  1. If I add in <ExtraAmmo> at all in a new kit or modified kit, it subtracts that number from the <MagazineCount> number. Like I put 5 for magcount and 2 for extraAmmo, then in game it shows you have 3 mags and 2 extra ammos. Putting 2mags and 3 extras, makes you have -1 mags and 3 extras. Any ideas? Copying kits straight over from the original mod or similar has the same results.
  2. Do the textures have any control over links to weapons? Everything shows correctly in the "choose soldier" menu for all kits, but in game only kit1 will load (no matter which kit you pick). Can a texture break the link and the game defaults to kit 1? Thanks
  3. Edited some kits for a mod to change a few things. Everything else stays the same in the mod folder. Now, when I go to choose the kit, I see them all as it should be, showing the correct weapons and sidearms I adjusted. BUT: when I select one and start the game (multiplayer mode) it ONLY has the first weapon kit from that category (rifleman, demo, sniper, etc). FOr instance, I see rifle kit one is m16/ammo. I choose rifle kit 5 (m16/frags) and start the game. I have rifle kit 1, m16/ammo. I checked the files, they point to the correct names of files in the correct syntax. Obviously it's being read by the game. I tried adjusting the weapon types, like switching a SAW for an M16 in a kit. Sure enough, the selection screen shows that change. But when I start the game, back to step 1. The restriction file is correct and lists all the kits, etc. Anyone have this problem or know a solution? Thanks!
  4. Is it possible to make the crosshairs move with breathing or just with standing shots or such? Like the sniper sights in many other games, where it'll bob around gently while you aim? Does the game engine make them rock steady hard wired or does anyone know if you can give them drift or deviation even while the player is not moving the mouse? Thanks
  5. It's impossible to make the crosshairs move with breathing or just with standing shots or such? Like the sniper sights in many other games, where it'll bob around gently while you aim? Thanks
  6. I'm just starting out, trying to tweak some mods and/or original GR values. Some questions, if you experienced guys could help me out, plz: If you want to make the enemies physically tougher (not better shooting), where you do change this? When I use IGOR to change the combat model physics, and save it, why does it auto revert back to default? Where do you find the variables for the enemies shooting ability? How do I make them shoot better or worse, change the .gun file for their weapons? Do I need to change each mission file that I want these changes to affect? If I alter the equip folder, is that all inclusive, or do I need to make more changes per mission? Thanks a million!
  7. I like some of the realism mods out there and would like to tweak a few things here and there. Mostly physics stuff, no skins or textures. Ammo counts, accuracies, etc. What tools should I get to do this? Thanks!
  8. Which are good realism mods that also work with co-op multiplayer? Lemme know you fav mod and why! [Moderator Edit: Duplicate Threads Merged - Please do not raise multiple threads for the same subject]
  9. I'm trying to find a enemy/general realism mod that works co-op multiplayer... any help? Droopy's ALfa and the gunslinger both seem to be for single player only.
  10. I tried out some realism mods, but they seem to be just for single player. Got Gunslinger's 5.0, but the physics/aiming/enemy only seem to work in single player, otherwise it is the default ones. Am I wrong on this? I saw reference to a 6.0, but it doesn't seem to be on the net. Tried Droopy's Alfa General/Enemy REalism mod 1.05, but is also for single player. (BTW, what's the newest mod version for this one?). I love what some of these mods do, but would like for it to extend to co-op multiplayer. Enemies that are less than olympic ability accurate, use suppression fire, surrender if they run out of bullets, see as far as we do, plus us having more weapon selection. If anyone knows of a realism mod that works like that, plz tell me. Also, is there a way to make either one of the above mods work for co-op as far as the ENEMY AI? THanks [Moderator Edit: Duplicate Threads Merged]
  11. What's the best mods to run as far as realism or teamwork? I'm looking for some mods for coop games with friends, that don't make the gun shoot super fast and accurate or anything like that. I hear gunslingers' mod is good and alfa droopy's enemy/general realism, also. Which is better and/or more realistic? Which has better weapons as far as selection? For multiplayer coop and teamwork? THanks. Also, for gunslingers and droopy's, can someon tell me the LATEST version number of it and where I could find them too? I found a few, but need the make sure I got the newest one. THanks a lot, Crow
  12. Hi, played coop multiplayer. If anyone of the friendlies are killed and respawn (gave them 3 lives apiece), my game crashes to desktop with no error stated. Any ideas on this one? ALSO: anyone know how to set up an -autoserve server that will run desert siege or island thunder, not just GR original? Thanks. 1900+ XP AMD Athlon 1 gig PC 2100 Win Xp Pro Audigy Gamer 1 (with upgrade to audigy 2 drivers, stable) Geforce 3 Ti500 Stable connection @ 3mps cable. Updated drivers Clean install of GR Gold edition NAV disabled, only running standard services (with worthless ones turned off long time ago) and wireless console and video console running. I'm wondering maybe the EAX sound is screwing up? The game worked JUST FINE in GR original and the demo, but I cleared that and got the gold edition and loaded it, now the it does this. Thanks, Crow
  13. Should be a quick question/answer. Noob here. Do demo charges do anything besides being put down on a mission objective in multiplayer? Can you set them off or use them for any other reason? THanks
  14. Running a dedicated server on my 1.7ghz machine, into router to 3mbps cable. Opened ports, set up dedicated correctly. Runs great, friends join, we play. Then suddenly, one by one, everyone drops to the "multiplayer screen" of ghost recon with no reason. The server has not dropped, my game has not crashed, they did not crash, the connection has not been broken to the net. Strangely I always drop first and they can continue playing for like 10 secs until they drop also. Ideas? Also, how do you start a dedicated server on a remote server? We are renting a 2.4 ghz server and the damn thing always wants us to insert the CD to start up the dedicated server? How do you bypass that or fix it? Thanks! Crow
