  1. News is rushing the issue just like dragon skin. Like the story of the SF soldiers in the other topic. The guy was a known enemy. Shoot first ask later sounds good. Unarmed men can be suicide bombers aswell. Media confuses the issues to much.
  2. Nah, I just played with him almost as much as my squad m8s. He is on par with some of the best players I know. I just get tired of people randomly looking at walls and not checking corners. Granted some of the legit players do the same thing when tracking some ones footsteps but when it is constant and players aren't within sound distance... little obvious yea? If any of you played americas army when Punkbuster setup that little delayed GUID ban thing after 1.6? release.... was hilarious watching the hacker forums squirm with how do I get unbanned for almost a month. Was hundreds of
  3. Same old crap different game. Theres not to many people I know that play as good as ruggbutt and even then on my best day and his best day It will be a decent match. but then there is about half a dozen guys I seen I can't even challenge. Death death death on my Good or bad day. Getting tired of games for this very reason to be honest.
  4. Still not shipped out.. but here is some of my reasons. 1. Get payed better then most civi jobs I've had. 2. Challenge myself physically/mentally. 3. Joining is somthing I always wanted. 4. Experience to gain. 5. Career options. 6. Medical is a bonus. 7. Money for school is a bonus 8. Sign on Bonuses are a bonus. Truth is though there are thousands of reasons. It just seems like somthing I would like to do.
  5. quad and octa cores will solve this ppu/aicards problems. just waiting is the problem. Dual core just now starting to become common.
  6. At least we found them! It is kind of like working at a grocery store I guess inventory and stuff. Manager to grocery lead. Make sure you order for aisles 5-9 Grocery lead: I can't stay past my work times have to pick up kids. Manager: OK, me and ast. manager will do it. Next day truck day.... Manager: where is our truck?! Lead: Did you order it? Silence and then %(&%@
  7. This reminds me of star fox.
  8. It is tricky at the moment because of how older games and vista drivers work together. It is kind of like running an emulator on a mac and saying it is worse. The code is just conflicting and unoptimized for the OS Crysis will be a good one to find performance differences on since crytek, nvidia, intel, and microsoft are all working on it together for vista. which I highly doubt will run better on XP machines. Just a note I have been using 163.11 beta drivers... Which from the naked eye seems to have near matched XP peformance on most applications.
  9. yep it varies pretty wildly from game to game. While GRAW2 runs great for me GTR2 runs like complete garbage untill I activate dual core. Even then FPS are less on my 8800gts then the 7900gs.
  10. big subway thing added. must watch a video ad every now and then. Tried adding wow3 m4sopmod mod. wow3 worked for a while then suddenly disappeared out of the mods folder. if you haven't played the original GR its good otherwise GR with expansions is still the best. [post moved to the GR discussion thread]
  11. 524mb. Im guessing that. No it does not contain the expansion packs. Waiting for it to finish to see if some mods will work with it. [post moved to the GR discussion thread]
  12. what power supply are you running?
  13. about face, march. where did we turn off at like 10 posts ago?
  14. while people will debate what the 2nd amendment really means all you have to do is look at the people who proposed it in the first place or even the proposed constitutions. It was ment for national and state defence. In some instances of the proposed constitution it was actually used to limit large military. There is no doubt the amendment was originally supposed to be the insurance to keep a tyranny from happening.
  15. Cops get shot at over here to. Pretty crazy how they disrespect the law. as for our special case... it used to be law in some states that you have to carry a weapon. 1 city still has that law... almost no crime there supposibly.
  16. Bad man with gun can only be stopped by a good man with gun. At least that is how it usually works.
  17. omg lol http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=...;videoid=828386
  18. Thats actually a really good post keyfox.
  19. yeah if the heat index is rocketing it up a mere 2* consider yourself lucky. Humidity is worse then heat IMHO. Even a soldier I knew was saying it was worse then Iraq's weather. A bad day here it will be 90-96 but the humidity can skyrocket it upto 100-120 It depends though locally. Last summer when I was a roller coaster operator we had a temperature monitor at the top of the ride.... Constantly read 115 for almost 2 months while the local news was saying only 90*f outside. Everyone at the park was complaining about the heat and petitioning to allow camelbaks to be part of the un
  20. I will disagree with you there. Violent behavior is just behavior. It is no different then when you become unhappy about something you make an angry face. How you deal with emotions though is up to the parents to teach.
  21. It is deep rooted but is easier to overcome for some individuals then others. For example.... men bearing down on 13 year old girls. Most guys know for moral reasons or action and reaction (getting arrested) it is obvious that it is a bad idea. Sadly the guys that do the act think with their lower brains and that tells them its fine and natural to do what they do. So while they may know it is wrong they literally almost don't think about it and it is more instinct then anything else. Ive caught hell for saying this before but there is good science behind it. Just things I pick up
  22. We play violent video games to indulge in violent behaviors we would usually never be willing to do IRL. This is tied into every aspect of our culture today. From football to movies. It is no different then the romans having gladiators fight to the death except they are using real people and not video games to do it. This is also seen in many other aspect that conflict with cultures or laws. For example dog or ###### fighting. It is a fight to the death over an opposing threat to maintain a since of dominance. This feeling is natural and can become to real. It is a instinct of
  23. Just tell her it was on sale!
  24. Thats O.K. First time you fire up the game/engine though don't fly out of your chair.
