One other question, How do I play with my friends on UBI when I am on a Mac? We only have game ranger. Cant they just give me the servers address?

Hi, When we went to myip.com, it gave us a ip like 66.1.etc, but when we went to GR and my freind creates the game his ip says 169.25.etc...so they dont match up. I will tell him about how to turn off the firewall for his xp machine. I use a mac and heres whats funny or wierd, when I create the game, and I give him my ip, everything is ok he can see me and join my games, but when he goews to create a game, and gives me his ip, nothing happens or I time out. So it must be on his side. He also has way more mods than me (I'm still new at this) So could that be an issue? Thanks for all th

OK guys, We have tried everything, well maybe not all, but here is what we have done so far. We disconnected his router and plugged the Cable modem straight into the computer, then tried it and nothing happened. Went to myip.com and got his ip address, tried that and nothing happened. When he went to create a game his ip was different from what myip.com posted, so maybe that was one problem. we are still not sure if windows Xp has a built in firewall. so that may be another problem. Am I missing something? I know someone will come through for me, Any help appreciated, cheers psy

Does windows XP have a built in firewall? If so How do I turn it off. I still cannot connect to his server, and we have the same Mission mods etc... Cheers

Hi all, complete newbie and completely amazed with Ghost Recon. I have a mac with ghost recon on it and my friends back home have it on PC, with the new 1.4 patch, can We see each other using multiplayer options? Can the mac see the PC's IP address and join in, or if the other person has a router, does that interfere with join the game? Sorry if this is a dumm question. Cheers, Psyops
