    Viva la France

Your question and answer should read like the following, IMO Q. What is the French Army good at? A. Surrendering Stout Hearts Warhawk
  2. @moakes2783 That's three day of detention for you now go to the principle's office. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  3. @moakes2783 Thank you I will take that as a compliment. By the way make sure you take detailed notes. You never know when there might be a pop quiz. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  4. @THEDUDE Saddam wasn't out of the news for 10 years or anything like it. The previous administration, plus the UN, didn't put holding Saddam to his word as a priority. But when it comes to Clinton holding someone to their word that would be a bit hypocritical of him in my opinion. And fighting North Korea would be less expensive in what way? The decision to either fight or not fight can not be based on you monetary ability to fight it. If a war must be fought, then that is not the time to start watching the "bottom line". @KillerKane I not only ask the next que
  5. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about the men and women ( I won't ever call them kids, not for the job they do) who are out there protecting not only me but my kids my friends and their families and those that I don't even really know. Looking at the faces of those men and women my hearts filled with pride. Pride in not only that they are out there, but pride in the cause they are willing to stand for. In this day an age so many people are willing to believe in this or that as long as it doesn't mean they have to sacrifice something for it. Here are men and women who
  6. While the outcome will be the same I see this going two ways. One France, Russia, or China will use it's veto power and stop the second resolution or it will not get enough votes. In this case the UN will become a shell of it's former self in it's ability to deal with worldwide crisis such as the one in Iraq. Second is that the resolution will pass even if it mean that Russia, France, Germany and China abstain. In which case the UN will still be seen by some as the proper venue to air differences and a place to look for peaceful solutions. Either way Saddam is gone. What comes out of t
  7. Somethings I will not forget I will not forget the men who died protecting my freedoms I will not forget such places as Iwo Jima, Guadualcanal, Bastogne, Leyte Gulf or Flanders Field. I will not forget the names like Audy Murphy, McCarther or Patton and Montgomery. Nor will I forget the scarfices made by George Washington or Patrick Henry. I will always remember the dedication shown by such people as my own father and his many friends in the South Pacific in 1945. Nor will I forget such animals such as Usama Bin Laden, Mohammed Atta, Kahlid Shaikh Mohammed and Adolph Hitler.
  8. Uh oh here he comes again..... Yes that's right I'm about to weigh in on something with my own personal opinions. @moakes2783 First off I don't take anything anyone says here as a joke too seriously. As an Americian who now lives in Canada I get to have with both sides of this issue. On the one hand I can make fun of some of my new "northern" friends in such things as the way they talk. (C'mon guys...it's Z not ZED! ) On the other hand I can also poke fun at my fellow countrymen/women when they start making fun about "the great white north". As far as for those who do not li
  9. @budgie And this is going to be the downfall of the UN Stout Hearts Warhawk
  10. Interesting how the gun control lobby leaves statistics like this out isn't it. They only want to use statistics when it's in their favour. Something else to keep in mind too. Canada recently enacted tougher gun control laws. Recently the Toronto Police Chief told reporters that this new gun control law has yet to solve a gun related crime. Oddly enough he came back out later to say he was "misquoted" on that. Which isn't the first time who has spoken out against gun control has been muzzled. For those of you thinking it doesn't happen in the states you would be incorrect. I know sever
  11. @Budgie I would like to point out once again that many of the things that O'Reilly pointed out in his piece I have heard from other sources. By that I mean, that I have either read or heard each of his seperates points from other sources such as CNN, Time and Newsweek just to name a few. As I have said before it is a rare occasion that I will post something here that I have not already confirmed from at least two seperate sources. While I may only quote one here that does not always mean that I don't have more than one source. To that end I would have to say that while you may want to q
  12. @Wep Magnum When is the UN going to put it's teeth back in it's mouth? When is North Korea going to talk only to the UN and not the US? When is a peace agreement going to mean something again? (RE: UN Resolution 687) When are countries like France, Russia and Germany going to admit to their tight semi- secret ties to Saddam? (Semi - secret because they are still denying them even when the facts of their respective contracts are brought to light.) When are people going to stop comparing apples and oranges? Why do people seem to be in such a rush to confront NK when they haven
