  1. TV Recently- Finished off BSG in about a week and a half, all three seasons plus mini-series/movies, I highly recommend it to anybody who even has a passing interest in Sci-Fi, if nothing else just check out the first episode of Season 1 entitled "33" trust me you will be hooked.

    BSG

  2. I always dreamed that they could make the planning phase in the R6 games super streamlined and smooth. Almost like a 3d application, but fun! Make the planning like a mini game within a game and less people would be turned off by it. It'd also have to be less clunky. Graphics like the "mission briefs" in Cod4, just blue or yellow, simple 3d, but stylistic. It would almost be like a real-time stratagey game or something. Easier said then done.

Man, I'll second that. I even made a small mission plans package for RvSh.

  3. What have people gotten as a high score for the airplane mission in arcade mode? Just curious, I've been playing that one a lot. I've found the shotgun gives you lots of points as well as using the pistol and getting headshots. I still haven't been able to complete it on veteran, there's just not enough time.

  4. I've been playing the demo quite a bit and I wouldn't really call it a RTS game, it's more of an action game. It does get pretty chaotic and originally after I played the demo I thought that I wouldn't get it but it's growing on me. I've gotten pretty good at playing with the air units and getting enough points to call in the nuke in the skirmish battle was awesome. Dunno if I'd pay $50, but I'll wait until it gets to $30-40 before I grab it.

  5. I took a little bit of French and Spanish in middle/high school. The funny thing was, I started with French and then moved to Spanish, but the Spanish teacher kept telling me I was speaking Spanish with a French accent. I'm sure today I would probably mix them up if I tried relearning it. ;)

  6. It's tracker software. Basically, when you download a .torrent file, your BT client connects to the tracker and the tracker sends back information on other people who already have the file or who are downloading it currently. Then your client is able to connect to them and start grabbing the file(s). It's nice because it often can cut down on bandwidth needs for people who want to distribute large files (for example Linux ISO distributions). And since everyone is downloading and uploading at the same time you usually get pretty good speeds as long as there are enough people.

  7. I'm trying to play through and beat the game Mission Force Cyberstorm at the moment. It's an old Windows 95 game that's turn-based and allows you to control mechs and pilots. It's similar to Mechcommander except turn-based. The cool thing is the campaign keeps on going so if you screwup one mission you just have to keep going or reload. You also get to pick your missions. For example, right now I'm trying to get through a bunch of ore collection (to make money) and destroy bases missions in order to get enough cash to buy more mechs and pilots.

Anyone other turn-based mech games out there? :)
