 3rd person camera would be a too-big-a jump for just consoles, I guess that it'd take some heavy recoding. And plus, why would they choose 3rd person over 1st person, are they trying to tell us that their 1st person code sucks? I dunno, I'm just very skeptical about this whole thing. I might give Ubi an email using from my admin@ghostrecon2.co.uk email and ask them to falsify OXM's statement.

For us, April Fools is 7 days old now, but I guess for those at OXM, they think to thereselves "Oh wow! The April edition of OXM, lets put in some things that everyone'll think is funny" So you get my point? These people aren't funny, just annoying, and for a sick, sick joke they've told us it's gonna be 3rd person. But then does that mean there's no preview? (I guess then they'd be liable for false advertising)

That's what I read in the UK OXM too, Koriel. Pfft, 3rd person!? I've hated 3rd person shooters ever since Brute Force. Not even RSE can be serious about this, surely, GR is 1st person through and through, surely. What I want to know, is why there's so much media mutterings about the Xbox version of GR2, but I hear little about PC, PS2, GC etc. Even though I'm an Xbox gamer, I don't want this game to be built as a console game, I want a PC port, it's the best way.