  13. I believe you two are correct, tyovan4 & Copenhagen, thank you for the correction. However the meat of my point remains. This is added to the fact that Canadian servicemen/women seemed to, from what I read in the papers here, do exceptionally well with outdated equipment in most cases. As with all who have or are currently serving they have my utmost respect for reasons that I have previously stated. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  14. Just goes to show you that even those Army types can have a Sailors quick tongue. And I bet the expression on her face was priceless. For everything else there's Mastercard. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  15. Lets not forget the Canadian snipers that saved the lives of many US service men in Afghanistan during Operation Harpoon. To them I say thanks and.... Stout Hearts Warhawk
  16. @budgie While I think you may have an idea that I am not the kind to perscribe to propaganda whether it's from the left or right you may not choose to believe me in this. Bill O'Reilly may not be a big name in the news buisness but what he is reporting here has surfaced in other news medians before in one form or another. All he is doing is pulling all together. I don't agree with the way Shadow2k1 went about making his point, however he does have a legitamate point. I think you know that I for one have never agreed with being arrogant when I found something that proved that I had the
  17. The last I had heard, on CNN, was that ( I'm presuming as I didn't catch the whole report ) the US was contenplating bording the ship. I don't know just what all the legal ramifications are of such an act and if it matters whether or not a ship is properly flagged. My knowledge in maritime law is very rusty. I say this because I was told, which means I have been unable to confirm this, that the ship in question was sailing without any flag showing. I don't remember if that makes things easier or more difficult or if it matters at all. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  18. Bravo Ruin Bravo! Stout Hearts Warhawk
  19. Well this just goes to show you that you flip over enough rocks and you will find a snake. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. Sorry to all the snakes of the world. I shouldn't have insulted you that way. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  20. I am not going to be adding anything really new here but I just wanted to add my comments to the discussion. As has been pointed out before friendly fire has been around for a long time. I am sure that if you looked at the history of warfare real close you would see that even as far back as the battles fought in Britian, during the age of the knights, you would probably find it even there. Probably more so then than now. Friendly fire isn't something that the US armed forces have cornered the market on. British troops fired on Canadian positions in Italy for example. I am not sayin
  21. There is something to be said for convictions. If you can't stand behind what you believe then you need to reasses you belief system. However, I am glad to see that some have come to their senses. If only partially. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  22. Ten minutes just isn't long enough. There are so many things that can be done to a person to inflict pain that ten minutes is just simply not enough time. Ask that same question but give me a few days and you would get something like the following. Starting with the fingers you could use bamboo shoots. The area under the fingernails is very tender if you didn't already know that. Of course this is assuming that you haven't removed the fingernails first. In which case you could drive the shoots down through the top of his fingertips. But as long as you do this one finger at a time and
  23. @budgie Keep in mind that the more decisive the allies act in the first few days of any war can be critical to how long any conflict will last. When you have an army such as Iraq's, moral is more the target than the people themselves. I don't think anyone here will dispute the fact that human life is precious no matter who it is. However, the simple fact of the matter is that by it's very nature war will claim lives. Anything that the US and it's allies can do to shorten the duration of a war the better. Even if it means using weapons such as these. I think even you will agree this be
  24. I saw this on a website that I got almost as much as this one. For those of you who think that the US should respond with nukes if Iraq uses Chem/Bio weapons, here is what I was talking about when I said that the US military has weapons better than nukes to respond with. Looks like the Daisy Cutter is facing retirement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- U.S. To Unveil Massive New Bomb ABCNEWS.com February 26, 2003 When and if the United States does go to war, military sources say the United States is prepari
  25. This is unbelieveable. School kids no less. When an adult want's to voice their opinion about any potential conflict in Iraq as immoral then they need to direct it away from children. I, like so many others on the right, say that the Freedom of Speech is what gives these people the right to voice their opinion. They even have the right to voice it in a classroom, however just because you have the right to do something like that doesn't mean you should. Common decency towards children demands that you refrain from doing so. This just goes to show everyone how uncaring the left can really
