  1. I've enjoyed Op Stabilise, so far... it's a great mod...but my enthusiasm for it is somewhat dampened because I had to skip mission 3 because it kept crashing and now mission 7 locks up when loading. I'm so frustrated because I love this mod! I've tried editing the unlocked heros and mission files, but that didn't work for some reason. Any help on how to get to mission 8? Are there any fixes in the works?
  2. It's a known issue, I'm afraid. So far, the only solution that seems to be working is to navigate to your Op.S. /save/game folder, and delete all quick saves there 'cept checkpoint.sav (that one contains your campaign progress info so DON'T delete it). Then fire up GR and try mission 3 again...let us know if it worked nope
  3. I can't get past mission 3. Just as the mission is getting started, something happens that crashes the game everytime. anyone else with this problem?
  4. is this available yet? Guy liIIIIikes!
  5. I'd have to agree... ditch the m203. Cool, but not practical on a sniper rifle. But to each his/her own. What I would like to see most of all is a harris bipod. I fixed stock version might be swell, too! check this out: http://www.freewebs.com/stgn-addonsworkshop/m4spr.htm keep up the great work!
  6. Great idea! I was toying with the idea myself. It's about time I say! One thing I liked about the idea of a NK mod is that the DPRK has a strong commitment to Special Operations Forces and they are likely to figure heavily into any conflagration. Sounds like a lot of fun! Can't wait to play it!
  7. I'm trying to do the same, but without any luck... care to elaborate? Or is this a trade secret?
  8. No, I haven't played Vietcong, but that's what I had in mind. I think it would add a lot more realism to the game. You wouldn't be able to plink off 30 baddies with sniper fire if they were able to call in mortars on your position, for example. The console idea is brilliant, that had never occurred to me! I don't know how you would go about doing it, but I'll have a look. I'm new to scipting, so it mike take some time...and, like you, time is always the issue!
  9. One of the things I really would like to see in GR is the ability to call for fires (mortars, etc. - and to have them called in on you!) and close air support. Also, I'd love to be able to laser designate targets for smart bomb runs or laser guided artillery. Has anyone done any work on this? Any ideas? bn
  10. It seems to me that one of the glaring ommisions from GR1 is that there is no ability to call in close air support, especially by AC 130. That's bread and butter for SOF guys. I see two possibilities for incorporating CAS: 1) fighter/bomber runs, 2) ac 130 gunship cover. I'm new to modding, but it seems like you might be able to script the first option, possibly adding laser designation (let me know if anyone's figured this out!). This may be more of a scripting and/or a weapons mod problem (i.e. creating SOFLAM and getting it to work appropriately). But what about AC 130's? Could you make a vehicle (invisible even) equipped with the appropriate weaponry, that could loiter around the map and could, perhaps in response to some trigger, rain down all sorts of hell and destruction? It's probably a stupid question. bn cover.
