@CC_Winters This may politically be true however it has been 12 years in the making. The fact that this President took the stand to do it is coinicidental. If you will remember the UN Resolution that ended the Gulf War in 1991 set forth a strict set of guidelines that were never fully met. Thereby violated the terms of the said cease fire. While your point is very true, do you think that the US should just wait around and see if it happens? If the "whole world" was afraid of "Bush's threat" then they would have agreed with the invasion of Iraq. 1441 I believe was just ano

(In my best british accent) RIGHT THAT DOES IT! We will see, I may be eating crow yet again this year but hey at least the Leafs are in the playoffs this year. Sorry NYR_32 I couldn't resist... Stout Hearts Warhawk

@Fusaki I'm not quite sure what you are up so if I am misinterpreting what you are saying then forgive me. That said. If you were in fact a part of something so secret you wouldn't even divulge that you are a part of it. You will be hard pressed to find anyone who is, for example, a member of the SEALs. At least they are not going to come out and say "yes I am a member of the US Navy SEALs." Therefore that is the only proof that one would need that you are not what you say you are. As such it is offensive to me and would be, from what I have been told, to those that are members of s

It is indeed strange how somethings get banned in an effort to keep things from spiraling out of control. That said while I don't like seeing our troops having a useful tool taken away from them if it means not being responsible for the first use of a WMD then so be it. Besides I am sure that there are other things at their disposal that we have no concept of that can make up for having the ability of using Teargas. I may be wrong but that is why soliders are taught to adapt (no this is not some closely held secret by the Marines ) to different situations. Stout Hearts Warhawk

@CC_Winters I won't pretend to speak for WhiteKnight77 but I will say for myself that I could give you a whole discourse in why Clinton was "an ###### of a president". But this is not the thread for it and it has very little to do with the fact that "he didn't kill thousands of Iraqis", which this statement if taken in one way could be taken to mean that you are implying that waging war against Saddam and his regime was somehow being (in my best liberal impersonation) "a big meanie to the Iraqi people". If I am misinterpreting that then I apologize. I think that after 12 ye

Thanks for the many suggestions. I have begun to compile the song list for my military cd. I am still debating on the title track but I know I will anchor it with Amazing Grace by The Royal Scots Dragoon. Keep the suggestions coming. I have picked up some additional music from Platoon today and am continuing with searches in the areas that have been suggested. Stout Hearts Warhawk

@CC_Winters First off let me agree with you on one point about Bill Clinton. No he wouldn't have invaded Iraq and I myself would have found him very hypocritical had he. But you really don't want to get me going on Clinton. I am one of those war supporters that you talk about and let me say this. I do support our troops in Iraq and I do support the President and Tony Blair. Not only because right now it is the right thing to do but because they are right. I have had several "discussions" on this forum reguarding this point and I would invite you to read over my past posts on this is

warhawk replied to cajun47's topic in GR2 PC - [Cancelled]
I don't know if this has been suggested yet but how about blood trails? That way if you hit a tango you have something to track them by and vice versa. Would be really great for multiplayer. Stout Hearts Warhawk -
@Zantar45 Interservice rivalry between the US Navy and thier red headed step children the Marines? Why this ole' sailor has never heard of such a thing. Stout Hearts Warhawk

I can never get tired of saying it. Godspeed and come home safe. Not only we will remember those that come home but we will also never forget those that fall. It is one thing to be able to say I stand for this or that. It is something else of a higher caliber to stand in harms way for those beliefs. It is when you read things such as that letter you begin to understand that not all of the young men and women of today's society have their heads screwed on backwards. Take the fight to them my brother, and show those cowards what real courage is. Stout Hearts Warhawk

I found the Patton music by doing an MP3 search on bearshare for "Patton" @magnumkp You go right ahead and be British. I did a search for the Scots Dragoon Guards and came across my most favorite song of all, Amazing Grace. I listened to it and all I could think of were the fallen soilders and airman in Iraq. Thank you sir. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Thanks for the hints I have been downloading like crazy. This is sure to give me a cd to drive the wife nuts with. Especially since she doesn't care for Stevie Ray. I think I will make that the first cut. Anyway keep em coming I have come up with a few more myself. Like some tracks from Behind Enemy Lines, Patton and Platoon. Stout Hearts Warhawk

You know I am not someone that enjoys seeing animals mistreated but when it comes to PETA I could tell you a story that would blow your mind. But that is for another thread. From what I could see if those animals didn't want to do the job they were trained to do all they had to do at that point is swim away. Hmmm wonder why they didn't? After all PETA will be the first to tell you that dolphins and porpoises are intelligent creatures. Why would they do something they didn't want to do in the first place I wonder? PETA makes me sick! They are a bunch of self rightious morons. Stout

@CtheHammer That is just the kind of stuff I am talking about. I have been looking for stuff from When we were soilders but haven't found anything yet. I didn't even think of Saving Private Ryan, my favourite WWII movie now, but thanks for pointing those out. Stout Hearts Warhawk

I'm trying to put together some songs from Military movies. What I am looking for is stuff from movies like, The Rock, BHD, Crimson Tide, Pearl Harbour and Band Of Brothers for example. Can anyone suggest any others? Stout Hearts Warhawk

URBAN COMBAT AND THE BATTLE OF BAGHDAD

You know what your problem was 300mag you didn't ask the UN for several resolutions over a period of 12 years. Sorry couldn't resist. @WeeBoz In all seriousness the dislike for the US has always been there in many of the countries you sited. It's only the current events that are bringing this feelings to the surface and to the media itself. Like every other time when things settle down things will quite down too. Stout Hearts Warhawk -

That's ok, if this is what this site is all about fine. I see it's ok for the moderators to do one thing and preach another. I still say it's inexcusable for a moderator to show the kind of disrespect to another poster like Pryo showed. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Am glad to see it. I just hope the school doesn't cave in on their stance. I agree that teachers should not weigh in on one side or the other. The quote "just the facts" comes to mind. Stout Hearts Warhawk

I think even those in the Foregin Leigion would find it funny. After all if one can not laugh at one self then one is in trouble. Also, again speaking from experience, interservice rivilary would keep such things going. After all don't you know in the UK non is tougher than the SAS. Of course we all know that the US Navy Seals rule the roost. The Leigion well we can put them on the list somewhere, if we have to. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Warhawk, your comments were way out of line. It is one thing to disagree with someone or to debate their ideas. It is quite another to personally attack a respected member of the community, who is also a consultant, a moderator, and a personal friend of mine. Moderator edit.
