    on mbc i was near the ally next to the garge a enemy side steped out and i was about to throw a nade in the alley and i hit him in the head with it. The nade fell to the ground and he shot the stuffing out of me. (i think GR should have it if u get hit by a unexloded nade it should stun them for a second)

    I have the Island Thunder pack but thats about it. To be honest, I didnt want it installed, as I preferred to play the single player game only with what the original GR offered.

    So, its fair to say then, that if I want to access the servers listed by ASE, then I should at least add the Island Thunder pack?

    Alot of servers these days run modds. Their are alot of them out there, so this might be. One thing you can do is write down the ip for the server and start up GR, and manually enter the IP address.....

    Thanks, but I have tried this with numerous servers this afternoon and the same old message pops up.

    I really cant understand what the problem is. As noted above, 1 in 10 connections is succesful at ubisoft - the puzzling thing is that there is nothing that sets the sucessful connection apart from the failures - if there was, I might be in with a chance of getting this solved.

    I suppose as a last resort, I could try re-installing GR.

    I dont mind not being able to connect as such - its the 'Unknown error' message that really burns my a s s. If I got a proper error message, then things would be OK (well, beter at least).

    9 out of 10 Ghost Recon players recommend never trying to use the Ubisoft game matching application. It's buggy as all heck, at best.

    Instead, I would recommend The All Seeing Eye, at least as a server browser. You'll likely find better quality servers and probably a better quality of gamer.

    It may not solve your problem, but I suspect that it will. Ubi.com is not exactly well-managed. :blink:

    I'll give that a go then...I managed to play a few games last night via ubisoft, but only after a lot of mucking around. Certainly a lot different to single player... ;)

    Hello folks...

    I am a long time GR player, but have only just started playing online.

    I find though that wene playing at ubisoft, I have a very hard time connecting to any servers. From 9 out of 10 connection attempts I always get the error message 'Cannot connect to server: Unknown reason'.

    Firewall is setup fine and I have the necessary patches.

    Is this a common problem with connecting at ubisoft, or is there something else that can be done in order to fix this. Its damn frustrating to say the least.

    Any help or advice would be appreciated.
