yes i own island thunder, but i could neer get that to install. (thats a whole nother ball game that i dont feel like getting into).

oddly, i tried to run hitman2 (which has always run perfectly) and i got the same error message. then i downloaded so game demos online and the same error message appear again.

so its not just GR, but something messed up on my comp.

i just updated to directx 8.1 and still no luck.

the ME was reinstallated with the restore feature. no reformatting.

i unfortunately had to reinstall windows me about a week ago. now ghost recon wont run anymore! i reinstalled GR, but i keep getting this error message:

"the D3D6.DLL file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:UnlockCB."

what the hell does that mean?!

im on windows me, GR version 1.0.0.2

no i did not get it with a video card and i did not alter the .exe at all

no i didnt put it in the defaul location, i made another folder under program files. i am running ME.

i have a dell dimension 8100. 1.2 ghz, 256 megs ram, ATI all-in-wonder video card

im runnings GR version 1.0.0.2 and i just bought IT today. i tried to install it and it says "ghost recon must be installed before installing island thunder, exiting setup now".

i then tried to update with the patches version 1.3 and 1.4 and got the same error message.

whats wrong here?
