  1. Here's another one. I haven't tried it though: http://www.dvdflick.net/
  2. Well, here's what you need to do. Once the files are in MPEG format, then when you go in through Nero and add the files, it shouldn't complain about the format. Now Nero, I believe.... converts these files to VOB for use in your DVD. I've never used Nero for making DVDs before but I imagine it probably sets all this up for you automatically.
  3. VLC also has a speed setting. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
  4. You need them to be in MPEG format. You can use this program to do it. Just open up the file, goto Auto -> DVD and then save it. That should do it. If you have lots of files you can even set them up to run right after the other. This queue is really useful for running stuff overnight. http://www.avidemux.org
  5. Wow, I'm loving Feisty. It feels really polished and there are a lot of nice additional touches that make it easier to use and install programs.
  6. Yes, probably thumbnails. Definitely video files.
  7. So I've got this issue that I can't seem to resolve. I've got a folder with a bunch of stuff in it on my desktop. Not always, but sometimes when I open it up, an error message report box pops up. It says the usual do you wish to report this error.. yada yada. Whatever I click, either don't send or send, my taskbar restarts and all my open folders close. My applications are usually OK and come back. Are there hidden system files that maybe I can delete to fix this? Any ideas? Thanks.
  8. 20% and counting. Did you stay up for the release party on IRC?
  9. Yeah, I played the previous demo and thought it still needed work. I have a pretty decent computer and it still chugged even on this new US build. Plus, when I tried to change the graphics they got all weird and the trees got all screwed up. So... they definitely need some work. I mean, the videos look amazing but it just doesn't feel as fluid in terms of motion and aiming as Ghost Recon or Raven Shield does.
  10. Even then, there are cross-site scripting vulnerabilities where you actually go to the correct website but with javascript or some HTML injections it can actually send the information someplace else.
  11. Wow, saw this in my spam box today. Grrrrr.... stupid scams...
  12. Yeah, I found out the hard way to choose the same brand and model if possible. I bought some Rosewell memory (512MB) then added 512MB of something else later and it's not in dual channel. Doh! My next computer I will be more careful in my purchase.
  13. Don't see any information on the official teamspeak website. Thanks for the heads up though.
  14. Yeah, I hear it's sweet. I've been hanging out on #ubuntu IRC and helping people lately. My friend is running it and he says it's great. I think I'll wait til the final release candidate on the 19th though. Only a few more days....
  15. Doh! I really wanted to start a campaign today. Oh well, maybe after the weekend they'll release it.
  16. New info on the 2nd patch from the TotalWar forums:
  17. Here's a couple from a Google search. They are all search engines specifically for programming: http://archive.devx.com/sourcebank/ http://www.devseek.com/ http://code.google.com/ Haven't tried them yet. What are you looking for?
  18. Awesome. Video here: http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=4626
  19. OpenOffice also lets you save to PDF files.
  20. My 2 cents. Doom III - revolutionary graphics engine, bad gameplay I think they basically built the engine first, game second.
  21. Yeah, I thought Swat 4 was awesome. The online co-op is awesome w/voice chat. Hope Swat 5 is 10x better.
  22. Really? Wow, I thought they shipped anywhere. You might check froogle. It's a meta search engine. http://froogle.com
