  1. I was glad to hear about this. I only wish, as I am sure President Bush does, that he would have had more time to visit all of the wounded soilders. Stout Hearts Warhawk

  3. @Weeboz Tell me will the brits be allowed to take the training wheels of of these tricycles? Look below and you will see what they will be compared with. Big Boys Now before this gets completely out of hand let me say this. In the grand scheme of things I know that we, we being the US/Canada/Britian/Austrailia and the rest of the FREE world, are all friends. That being said don't going throwing around how great one country is over the other. Some countries just carry bigger sticks than others that's all. I would say the same not only to you but anyone else. For the most par
  4. To L/Cpl Ian Malone and the many others who made the ultimate scrafice so that others may know what freedom is thank you. Your courage, dedication and spirit shall never be forgotten by this man. May you find peace and comfort in the knowledge that you have done a very great service to a supressed people. 5. Something else to consider is what the coalition will find when they start going through the tunnels that are reportedly underneath Baghdad. Who knows what we are going to find there. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  6. I have to somewhat agree with you TRC. But it's also kind of hard not to jump the gun to I think you might admit. Those of us wanting to prove our point are poised to jump out and say "see see seee". It's a double edge sword we are standing on. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  7. @stalker The last time I checked the E.U. had how many Aircraft carriers of the caliber of oh say the U.S.S John F. Kennedy? I wouldn't worry. I saw some figures sometime back on Defense spending and I am sure 300mag can produce the numbers, but anyway. On a ranking scale with 1 being the one spending the most the US came in first and the country in second place, unfortunately that country escapes me right now, were so far apart as to make seem one was comparing France's own military prowess with that of the rest of the world. 9. You know if France and Russia find themselves not getting their calls answered by the new Baghdad government I hope the exchange goes a little something like this..... Hello Mr. President I was wondering if you could help us. Baghdad seems to be avoiding our phone calls. They owe us some money and we would really like to talk to them about this.. President Bush: Sure I will see what I can do. (after hanging up the phone) now where did I put their number. Stout Hearts Warhawk

  11. I also heard a report the other day, I can't remember the source so therefore I can not speak to it's accuracy, about Saddam's government owing Russia something like 80million bucks. Can someone expand on this and maybe either confirm or deny it? I am still looking for verification but if it were true I wonder if the new Iraqi government will honour that debt?. 12. I have always found that the "interservice rivalry" is good for comrade-ry. After all I have always gotten a great amount of joy poking fun at the USN's red headed step children. During my time in I found that this "rivalry" even transcended the oceans. In fact I can remember some good times with some brave soles who were in the service of Her Majesty's Navy. So in reference to the "what are we fighting about" comment well there is my take on it. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  13. I have to concur with 300mag on this one. Whether it's high grade weapons stuff or not any radioactive material can make a bomb "dirty". That said, I still don't believe that a direct connection can be made to Al-Queda and Saddam yet. Although I am not totally ruling out the possibility. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  14. It's kind of funny when before all this started and I was saying that Russia and France had alterier motives for not wanting this war. There were a few people on these boards who thought I was smoking crack. (they might still) I have noticed that those critics are so far quite. As far as France goes they need to stay on the sidelines. They can cheer from there for all I care but they need to stay put. If they didn't want to get their hands dirty fine, keep em clean I say. 15. @Sgt.Crocodile That is a good question but I think that will be accounted for. You need to remember that the US produces enough grain to feed the world. While it would present a problem it wouldn't be one that would be difficult to over come. @phantom110565 Personally I think the Republican's problem isn't it's domestic policy but rather it's Public Relations. The democrats have gotten real good at protraying the Republicians as heartless, well you know. And from the outside looking in tough love often looks that way. But people are better off when they work for what they get rathe
  16. While I am not the type to gloat prematurely, did that once and got burned for it, it would be especially nice to see them find banned weapons in Iraq just so that the coalition members can look at countries like France, Russia and Germany and say I TOLD YOU SO!!! I can say this however, whether they find WMD's or not I think seeing Iraqi's celebrating in the streets of Baghdad is reason enough to do what the coalition did. Don't forget too that it was never the inspectors job to go out and find this stuff. It was the responsibility of the former government of Iraq, God I love saying th
  17. @Phantom You talk as though having Bush as President for another four years is a bad thing. You talk like he is some kind of growth. At least he isn't Gore or Clinton. And 300mag is right, the way federal budgets work, or at least the way they were explained to me, we were do to feel the effects of the previous administration's budget plans. 9/11 sure didn't help things either. As far as the stock market goes you can ask just about anyone in that field of work and they will tell you that the stock market has a tendency to correct itself when it goes either exceptionally high or low.
  18. I am assuming that this is in game sound problems. I had the same problem when I was still using an Ensoniq. Try turning down the sound acceleration in the DXdiag window. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  19. If he is alive I think he will be in either Syria or Tikrit. One is obviously better than the other. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  20. I have a sneaking suspicion that we will see NK try to back down slowly from this. If that happens then I guess President Bush will have played his cards correctly after all with Mr. Kim Stout Hearts Warhawk
  21. I'm glad somone who shall remain nameless (Zantar45) didn't bring up my name when talking about people that get off topic. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  22. A part of me has a real hard time in wanting to let countries like France into the Iraq solution now. If they wanted to solve things then they should have been on board in the first place. But then again when it comes to the French showing up for the victory parades seems to be what they do best. I started this out with "a part of me", well the other part see's some logic in the idea of having the UN help. I think they probably should that's is supposed to be part of the UN's duties anyways. Peacekeeping. I know that eventually this is what will happen. How soon or how far down the ro
  23. @alta FSB I tend to agree with you. Most of us on this board know what it's like to have been born and raised in a free society. Not many know what it's like to live under the likes of a dictator like Saddam. So to a certain extent I think some of us, even me as much as I hate to admit it, take for granted sometimes the freedoms we have. Although everytime I see a war memorial I am brought back to the reality of it all quickly. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  24. I kind of think he is looking for some wiggle room so he can keep his cushy job. I don't think that is happening anytime soon. As far as the other countries I think what will really make them squirm is the finding of WMD's. Undoubtly they are already uncomfortable but that finding would just push the issue right through their collective face's. Did you guys here about the Iraqi's that were mocking the "voluntary human shields" that remained behind. That was too funny. I wonder if they think their cause is still so grand? Now they have to find a safe way home. Stout Hearts Warhawk
  25. I have been paying close attention to the Rhetoric coming out of North Korea myself as trouble there would mean big trouble all over. I have said in private discussions and on here as well that I thought North Korea was looking at the trouble with Iraq and watching to see how it was resolved. Of particular note was their earlier stance on UN involvement in trying to solve the crisis. If you will remember initially North Korea said "any interference by the UN Sercuity Council would be tantamount to a declaration of war". Well that stance has been soften somewhat. For those that have not he
