The only thing I have seen come close to GR is VBS1 and it beats it hands down. But to compare VBS1 to GR is like comparing apples to oranges. GR was made, for lack of a better term, for the masses. VBS1 is first and foremost a training tool. Having done mission scripting now in both GR and VBS1 I can honestly say I find the learning curve in IGOR not as steep but the AI in VBS1 react much better than that of Ghost Recon for one thing. The scripting power that VBS1 has though I think far outweighs GR and I would hope that whatever "mainstream game" that comes along to replace GR has a similiar tool with it. If it does that game will enjoy the same amount of replayability that GR did. GR is and has been for a long time I think the benchmark many have used and will continue to use when they compare similiar titles looking for something new and fresh. For mainstream play GR is probably still king out there, though I wouldn't really know at this point and time. Based however on other people's comments on some of the other games out today I would say that hasn't changed.

Wouldn't want to call on anyone else when I need back up myself. Who am I to second guess some people's "preference" when it comes to what they do (both literally and figuratively) with their free time.

Just to echo Whisper's remarks welcome to the community Whiteknight. You will not find a more mature group of people IMHO.

@Rocky
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but jumping the gun seems to be the name of the game at the moment.Wouldn't you agree however that people are jumping the gun with a bit of good reason to? One only has to look at UBI's past track record to find justification for alot of what has been said here.

Sucked into that quaqmire? I don't think so. From what I've read what ever resolutions are passed there automatically becomes laws in your country. I'm starting to get things just about where I want them now. LOL

today's issue...
Prospecting company Nukes4U has uncovered a large uranium deposit in The House of Ronin's south-west.this should dovetail well with ghostlandia's plans to repeal UN resolutions banning weapons of mass destruction.

Got the same issue. Bring on the Uranium!!!

@Havok
So when do you accept your cabinet position with Mr. Dithers? I always knew you were a liberal lapdog.
@NC
Watch that hardline stance man. I took it with racial quota's and now seem to be labeled as one with a raciest TV show.

Probably the stinking UN.Stout Hearts

fellow ghostlandian, the house of ronin would be honored to assist your small, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service ... you are, after all, ranked 5th in the region and 99,541st in the world for Highest Police Ratios.

I think UBI really needs to take some lessons from BIS. Yes I know that BIS is a developer and not a publisher so lets head that one off at the pass. That so-called press release contains either nothing new and nothing of any real substanance. Nightcrawler is not the only BIS/BIA convert around here. Too bad no-one from UBI will ever see this thread.

I got two that I can add that will just pop a vien....
I can answer this one for you WhiteKnight.
One has to wonder, what happens to all the animals that they let loose from slaughter houses?In Northwestern Ontario a few years back a few PETA members snuck onto a Mink farm. Once there they turned loose an estimated 1500 minks if memory serves me correctly. Of those 1500 only 2 were recovered and one of those had to be put down because of injuries sustained by being hit by a car. Of the remaining 1498 minks they all died. Causes of death ranged from being eaten by predators, succumbing to the elements, (they didn't know how to properly deal with not being in a heated building during the winter) starving to death or like the one described above hit by cars. But hey they didn't die in captivity right?

In another event in Kansas City Mo I had the pleasure of arresting two PETA idiots.

These two ######'s snuck (they seem to do this well) into the Worlds Of Fun Amusement park and poured 30 gallons of bleech into the dolphin tank because they said they knew that the dolphins would rather be dead than live in captivity. They partially got their wish as one dolphin died. The other spent a year recovering from the effects. Keep in mind that these two dolphins had been together from a very young age. Every winter they were loaded up into their personal plane, yes they had their own plane, and were flown down for a winter vacation in sunny Florida at Sea World. These two morons were charged and convicted of a class 2 misdemeanor for cruelty to animals. Which was the strongest penalty, plus fines of course, that they could be given and served 11 months in the county jail. I do know they had to leave town as I found out later when they were released it was leaked when and where they were released from and from my understanding they had a "welcome party" waiting for them.

Here...Here Whiteknight. I too hope that UBI proves people like me wrong. The question is will UBI make me wipe egg off my face or do I, like many others, get to say "I told you so" again? I got my towel ready UBI.
What's it going to take? A return to the original format. Things such as 9+ member squad for co-op multiplayer. Ability to host private games of off personal machines. Engine and software that doesn't require everyone to go out an do full system upgrade just to be able to play. Just read through the posts here and every Ghost Recon fan site. I'm willing to clean the egg off are you willing to throw it UBI?

I'm curious. Back when I was younger (and dumber) I had the opportunity to work with in a very,very limited way with a few SEALs. I always got the impression that most were professional, along the lines of what one would expect in that profession, but on the other hand there was one that was an arrogant ######. No other way to put that either. Admittedly one out of the few I had any sort of dealings with is nothing to base an opinion on. My question though is, is that type of attitude limited, do you think, to just SEALs or is it something that plague's all spec ops groups in one form or another?
