    Far Cry OUT!

nvm I found out how to do this. Type \r_displayinfo 1 (press TAB for \) in console (0 = off). That command displays performance statistics such as frames per second, number of polygons in scene, etc.. more info at: FAR CRY SINGLE PLAYER DEMO TWEAKS, CHEATS AND MODS

    Far Cry OUT!

Anyone find a way to show the frame rates while playing this game? Like how ghostrecon has an option to do so?
  3. did you just copy the files into the mod directory or did you have it make a separate folder with the modded files inside in your mod directory. That makes a difference
  4. If you want to find a safe overclock for your ATI card you can use this tool also. atitool takes a little balls to use this though.
  5. I got my parts for my system from various places. The cheapest place I have come across to date has been buyextremegear I recently went back to the site though and they have raised some of their prices but still competitive. I'm glad I built my computer when I did because I would've paid more for it now than I did a couple of months ago which is weird.
  6. i see mine at 62 idle and 69 load with overdrive enabled.
  7. that certainly is a sweet setup. that's over 9 g's USD. what are you going to use this system for?? 4gb of ram damn. well now i'm curious what your benchmark scores are. please post your aquamark, futurmark, sandra, GAT and CAS settings.
  8. put together your own computer it's fun. Then you know what kind of parts you are getting and can customize it to your liking. I spent less than 1300 on mine. Bought a dell at the same time for work and it costed 100 bucks more but came with no vidcard.
  9. I had the same card MSI version. Worked like a charm in my AMD system. The thing about my amd I remember is that my hsf sounded like a swamp cooler and I had to change it out every two months because it kept warping and wedging itself against the heatsink.
  10. the 230 and 115 is for different countries. 115 is normally for the US and 230v is for the rest of the world I think. That's the voltage rating on the outlets i believe. not sure what kind of problems that would pose having your ram that way. You could alway test it using memtest86. look that up and download it. put it on a floppy and then boot up your system. It will tell you if your ram is producing any errors. If it is then it could be your ram.
  11. 2.6c o.c.'d to 3.25 zalman cu7000A abit IS7 2x256 geil golden dragon pc3500 9800xt wd 8mb 80g hd x-pider aluminum case generic turbolink 420psu I really need a new psu but this one does the job so far. Hopefully this setup lasts me a few years. My last computer was an athlon 850 but shorted out due to the heatsink on the cpu falling off and coming into contact with my brand new ti4200. Couldn't salvage anything from that afterwards.
  12. just curious what kinds of setups you all run your games with.
  13. antec or enermax makes good ones. get at least a 350w to power your system plus that 9600xt
  14. yep, if you haven't updated your bios since you bought the machine then it most likely is that. If that doesn't work then not sure what else can be done.
  15. probably off the HP website. just look for bios updates or something. have to copy it on to a floppy and flash the bios from there. That should give you an up to date bios. If it works after then it was because your bios was out of date. If it doesn't then maybe it's your power.
  16. there's your problem, you got an hp. j/k. might have to get a better power supply. If it can fit in that hp case. get the latest bios for that system first. You won't be able to fiddle with the voltage settings if it's an hp. not sure if a new power supply will fit too. I had an hp before and there was hardly enough room in there to stick my finger in. How'd you manage to stick that 9600xt in there?
  17. try getting motherboard monitor to see how hot your system is running. Then get memtest86 to see if it's ram related. prime95 is another good program to test your processor.
  18. I don't know of any 3d benchmarks that are small. prime95 is small but that only tests your processor I think. I'm not a techie so the only ones I know of are aquamark and futuremark.
  19. Need to go into your bios screen. Depending on what kind of motherboard you have it will display different options. in one of the sections you should see something that will enable you to manually adjust your cpu voltage, your ram voltage and your agp voltage. I have Intel so my default was at 1.525. I now have it at 1.625 and my system is stable. I was crashing all the time when it was set at stock and having a 9800xt in there. But every computer is different so you may need to only adjust it .025 above stock. You need to list your system specs so that we can help you a little m
  20. The 9600xt cards suck a lot of power. You probably need to increase your vcore a bit. Be sure to check your temps when doing this. Don't fry your proc. bump it up in increments of .025 and test. did the trick for me.
  21. get the cheaper 128mb card. 256 is a waste.
  22. what's your benchmarks using this method?
  23. do you participate in any team or do you mainly do coop ladders? i'd like to sign up
