  1. Dear consumer,

We apologize for the problems found with the the products you have purhcased from us in the past. Our programmers have realized through quantum physics theories come real, that if the programming is tampered with, then said earlier modles will revert to automatic upgrade mode to either Lesbian v1.5 or Totalbitch v 2.1.

Our programmers have found that if troublesome subroutines are removed, then the said products degrade and at times become unstable. (See ElannaBobbit v.1.5 for example).

In response to the several problems though, our hardware techs have devised and produced a product that will overcome bothersome subroutines. A picture of the aforementioned product can be seen here :

    GFremote.JPG

All consumers who have bought GFs, whatever version at whatever dates, will recieve for FREE this handy piece of hardware. (2 AA batteries not included).

We apologize for this inconvience and hope the newest peice of hardware makes your enjoyment of our products more....enjoyable.

    Thank you.

  2. Correct you are! R. Lee Ermy covered the same question on "Mail Call".

Basically, when on the left, it looks normal, yet on the right it looks reversed. Best way to think of it is like this...the solider wearing the flag is a flagpole and the flag is being blown by the wind. Hence why on the right shoulder it looks reversed. (also...take two flag patches and match them up back to back..ie stars to stars, etc..and you get a better pciture)

    :D

  3. evil...yes...and twisted too...consider this :

one female contestant (I forgot her name) was talking/debating/arguing with Omerosa and the other woman said the very old phrase "Well, that's the pot calling the kettle black" and Omerosa bitched that the said phrase was racist...

Say what? Ok, guess those student loans and grants she got went to waste since she cant even understand a simple, well used, non-racist phrase such as that. I saw that and though "oh geeze, what next? She going to complain about black tie affairs now?"

Ok, that and a convience store clerk could do a better job at all of the tasks she had (that she screwed up).

Yes...she should've been eliminated prior to picking the initial people.

  4. Ya know, I find it funny that the one service that usually gets hand me downs (has a much smaller budget and is smaller and gets stuff well after the Army)....

Well....the US Army did get the accursed Gamma Goat ( a 6 wheeled veh. Watch "Stripes" and when Bill Murry drives into the Russian camp with the EM-50 behind him, the vehicle he's driving is a Gamma Goat) after the USMC saw it...and laughed their rears off and said they didnt want it.

Ahh...nothing like going 45mph down an autobahn in Germany, 1/2 way between Nuremburg and Munish and the driver forgetting to take it out of 6x6 drive....

... :o and smelling smoke while in the cargo trailer with 3 other people and digging desperatly through A bags and advanced party gear to find the pull tab for the engine extinguisher...<_<

    ahh...the good old days..

  5. I remember back in 89 when I was living in Michigan, there was an Ari National Guard base about 30mi away. Usually 2-3x a week, there would be flyovers of my house in the woods. Mostly F-16s yet low enough to where you could tell if the pilot had his visor up or down.

Best fun was going to the observation area and watching the newer units up for training come up. Besides the air traffic, there is also a CRT course that the NG and the various SWAT teams use for training. Now that's fun...paintballing with some State police SWAT and "not going by the book" (like running AT the SWAT with a hotloaded paint grenade in both hands and grinning from ear to ear as you hear someone mutter "Oh great......")

  6. I'm sort of in both worlds really...

on the one hand, I'll buy a CD. If the RIAA puts some code in it so it wont play on my PC. no worries since the hackers of the world will probably (if they havent done so already) made a way around that. Remember Sony's great anti=piracy scheme and how it took 2 days for someone to go "Hey, if you take a Sharpie marker and go around the outside of the disk, you can copy it" ?

Just watch shows like Screen Savers on Tech TV and watch when they talk about making backup copies of your disks for safety reasons (like you dont want your import CD to get all scratched in the event you decide to eBay it in 5yrs or so). *coughcoughsecuritybypassproggiescoughcough*

but..if I want say, two songs, and the band is either obscure enough where Best Buy, FYE or Sam Goode doesnt have it or has heard of it (like say...Bolt Thrower) then I'll hit places like Limewire. I figure as long as i dont give money to anyone for DL ing and I dont try to sell it, I'm therefore not violating any copyright laws.

Also...I figure that if the RIAA morality squad wants to sue em, then they can...AFTER they sue every person who in the 1980s made cassette copies of their LPs AND sues the companies that make the tech available like Sony, Panasonic, etc....then they can sue me.

  7. well if you want cute....

    Suki4.jpg

Devon Aoki (aka Suki from 2F2F). IRL her father owns Benihana's. Ok, cute, rich and has a dad that owns a restraunt...

ok and Chiaki Kuriyama who played Go Go Yubari in Kill Bill vol 1 is cute too (and legal btw)

  8. Well dont fret citizens, those crazy Danish tech geeks at Empire North (yes, it's a Danish company) have also the JuJu Citizen Eye...so basically, if anyone shoots and tags you with thw above sniper rifle (that they developed) just take a pciture of the person and Homeland Security will be notified and investigate immeditly.

This kind of reminds me of an expansion book for Shadowrun that had tech, gear and weapons for yor character where around pg. 12 they had a small, armed 2 man chopper (think ultralight) and the said fictional company also sold the a few pages later the portable SAM for taking said chopper down.

Funny though, that rifle. Makes one wonder how many conspiracy nuts will be nuttier now. ;)

Conspiracy theorists : Making life more entertaining since 1945

  9. I think R Lee Ermy reviewed something better on "Mail Call" where with the experimental Urban Warrior set up, there's going to be an assult rifle with a small camera and the solider will have a HUD attached to his helmet, thereby allowing him to see and shoot around corners w/out exposing his body (ok ok...maybe his hands will be exposed :P ). That looked better than the Lego pistol above (or is it made by Tycho?)

