Im working on some characters, ... and I'm using real actors as references. But i wanted to take a pic of em while i was watching whatever DVD. Seems like i cant do that with the print screen feature. At least not with windows media player. Anyone have any suggestions? I dont care to go to 3dmax load the avi, and seach for the right frame, as this is the only way i found to work so far.

Maybe for those with A.D.D. , aka Run N Gunners. Personaly, I enjoy the imersive quality that cinematics bring to a MP game, cinimatics can bring more clarity to what mission success entails and an entertaining intro to what to expect, and I hope that those bugs in GR1 will be fixed for GR2.

Well you might get lucky and you wont be hit by the shadow bug. But if you do have people who notice shadows (very likely) Best bet is to hide these guys off map, or some place inaccessable to player platoon, and teleport them to the desired location. Also, if you decide the shadows dont bother you too much, make them invincible until you make them visable. This will prevent crashing.

I simply use a preaction script block to controlonly what groups are enabled or disabled at startup. Its good for reference and its never gives me any problems, where I've had an occasion where the game crashed until I used the response Group disable at startup.

Well, IMO, Jack's missions are the most entertaining. Also liked operation Stabilize.

Well I knew of the issue with the black hawk in mp, big no no, but I'm using Chem's little birds. The first test I ran was to make sure i could see the little bird on a dedicated server, and you can. Problem is on a dedicated, its not respoonsing to the script. If i host the mission, it goes acording to the way it was supose to, even for those who join in on my game. On a dedicated, script says "Little bird,follow this plan, teleport here", little bird says "what"? Frustrating thing is I workedne the mission revolving around this chopper insertion! Darn, and here i was thinking I was do

Damn!, ..... does teleport air vehicle not work on a dedi server? I got that mission working just right in single player, ... I can see the helicopter on the dedi, ... it just does not teleport. Currently I have the Chopper next to insertion, .. on a one sec time elapsed, I load the vehicle, .the next second i teleport it off map(over an area you normally cant walk on), and send it on its way. Works great in single player, .. but on a dedi doesnt go! Here is another question, If i have the helicopter set up off map already, and 200 yards away is the insertion, ... if i used the load vehic

Means i cant click on it. I can click on the campaign link ok. same with credits and quit. But every other button does not work for me and its greyed out. .

Hmmm, .. again i had the same problem , but im not using cinematics. In my mission, im doing a thing where the chopper we are inserting into the mission is shot down. Of course when it was hit by the AT, its supose to trigger the unload plan. Unfortunatly, i got stuck half on the chopper half off map (wierdness to say the least). Messed around with it for a long while, but finally decided to just do a teleport of whoever was on the chopper to an insertion spot next t the crash site. I just noticed the same thing on what I was doing. But if I skiped the restart and chose the mission again from the main menu, it goes away.

I know I know, ... there is a big fat button above that says "downloads". There are alot of great missions and mods, .... but i was wondering, does anyone have missions they made for different maps available they would like to share? There are 100s of missions for the stock maps, and only a few available for newer maps, those that usually come with the mod.

The way i like to do a Demo Check, or any Objective check where I have a 1 sec time elapsed trigger, ... i make sure i place it in its own defualt group. Example: Trigger:StartUP Response:Group enable Obj capable Check? Group:Group Obj capable Check? Trigger: Time elapsed 1 sec Response: Blah BLAH BLAH Trigger: Whatever completes an objective response: mark objective complete group disable Group obj capable check?

I HATE HIDING CAPTIVE/HOSTAGE ACTORS. It just seems so arbitray to when it wants to work, and I've spent waaaaay too much time switching actors from hostage/ to captive, to here, and there, and on and on. Last mission i made, i had several hostages light up no matter what i tried to do. Onlyafter giving up did all of a sudden they disapeared off my map, which was cool for the mission, but i was ###### at Igor! I dunno why it does that, but i have a new theory, there may be a problem with hostages getting hiden from the command map if other hostages can see/hear each other. I wouldnt be su

I dont thik so. I can only suggest if this is to be distributed, tell people whats up in the briefing or in a pop up message on how to turn it on/off easilyand the consiquence of not doing so. Most of the people who will want it will prob know whats up already.

Or you can play tag ,before he leads you to a group of armed guards. trigger: Proximity to guard = 0 respose: he surrenders and gives you keys to the armory

Thx!, ... I did my lil research, and I now know what i am looking for, ... a target Dummy. Anyone know of a mod with a target Dummy, or somewhere I can download it? Is it possible to make the target dummy indestructable? Im guessing yes.

Ok, two questions, ... one on topic, one that isnt. First, what zone is typically the base one defends in a coop defend mission, ... base 3 with the lil box (sp/coop) checked? Second question, ... I know I've come accross posts in the past about harntrox creating a vehical/ mod that allowed for some creative scripting. like tanks firing at you, ... i never payed attention to what you could do with it really but now I want it. I'd like to see what i can do with it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, ... got a link?, ... after posting this I'll do a search for it. Thanks
