Daring daylight rescue by US Forces

In a daring daylight raid, US forces secured the realease of two of their own captured after a ambush by enemy forces. Sgt James Pound and Cpl Richard Holl had been held for two days in an enemy camp to the south east of the US forces front line, and unconfirmed reports indicate that the raid was launched after information that the two soldiers were to be executed today.
Senior officers stated that troops based in the theater were used as opposed to Special Forces who are better trained to deal with this type of incident, to "show the kidnappers we can look after our own".
No details of casualties have been released, but the two soldiers who had been held hostage were said to be in good spirits, but showing "physical signs" of their ordeal.
The news will come as a great boost for the US administration who have now secured a United Nations Mandate to operate in the area.
Resolution 365 gives the US authority to act on behalf of the United Nations and the Indigenous government to "restore civil order, and political structure to the area". This has resulted in a deployment of more troops to the area, and the addtion of armoured vehicles. The UN have however stated that the use of "Heavy armour, such as Main Battle Tanks" have to be avoided unless determined to be of "operational necessity" by the Commander of the US forces in Socrata (COMMSOC).

My first port of call would be, like CR6 suggested to make sure there are no loose cables or cards in the PC. From experience it only takes something to move a fraction of an inch and it can cause all sorts of problems.

Casualties mount in Socrata Campaign

Since the US insertion into a still unclear and uncertain situation, casualties have began to mount on the US side. No one on the US forces are offering the view that their will be no US casualties in this operation, and a few senior officers have stated off the record that they have been suprised that given the ferocity of the opposition forces that the number of US forces killed or injured have been as few as they are.
This situation appears now to be taking a deadly shift against the US forces, with the number of troops injured rising, and despite no official confirmation, US forces killed in Socrata has risen to 32.
US soldiers tell me that they have noticed a shift in the enemy tactics, and the onslaught of the first few days of the fighting have been replaced, by more cautious, and more deadly tactics by the enemy forces. Probing attacks during the night, and hit and run ambushes on convoys from the US held airbase in the north have accounted for almost 5% of the US casualties so far.
US commanders are currently reviewing the intelligence gained from the previous days actions, and have been consolidating the territory that they hold at this time. While still awaiting a mandate from the United Nations, the US forces have been issued with orders to secure the ground that they have taken, and to make efforts to contact the indigenous political structure on the island.
While this goes on the US forces are begining to integrate with the local population, who on the whole are wary and untrusting, hardly suprising given the speed at which this confict has consumed their once peaceful island. US Engineers have restored electricty and water to one small village near the airbase, and they hope that this will go some way to convincing the Socratans that they are here to help them.

I've added the above stuff, and Sarts Mission works, but Rangers Doesn't

I'll try and work out what I've missed, and that should give the new guys an idea where to start from for tomorrow and Saturday

Has it always done this or have you added a new piece of hardware recently, like a CD/DVD drive, or a Hard disk?

Oh, and NC, don't base any judgement on the stuff that comes with the game, get the addons you need for the MP stuff, and get on a server with the guys.
That's where the real fun is. The stock stuff os okay, but the stuff we've seen and done is I think, amazing.
The addons required will hopefully be sorted out soon, that's the only thing with OPF, the addon system is a bit wobbly, as we've found out as we've added stuff.

We could start with the stuff we have for the GOA campaign, and add the other stuff as we remember/need it

The Co-op aspect is immense. Firefights are louder and more confusing than GR, the scenery can be incredible, and some of the addons literally defy beleif that there free.
