it is better to use the Norton progy to clean it off. I have it on disk along with the windows patch that fixes the bug.
if ur trying to fix it, and the computer starts the countdown till shutdown, click start, go to run, and type
shutdown -a
that will abort the shutdown so u can finish off the virus.

I did play ghost recon with the stock drivers on the dsik that came with my 8500, not a prob......
could u specifiy what probs specifically? rendering errors?

and yes, the low end cards are much closer. I am kinda tempted to buy a GF-FX5900se/xt. I dont have a prob with buying nvidia hardware, but I just havn't had driver probs in 3+ years of oc'n and gaming. well, i do get rendering errors when oc'd to far.........

is a newbie guide......neither are reliable because companys give them many for reviews......
and I dont think there is a prob with ati drivers....... I never had a prob....
I also frequent rage3d.com/board, and there are not many probs of incompatibility(that I remember). Before the 8500 there were many probs.....but not after the catylist series. I would rather have a fast video card, then a slow card with "fast" drivers.... we all know how Nvidia likes to play with their drivers

uhm, I have only used ATI since the days of the GF2(2x8500,4x9500np,1x9700pro,1x9800), and have never ever had a driver prob.
whats probs specifically?
I just dont know.........

The 5700 is slower then the 5900XT/SE, but the price is very close.
A 9700pro for $200 is also very good.
I like Ati better because of the faster DX9 performance.

well, i am on mission4. I had two killed in the first mission cause i wasn't paying attenetion,..then one got killed by the tanks on the 3rd mission.
what would be the best mods? I dont really know what the best guns for game would be. For a rifle I would take a cetme308/H&K G3, and SMG I would want a UMP45/SD.

because even ith volt mods I couldn't get higher then 400core/362mem.
My old 9500np in my sig got 470/335 for benches...... so I decided to get a r350 chip card so I can get that core speed again. I have a TEC, so iam hoping to get 500+ core speed.........

I am new to ghost recon, i finishe dthe first mission.....
but I find the stupid baddies are too accurate. I am a ways off, I shoot a couple, and one fires from the hip and gets a headshot......
are they any mods that are really good to hlep the single player?
also, is there a co-op for LAN?

oc'n an XP3200 wont do much more then an XP2500. they are all built on the same core type. I have a XP1700 running at 230x10.5=2420mhz....... so they all max at about the same speed really.

I would have to say buy a cheaper budget card, and then get a nice fast card when the spring comes and prices drop........
something like a 9600pro or a GF4Ti4600.
right now I am waiting on a 9800np in the mail, cause I got sick of poor overclocking of my 9700pro(400/362 max), so I am playing ghost recon with an 8500. I run it maxed out at 1280x1024(17in CRT) just fine, so a budget card can help save money.......

I have downloaded a few weapons mods, but I still cant use them in the game. All I can use are the m16 kits, M249 kits, M4, and M24 kits.
I avtivated the mods in the game, but they dont work.
