  1. If that is the case with the newer GR games, then I will not be purchasing any and will not tell my other co-op friends to do so either. I have 6 other friends right now, hoping to go to 7 shortly who have got GR1, Desert Siege and Island Thunder installed on their computers along with a bunch of co-op modes. That is how we are play, it more exciting and for the newbies, it is easier for them to learn instead of getting frustrated with all of the things they need to learn to do in single player mode. There is times that we play every night of the week for a couple of hours. I had hoped that as everyone's computers got bigger and faster that we could upgrade to the newer GR's but I guess that is not the case. The new games even the city maps should allow at least 6 players in co-op mode. I am sure the Armys of the world take more than two or three people into these situations. Give the users more ways to play the game, that is how you sell games as well. Not just on a single player aspect but on numerous players playing the same boards. Hoping for a better co-op future !! Dean
  2. I am playing in Multiplayer and I don't recall any mention of specialists through the other missions. Are they still available then too ?? Thanks, Dean
  3. I realize that I need a guy that has EMU's, you tell me which one because I can't find one. I have went through all of the soldiers and there isn't one that shows the EMU's. That is what I am trying to figure out, I have even went in with just myself and it still doesn't show up anywhere. Dean
  4. Blakarion, We are having a problem with Mission 14 - Dragon's Liar. There was two of us playing in MP and there was no guy that carried the EMU's. We picked a sniper and rifleman with sensor's and went in, it just quickly showed a couple of screens and then said "What are you going to do with no EMU's" or something along that line. Any ideas on this or does it fall under one of the weird things that happen at time like the Readme states? Thanks, Dean
  5. Guys, of the people using Teamspeak and/or Ventrilo, which do you like better. This will be used for about 3 or 4 people and ran of a home pc while running GR in MP mode. What about costs, any for just home users ??? Have Fun & Thanks for the replies. Dean
  6. Not sure where to put this, so I will start here. Currently while playing MP with a few friends we communicate via 3-way calling. What I would like to do is, do the communication via the internet with a headset that has a microphone on it. Any one know of anything that we could use for this and what it all includes to do so. I am currently the server for the MP, can I run this at the sametime and not hurt the speed of game play OR should one of my friends run it on their PC while I am the main server for MP? Thanks and Have Fun, Dean
  7. blakarion. You need some beta testers for Multiplayer, you let me know !!! I have two other guys and we play a couple times a week and we bust these babies up until we ran into the Counter Attack Mission. We have played that board for almost 10 hours and each trip is about 10 - 15 minutes long. Just read your spoiler and hopefully, it will help us out of this mess ... it really sucks when you are on Recruit and can't pass a board after that length of time. BUT, overall it is a great mod for GR. Thanks for the work and I will keep an eye out for the next installments. Dean
  8. Works awesome !!! Thanks for all the help !!!!!!! Dean
  9. Actually, I didn't know about the same update for CO2 and have downloaded it but have not try the game yet. Hopefully, tomorrow I will get that tested out. GeForce4 MX 420 with TV-Out Video Card and no I will not download the latest as that is what got me into this situation to begin with. I basically uninstall all of the video drivers and re-install with the driver CD that came with the PC. All works fine now with over 2 hours of play time in both single & multiplayer games. Thanks for all the help, Dean
  10. Thanks BajaBravo. I will try that and get back to you on what I find out. I appreciate all the help. Oh and thanks for the awesome mod !!! Dean P.S. - Can you recommend any other good multiplayer mods? I am waiting for the Dynacorp one but not sure when it will come out. Thanks again.
  11. BajaBravo, I have put the 85 Meg patch on and it still crashes. I was playing tonight in Multiplayer with 1 buddy. We finished board #2 and and we try to go in, it just quits. Oh and this is in Recruit level if that matters too. Here is the log files again. I am running Windows XP Home Edition with all updates possible except the current video driver which CTD. 512 Meg Ram and I think the rest is in the Ike.log file. When we played board #2, there was no problems. 12. Actually, I have did just that !!! But I do thank you for posting that information. I just un-installed all the video stuff and re-install right from the manufacturers CD. Works as smooth as glass now and I definately won't be getting any updates for the video drivers anytime soon. Thanks to all that helped !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dean
  13. Anyone have this problem. I only have DS, IT & CO2 activated and playing multiplayer. Selected board #3 and click ready, it looks like it is going to start (get count down and all) and screen blacks out and then boom CTD. I have tried putting all the graphics selections down to low and even 16 bit. Nothing worked, still CTD when trying to start it up. We have played the other boards with no problems. It is only my computer that CTD, the buddy's all just drop back to the multiplayer screen. Below will be the ike.log and the ikecrash.log files. 14. Well, it is still happening !!!!!!!!! Originally I thought FB was activated BUT it is not, only DS, IT & CO2 is activated. It always happens when I am about to move one of the platoons somewhere in the control map. I have dropped the map detail dow to medium and unchecked the three boxes in the bottom right-hand corner of the graphics section. Still don't know what it up with this but it is getting extremely upsetting .... especially when you are in the middle of this and it is going your way and then ... BOOM ... desktop .... THAT SUCKS !!!!!!!!! Thanks, Dean
  15. Ok, this is probably going to be a stupid question but I am just getting started on this downloadable mod stuff. When I downloaded these, I just installed them as a normal program like any other software. I went into GR as each one was installed, activated it and made sure that they worked correctly. Other than some small graphics problems in the options menu on Frostbite, everything has worked fine. Should I make sure that the only mods that GR has activated is DS & IT ???? I have been bringing two other buddies along with me as we all play Multiplayer off of my computer all the time so if I had the new mods then they had have them too. They have not been having this problem but then again, they don't play single player as much as I do. I didn't think it would make a difference how they were installed or does it ??????? Keep the comments coming !!!!! Thanks again, Dean