  10. Anyone know of any other ones like that one? Doesnt have to be in Iraq.

Mind you...I'm not talking about ones with ameture college girls getting drunk etc...that's what Limewire is for. ;)

No no..talking a cam set up in some public place like that one. All the ones I found on a search only had ones that get refreshed every 15+ minutes.

  11. 28.8 isnt *that* nasty....

...I had worse before I upgraded. Seems my dial-up provider (because the company that supplies DLS cant for some odd ###### reason lay cable down 4 more blocks) likes to jump from 48.8 to 28.8...at midnight or so no less!

    But worse? Ehh..try 48.8 with a 900mhrz processor.

...yea...that was nasty. Took about 3 minutes for my Hotmail inbox screen to load up

  12. Tell them you can get good quality NATO belts but it'll cost more than $80...and say you'll need a recently decomissioned Russian boomer.

Hrm...that would be a party boat. Fill a couple of missle tubes with beer... Hello Cancun!

  13. I decided I really don't want to go over to Iraq and risk life and limb. I decided there were some things I wanted to do a bit more:

    Have a career

Get married and start a family

Buy a Land Rover Defender and a Mini Cooper some day..

travel the world and see more of Europe

I will be as tactful and polite and non-flaming as possible especially comming from someone who is in a family where every generation has had at least three family members in the military when possible...

there are men and women in Arlington National Cemetary and cemetaries around the globe that were American soliders that have died for less materialistic things and yet, have died for more than some cheap car, or a "career" that can be gained by just going to college or opening the classifieds...

For anyone wanting to join the military of ANY nation think for one second....why do you think they make you at least qualify with a firearm? For show?

that's all I will post on this subject lest I get all fired up and banned.

  14. when you first begin to watch a recruiting commercial, you think

"Are they advertising MODs now on TV?"

...you go to your local recruiter to ask them to "put pressure" on RS for an earlier release date for GR2

...you atart refering to military movies as actual mod titles (example...you see "GI Jane" and you think "Island Thunder")

...when you are heading out for the night, for fun on the town, you say to your buds "Ok, so what's the mission briefing and objectives?"

...you go out and buy a ghillie suit and an airsoft Barret..so you can shoot flies in the house instead of using a swatter...

...and then your roommate tells you he's/she's about to drop a MOAB on your AO. (thus prooving they ARE looking over your shoulder as you play! Unless they are in the military already irl  )

..in winter, while your fingers are purple and numb and someone askes "Got frostbite?" you reply that you do...version 2.9 no less! With extra maps, kits and skins! And you're waiting for version 5.8 which is suspose to be double the fun!

..you've actually pondered getting the GR logo tattooed on the back of your eyelids so that even when your eyes are closed, you wont forget about the game.

  15. first..yes this is a bump considering what's been on the news lately,,but also wanted to drop some comments on the topic.

First...copied and pasted the memo to my aunt who is a VFW Post commander. She said it now is posted proudly on their bulliten board at the post. Have gotten alot of "That's right...way to go" type comments on it. Good for the Marines.

Copied and pasted most of it and sent it to my Congressman, Carl Levin (oooer...Head of the Arms Committee..wtg me!) and got back a premade email. Ok figured on that...

..so I've decided to take it to the next level (which I hope others do as well). Sent an email to Fox and Friends concerning Sen. Kennedy's latest comment on how Iraq is Bush's Vietnam (also pointed out the 3rd Inf. and the Marines destroyed the Rep. Guard in Iraq faster than it took Sen. Kennedy to phone the police about his accident at Chappeuiddick [sp..sorry]) as well as a comment as to why the good we have done over there hasnt been addressed by the media like the vacinations, etc.

...also sent one like it to MSNBC. So you can say, I've been using current news topics to bring some of the facts of this topic (thr memo) to light to the media, in hopes that they will ask "What is he talking about ? Let me research this more..." and possibly do even a 30 sec, spot on it.

I'm doing my part to at least let others know the military isnt just blood, guts and killing other people and yes, this memo is a good starting point (of course adding in the Berlin Airlift as well as other examples helps.).

Thanks to Phantm for posting the memo.

  16. @Para, id like to see some examples of music or artists that you find deep meaningful and influential.

It's all a matter of personal taste and opinion. What is meaningful to one may not be to another, etc.

I have to agree. Granted, whatever circumstances anyone might believe about concerning his death, Kurt was a decent musician and it was sad how his life was extinguished. I also think that yes, everyone has their own opinions about music. Someone might be fanatical about Kurt, while someone else might be fanatical about say..Motzart (who was srewed over alot and died a sad way too). It just depends on the person's tastes. Overall though, everyone can at least agree, that when anyone, who has even the slightest hint of a possibility of influencing at least one person in the world, dies "before their time" it indeed is a sad time for those who knew of them and more so the people that didnt get a chance to know them and their works when they were alive.

    ok..there's my 2 pfenning's worth

  17. Well..I do know you can have fun with claymores in the right MODs *coughcoughcoughHarntrox20Missionscoughcoughcough*

There's this one mission...on Elite you have something like 120 AIs after you...and they know where you are at..in a nice small hotel. Anyhoo...drop a claymore at the top of the stairs and then set it off when there's like 15 in the stairwell. I got a great screencap of what happened after 2 people dropped a total of 4 claymores down. Knee deep in AI goop..grenades cant clear the dead bodies...AI bullets hitting the dead bodies and not you therefore creating morbid cover...ahh...what a smelly, yet satisfying day that was.

But yes...claymores are under rated as are some other items...then again, some items are looked upon as the be all to end all kit items (though I rarely use them because I've already got my faves  )
