Sart, Pave and Me in some Bradeys

Sarts got him

M113 and Hummers heading out

M113 in Afghan base

-
I'll be around, and I've got most if not all of the COMBAT stuff.
-
Ah, cheater.
Anyway, we need a screenshot utility, bad. There were masses of great opportunities on that last mission; the two convoys, those fights at the fibre-optic station, and of course your reign of terror on the Mk.19. It's impractical to Print Scrn and Alt-Tab every two minutes,
Easy Screen Capture 123 Puts a smallish overlay on the top right of the pic which could be easily cropped or removed. Saves pics to a designated folder so you can click away till your hearts content.

Great games this evening. Except for some hideous livestock-related war crimes of which I'd rather not speak.
That McDonalds that you ate didn't commit suicide did it?

Camp fire was already lit, I figured we've have a BBQ .... cept you guys got yourselves killed .... well okay I killed Sart, but that was only because as we all know he's ALWAYS eating, and it'd meant he'd have eaten all the steaks.

-
I was out this evening, and probably won't be around tonight, Thursday I should be back on for some games.
I really need to find some time to throw the rest of my "Mission" together as well

-
Happy Birthday NC

You got something against seagulls mate?

Last one back buys the drinks ...

Sart deep in thought before Insert

-
Excellent. Wish I had known that when we were loading, quiting, reloading ad infinatum

As Sart, 2nd Ranger and El Nino know only too well I've had a recurring issue with hosting OPF and keeping my Norton firewall up and running.
What I found was the in the Intrusion Protection Section the Autoblock feature was reading the Sockets scan from PC's trying to join me as an attempt to access my PC, which it was, but NIS didn't know that I wanted these PC's to access my PC so I could run a game.
The solution was to click the Exclusion button next to the blocked IP's and exclude them from the autoblock feature.
Result, Everyone got in using Sockets
and mucho funo was had by all. -

Hopefully we can make sure that 2nd Ranger can see the same thing. I'd like to try and host to see what the connections are like to my PC. I've a 2.8 P4, so I've plenty of spare CPU power to run a server as long as the connection problems we've had in the past have sorted themselves out with me running TCPOptimizer, which I hope they have.
We can try later on if someone else is on, however I may not be around (gaming wise) until Saturday Night

-
Well it seems that it was my connection that was causing the problem. Ran TCPOptimizer, adjusted the settings and off we went. Sart was hosting as a mid way point between me and El Nino, and we both had similar pings to his server.
Looking Good

-
We can try ASE if that is what most people are suggesting, then all the better. Certainaly from reading the forums it would appear that Sockets offers the better network code. All you lose is the Voice Over Network feature, and since we use TeamSpeak anyway it's no loss for us

-
Sart and I tried, and tried, and tried ...
to get Sockets to work. He couldn't see my server, I couldn't see his. Also as an upshot he now can't see my Direct Play server either

I can't understand why the sockets are not working, but it may be down to network latency, or my firewall/router combo.
A lot of work tonight, and no return

We may try hosting with GameSpy arcade to see if that is any better.

*rushes to put it back on topic*
I can spare you two buttons and some pocket dirt, that's about it. You could always join the other tightwads, including myself in the OFP forum
and splurge out on OPF GOTY
-
You need some webfirst to host the pics on and then either use the
button, or thehttp://
button.IMGBoth will ask you for the URL of where you pic is, enter that (cutting and pasting it from a browser window which is showing your pics is a good idea as it negates any typo's), and the description if you are using the
button and voila.http:// -
Pave Low just bought a copy of OFP GOTY

-
I think I found it at OPFEC.com, can't remember. It is a third party app, not official.
-
Doesn't PBO Decrypter or whatever it's called do this? Separate the PBO File I mean.
-
*Click*
-
Okey Dokey, we'll give that a whirl, hopefully it'll work. Ranger had a slight hiccup last night, but managed to join after rebooting his machine. Sart had an infamous lock up about 5 mins in the first time

I take it I can host with Sockets without using Gamespy?
-
We really need a list that we can update when we add new addons.
Perhaps we should start a thread "Mods that I have", each of us can post one entry that we will edit to show which Mods we have, and just as Important, where we got them from. That way we can keep track of what we have, and what we need.
Thoughts?
-
Worth a shot. I have an account with Gamespy, I think. Been ages since I used it tho.
-
I'll be around, in about 3 hours from now (2000 UTC/GMT) depending on when the kid falls asleep.
El, I had quite a bit of stuff missing
TALEBAN stuff
Blue Runway Marker
BRACKEN, and some other stuff
I'll try and get alist together with all the stuff.
