Well I updated the VIA chipset 4 in 1, updated to the latest video drivers, and the directx 9.0b, and finally got to installing GR yesterday. Everything has been up and running for 24 hours. Alright, I'll take a stab at that. So far I did install the VIA 4 in 1 today, my video drivers I do have installed off the CD, I'll look into something more off the ATI site. I'll let you know how it all goes. Thanks for your input on this.

I do intend in the next month or two to replace the Duron with an Athlon and get the Asus DX 400 FSB Mobo, however I did read on here that people have had issues with that mobo. So I'm reconsidering my plans. My computer doesn't hibernate, my monitor does go to standby but my computer freezes even if I'm sitting here using it after I install GR. I'll be browsing the web or something and the next thing I know, it's had.

Hi everyone, I've recently installed XP Professional, I had reformatted my computer to do this. Everything had been running smoothly until I installed GR. I installed GR in this order: GR, DS, IT, Patch 1.4, HX5 I confirmed this was the cause by once again reformatting my computer and installing everything up to that point over three days time. I installed something new every 8 - 10 hours to see how the computer would react. After everything was installed my computer would randomly just freeze. It would go absolutely unresponsive and I'd have to hit the power button and turn it off then back on. It was very inconsistent, this would occur anywhere from 15 minutes after starting up to 4 hours later. It wouldn't survive over night, I'd wake up in the morning and my computer would be frozen. Uninstalling GR wouldn't work. In fact, trying to uninstall the game my computer would never run long enough to complete the entire process. So I had problems with getting GR off my computer. For the third time, I had to reformat. My computer is running fine now, but I have installed GR yet and I'm kinda scared to go through all that stress again. However, I really miss playing, especially online with my friends. So has anyone heard of this issue?
