  1. No m8, I very rarely play TvT, more a Co-op guy myself but I think that if you expose something like this to daylight then it becomes something either everyone uses or no-one does, either way the lame cheaters lose out.
  2. I must admit I've not noticed it that much (I'm normally too busy dying and respawning) But if that is the case I would assume it was a trade of between eye candy and FPS. People would rather have a decent FPS than huge explosions in MP.
  3. Personally I would rather it was out in the open than wondering how that guy managed to kill me with an MRC through 3ft of concrete
  4. First off let me say I did not work out any of the mods here, they were done by people far more capable than me. All I'm doing is putting the instructions in easy to understand terms for people like me who are worried about delving into the Modders Dark Arts So props to: DiGiTALY -TC for his work on the Localisation stuff Here And to RaToN for his Clean Hud V3 So on to the instructions Download Clean Hud V3 from Here Browse to your GR:AW folder and select the Data folder. Once selected create a new sub folder called gui You should now end up with your Data folder contain
  5. Fantastic find m8, working a treat here and without unpacking the bundle too. I just followed the instructions by DiGiTALY -TC Here One question though, Degamer mentions using half the original sepia value looks nice. Because I didn't unpack the bundle I have no idea what the original value was, can someone let me know.
  6. nope.. 1-make a "local" folder 2-make an "english" subfolder 3-use this "english" subfolder as your "data" folder (so put into it a textures folder with your modded skin for istance) Cheers matey
  7. Ok, really stupid question. I have no local folder in which to make a mods folder so do I make a new folder called local then another in there called mods?
  8. You know, I never even thought about that and can't believe it's taken someone so long to bring it up. Good one m8.
  9. Lol, you know what m8, I got the GRNET team together last night for some GR1, we were playing about with the weapons from the Armenia mod so we had a firefight set up. [GRNET] 0 Alpha joined and we set about a map, I died in my usual non spectacular way and to cut a long story short Alpha went looking for the guy who killed me. I was Obs through his eyes, we knew the guy was about, Alpha was crawling over a ridge, scanning the ground ahead. Suddenly BAM from nowhere Alpha gets hit. I hear him actually yelp over TS, I had nearly crapped myself when the Thud happened. 3 more times he was
  10. Pretty steady 45fps average. 1680 x 1050 @ 60hz AMD 64 3800+ 2GB DDR400 (4 x 512 in Dual Channel) BFG 7900GT @ 475mhz/1360mhz - Nvidia 84.56 WHQL Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Audigy 2 ZS Everything High, XML edited, all managed_textures set to true.
  11. I didn't know that !!! will try when I can find some players to try it out, Is that cross-com still in Black and White view ??? , be nice in color [colour uk version] Black & White and off centre due to the camera being mounted on the side of the guy's helmet. Can be quite motion sickness enducing.
  12. I think the clue might be in his first post
  13. No problem with the MX1000 here but you may need to change the default keymapping in the Logitech software as they may conflict with the keys in GR:AW
  14. So you're one of those guys that doesn't play m/p so you could care less whether or not that side of the GR market is fulfilled. That's a selfish little world you live in. Ruggbutt, Get your fact straight before commenting m8. Ask anyone at Team GRNET, I'm the guy that DOESN'T play SP. I only ever completed 2 missions in [GR], it just aint my thing. Have a look who it was who started the MP CO-OP wishlist thats pinned in this forum. I was just pointing out a FACT, not stating my personal preference.
  15. NOX you need to grow up and take that egocentric, chest beating, US are the greatest tripe with you. You took the game back so why don't you now cancel your account here as well cos hey, there's no reason for you to hang around with us 'Non US' losers anymore is there. Basically it makes me sick the way you and some people think the MP side of gaming is the 'Holy Grail' and all Publishers and Developers should count themselves lucky you play their games. The truth is you are just another branch of the market to exploit and actually a smaller gross income than the SP market. Hell how much
  16. I'm not being funny Colin but cryptic answers like that are really not helpful. I think people would prefer a straight "Please wait until the patch" than "Working"... "Certain circles" etc.
  17. Actually I think you will find the Co-op side has done just as much to keep the GR series going as any other. Who do you think the majority of the modding community was aiming at? All sides of the GR community needs treating equally, hell the PC market is small enough as it is without more division so just chill and see what occurs when the JUNE patch/Expansion appears.
  18. You can't aim at all when carrying someone, you have no crosshairs, you can only walk etc. This is already included and happens in the VIP mission. So no need to include it in the wishlist as the feature is already there, just hoping the mod tools allow us to use it
  19. We already had a topic a while ago that tried to describe the IT in [GR]. There was some good descriptions. For me (like most I suspect) there was no ONE thing that did it. It was a WHOLE atmosphere thing. Unlike any game before (or since) I felt immersed. The SOUND was awsome, on some maps you could just lie in cover and listen to the sounds of the wind rustling the leaves and the other ambient sounds. The graphics (by todays standards) are not breath taking, but they were somehow RIGHT. The lens flare on some maps, the way the trees gently swayed, a patrol in the distance or a single g
  20. I was just remembering a conversation we (Team GRNET) had a while ago regarding GR:AW and how expectant we were etc and we were talking about Modding and Mission scripting etc. The conversation turned to injured or downed Team mates etc and how cool it would be if you could actually pick em up and carry em. Well GR:AW is out and guess what, you can pick someone up and carry em, all the animations are there, everything so I hope this feature can be expanded upon in future Mods, Missions scripts etc. If the player limit etc for Co-op is sorted then imagine the Co-op Tournament possibili
  21. This is not a flame my friend but please read the first post again. This thread is trying to keep all the CO-OP issues together without it getting lost in numorous other wishes and fixes such as AA etc.
  22. Ok, we seem to be posting all over the place, a comment here, a problem fix there so I though I would start a single thread to try and pull us all together hopefully. Before I start I just want to clarify just WHAT I'm hoping for here. This thread is aimed at MULTI-PLAYER CO-OP. To qualify that I mean a group of players on one team playing against the AI in a mission based scenario. Not DM - Players playing against Players. Not TDM - A TEAM of Players playing against another TEAM of Players. I have nothing against these gametypes, I just don't play em and would rather you set up
  23. I really do not think I should have to play this game with what I believe are nursemaid aids(enemy markers) just to get rid of what is obviously a bug. Hopefully a fix will appear in the upcoming patch.
