  1. There are always good people after these pices of ######:

    http://www.jenmartinez.com/mt/archives/001703.php

    I spent the afternoon with my friend Garry Robb. I told him what happened and he was disgusted. If you don't know who Garry is, look him up. Think SOG 1-0 in CCN when you do. There were 6-8 SOG guys at the GB club with Garry and I that would love to have a talk with our buddy Thor. And these guys have plenty of time to 'discuss' things.

    That's one discussion I would pay good money to sit in on.

  2. What's haliorious is that there will undoubtedly be another that wants to try to pass themselves off. It will happen again unfortunatly. Too bad it isn't a felony to make such claims.

    As I have readily made known in the past, and do so now again, anytime.... ANYTIME AT ALL that I can somehow help further such an investigation please don't hesitate to ask. There is nothing I love more in this world, and I do mean nothing, to do than to bust or help bust posers in some way. I just wish I could have played more of a role on this one.

    As most people know nothing is more cowardly than someone who tries to ride on the shirt tales of heros. And Hero's is exactly what those people are who wear "the uniform" no matter what country or branch. Especially those in the Spec Op community. No one, though the likes of Hatchetforce may very well disagree with me on this one, has a harder job sometimes than them. All reguadless of what branch they serve for have an important role to play but many times it's those in Spec Op's services that are living out there on the ragged edge.

    I for one am glad to see that this situation was handled quickly and decisively. Kudo's to all involved and thank you.

  4. yeah in delta you have to go 40 miles with a 45 lbs rucksack in less then 12-24 (the number is classified) hours

    How would you know? BS, I will tell you this once and one time only. Watch what you say in this forum. As a kid, you know nothing of which members of the military talk. Want to learn something, then read what they say here, but keep your trap shut.

    i have read two books on delta one by a founding member Eric L. Hanly CSM (ret.) and one by Col. Charlie A Beckwith(ret.) former comander of delta

    Being book smart is all good and fine but heed what WhiteKnight told you. Others haven't and probably wish they had now.

    @Thor

    Normally, it's also been my experience, that when you mix branches of service members, you tend to get a bit of "boast and fluster" between the ranks.

    It usually doesn't take long for that to crop up around here somewhere..... Does it WK? :devil:

  5. @Kurtz

    Armed Assualt is basically OFP 1.5. I was more or less like you when it came to OFP. Until I got VBS. Make no mistake about it. OFP's successor will be built on things learned and gained through VBS1. What OFP lacked, so I am told, VBS1 more than made up for. But if it's not for you then it's not for you. Which is unfortunate if GRAW turns out the way I believe it will.

  6. @Kurtz

    I would say do what some of us are doing. Wait to see what the successor to OFP brings. I don't necessarily mean [OFP: DR]. Keep in mind that Codemasters (A company like UBI) owns the rights to the OFP name. Rather wait and see what BIS puts out. GRAW might be your last hope for the GR name but it's not for a squad based FPS.

    More appropriatly..... OWNED!!!!!

    What would be interesting is if anyone has ever questioned him on a comment he made many, many years ago..... "640K is all the ram anyone will ever need" :huh::blink:

  8. @WK

    My comments wasn't directed at you. More to the point they were directed at the "climate" of today's society.

    @Zebb

    There are a great many things about me that would surprise you. But I try to keep most of it under wraps as I wouldn't want to start using big words that your poor marine mind couldn't understand. :devil:

  9. Do you think he would continue to allow Wahhabist mullahs to teach violent upheaval to "the faithful" in Mosques established throughout the city as they are still doing now?

    There's no point trying to deny this goes on just because some people dont want to appear "racist" or non pc, nearly every forum i frequent (the military one is the exception) ends up with a thread on this type of topic that becomes a slanging match between people who want to discuss the serious issues raised, and those that just want to bury their heads and pretend it isnt going on but in the meantime slag off anyone who believes it is.

    Then again they say that ignorance is bliss.........

    @Zebb

    [sarcasim]Oh but don't you know Zebb we are all a part of a kinder gentler society.[/sarcasim] Just remember we all have freedom of speech so long as we don't condemn the actions of certain groups of people.

  10. even though RSE may care it looks to me at least as they don't care enough.

    Curious how you came up with that? Because they aren't able to express their opinions here?

    It is my opinion based on what did and didn't happen with GR2 for one.

  11. Why didn't the devs say hey, these changes you want us to do are overboard and do not fit with the franchise?

    Because they have a job they want to keep. There is only so much you can do when the publisher owns the company you work for, they pays the bills, and your salary.

    Do I like all the changes? No. But things change. *shrug*

    And in this case not for the best. The plain and simple truth here, and RvS was the writing on the wall (looking back with perfect hindsight) is that even though RSE may care it looks to me at least as they don't care enough. UBI maybe pulling all the strings but it's up to the ones actually making it to dance or not to dance. I'm glad NYR that you like GR2 as much as you seem to. I'm happy for you in fact. I'm not and won't be unless the sky falls tomorrow and UBI has a change of heart. Again I am one lonely person. My money they won't miss. But someone else is glad to get. And getting they are.

  12. He would simply remind us that:

    "An appeaser is someone who feeds a crocodile in the hopes it eats him last." - Sir Winston Chruchill

    Then he would order the British Military to start flipping rocks until they found them all. Or so I'm willing to wager.

  13. Here, HERE!!! It's this attitude that had driven me away from RSE and more specifically UBI. Not that they care. But that's fine with me.

    Stout Hearts

    |RE|Warhawk

    EDIT: The main reason I have stop saying something personally is because UBI doesn't really listen nor do they care. Additionally either RSE doesn't want to rock the boat or they have been neutered by UBI and therefore can't or won't change what needs changing. Conclusion? Why bother.

  14. I don't want to have to clean this thread again.

    Don't make NYR angry.... You wouldn't like him when he is angry...... :devil:

    (EDIT: Hey NYR you think your boys from NY will come to play hockey this year? :rofl: )
