Another good movie although I don't like Alec Baldwin. I am still waiting for him to leave the states as promised. Hunt For Red October P.S. Full Metal Jacket brings back some shakes err I mean memories too. Stout Hearts Warhawk

That is from one of my favourite movies. Full Metal Jacket Stout Hearts Warhawk

More intense firefights and the for the basic missions to "spawn in" reinforcements. I think that would go a long way to increase the intensity of the firefights. As I suggested in another thread, what about blood trails. In multiplayer this would make things more difficult/easier depending on which end of the "trail" you are on. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Although it's still too early to tell how things will work out with North Korea, I think the recent concessions by NK should give some early indications as to Bush's foreign policy. Consider that before the start of the Iraq war NK was saying that they would only talk to the US and any UN Security Council Resolutions against them would be tantamount to war. Now given what everyone has to consider as a win for Bush, whether WMD's are found or not the majority of Iraqi people appear to be overjoyed at Saddam's departure, and now this with North Korea. Those Bush detractors, who were condemnin

I think the media is finding itself in a "news vaccum" if you will. I say this because I think that the media is making more of the situation with Syria than is there. All I have heard coming from the Administration is that they have "expressed grave concerns to Syria on a number of issue's". I just wish that the media would back it off a little bit. They have the potential to make this worse than it might be. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Out of respect from myself, everytime I hear taps I stop whatever I am doing. I stand quietly, sometimes with a bowed head and others just staring off into the distance. Of the many thoughts that race through my mind as I hear that song one of the first is remembering it at my own father's funeral. My thoughts quickly turn from my own private pain to wondering about the pain others feel in their own hearts as this song reminds them of their loved ones who are now gone. Without fail as I stand there listening in silence I say a quick prayer for those that have fallen, those that stand at

@Budgie I'm ready I agree with this 100% and in fact said as much in another post on this thread. While I can not speak to the Bush's administrations motive for this, world politics is not a strong point for me, I can make the following assumption. Most would not see this reason alone as good enough of a reason. So in an attempt to gain more support the administration brought these other reasons to light. One could say that reason enough lies in the former Government of Iraq's, I love saying that, refusal to abide by UN Resolution 687 (The resolution ordering the Cease Fire

Kane, I wasn't putting up info in an effort to disagree with you, if I am misreading your last post please accept my apologies and disreguard this post, but merely putting up info that I found not everyone knew. I was surprised to learn from your post about Canadian involvement in the Civil War. You can bet that I will be looking into that futher. Thanks for the info and what appears to be will researched information. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Kane, I was going to say that Canadians can and do serve in the US Military, but as I read farther in your post I noticed that you touched on that. In fact I briefly served with a Canadian in the US Navy when I was in. Stout Hearts Warhawk

WEAPONS GRADE PLUTONIUM FOUND IN IRAQ!!!
warhawk replied to Stalker_Zero's topic in Real World Military
If I might interject something here too that I think all of us are overlooking. Lets go with the assumption that no WMD's will be found for just a moment. Doesn't the pictures of Iraqi citizens rejoicing upon hearing that they have been liberated from Saddam mean anything? I think those pictures of Iraqi's basically dancing in the streets should be good enough. Stout Hearts Warhawk -
@weeboz As yoda has said you want to find out just how fast your little "everyone is picking on me" problem can be resolved then just keep it up. With one notable exception on my part I have managed to maintain pretty good control over my anger with people on this forum. Budgie for one can attest to the fact that I more than anyone else here dislikes, abhor's and detest people who try to use sarcasm to make a point. As you are finding out for yourself it detracts from your stance, for which on this forum you would find some good allies ( I like to give credit where it's due even if I don

@budgie I don't recall him saying that or acting that way. Me however, now that is a different story. Since you bring it up can I take the time to point something out to you about how Russia and France were benefiting from the Status Quo? Below you will find just one link, time constraints this evening prevent me from going into great detail on this matter, on what France and Russia lost with this war and why now they will want to get back into Iraq as quickly as possible. French motives Could you maybe explain to me just how you see "Bush and Cheney laughing all the wa

The following was said by Red Skelton some many years ago. I think it rings just a true today as it did back then and will just as true in the tomorrow's that come. Red Skelton- Pledge of Allegance I - Me; and individual; a committee of one Pledge- Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity Allegiance- My love and my devotion To the Flag- Our standard; Old Glory; a symbol of Freedom;wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, Freedom is everybody's job. Of The United- That means that we have all come together.

@Stalker That splash screen is nothing short of amazing. I want it!!!!!!!! Stout Hearts Warhawk

@budgie I think any post role in Iraq should be limited to a few countries of the UN. If nations had any dealings with Iraq, such as France and Russia, and not wanted to help clean up a mess that was in one part or another contributed by all then I say thank you but no. Let the UN do what it does best, humanitarian work. Possibly a peacekeeping role. But I think France and Russia need to stay out. I said it before and I will say it again. If you didn't want to get your hands dirty fixing the first problem keep them clean. Stout Hearts Warhawk

Marines ordered to give up combat souveniers
warhawk replied to tyovan4's topic in Real World Military
This is something that has been going on for a long time. Is it looting, weeellll maybe. But when all you are talking about are rifles or pistols (that any american can get legally in the first place) or pictures of Saddam I don't see any harm in it. My father did some of the same during World War II and so did others I know in past wars. Centcom's problem with this I think has more to do with the looting that is ongoing in Iraq now by it's own citizens. I can see the need to present a moral high ground to the rest of the world on this issue. More than likely what will happen is once the -

I have to agree with you there Argyll. Too often people want to jump the gun. I myself am probably the most quilty of this. Stout Hearts Warhawk -
@Argyll I have to agree with Meprolite. He is right that service members like to "bust each others chops". I know from first hand experience. As do some others on this forum who have engaged me privately in such a manner. As far as needing to see the film I too would agree with that. Stout Hearts Warhawk

WEAPONS GRADE PLUTONIUM FOUND IN IRAQ!!!
warhawk replied to Stalker_Zero's topic in Real World Military
Bravo 300mag Bravo, As is so often the case people forget that the cost of their freedom of speech came at a cost. It came at a cost to the founding fathers of the US and to those who fought to protect in the coming wars and battles of what is now our history. We also owe a great debt of gratitude to the silent soilders of the Cold War. If it wasn't for the men and women who served as a deterrent during this troubling time Communism might have well ruled the world. We also owe our thanks to those that are currently serving for continuing to protect our way of life. Stout Hearts War -
WEAPONS GRADE PLUTONIUM FOUND IN IRAQ!!!
warhawk replied to Stalker_Zero's topic in Real World Military
Well put Phantom I couldn't have said it better myself. There are two things I try to remember when discussing things with people. 1). It is far better to have people think your an idiot than open your mouth and prove them right. 2). If you have the courage to say something have the courage to admit you were wrong if later you are proven wrong. Stout Hearts Warhawk -
Ok budgie pin your ears back....Just kidding but seriously. I still say France can sit this one all the way out. If they don't want to be a part of the turmoil and the bloodshed then they shouldn't have any part of the reconstruction. This is something the french seem to like to do the most. Let someone else do the dirty work and then come in and help pick up the pieces and say "see what good things we did". I will agree that the US is not going to win the "most trusted nation" award in that region but if they stick this out and hold Israel's feet to the fire. There is a lot of good th
