Anybody know of any good Quake 3 mods? I'd like to play some conversions where it's like CS or Military or Ghost Recon or something like that. Also, I need the mod to support bots. My internet connection sucks. No no. I know, Quake 3... I've sunken into the pit of human despair. It's fun... for about a minute... but I need some mods. Thanks for any help.

Click on the "place object" button. It's about 3/4 of the way to the right on the bar with all the buttons. This has all your objects and has the resources. As for the points, the waypoint button, (almost at the end) has what you need to put the startup positions. I would recommend downloading the pdf file from their website. It's very helpful. I'm not sure why they didn't include it in the game.

For a mod you've created or the original GR? I would suggest creating a new mod, editing the original files is not recommended. Go into: mods/yourmodname/shell/art/main_menu_ (then number) You'll see them. You'll need the rsb plugin for photoshop to edit them. HTH

Most ISP's usually give you a small web space for a website. You could try using em to host the sig for you. Otherwise there are sites out there that host sigs for you. Try google search.

Wow, that's some interesting data. I can agree on the whole OS thing. Many people use XP but there are others that could get a toe hold. Linux is gaining in the server area and with new, more stable, and easier versions of linux being put out I think that it might become at least marginally popular for gaming. I'd bet good money that the next version of the windows OS will have automatic and easier driver and system auto-updates so that drivers will be installed so that games will run better.

Why are Massively Multiplayer Online Games so appealing to people? What is it about them that makes them special or different than other games? For those of you that play games like this, what makes a good MMOG?

3D Grid Engines...The Possibilities??

Sounds exactly like Neural Networks. Kinda like what you just described. I think the bandwidth issue is a problem now and will be a problem in the future because there will always be, "the fastest" bandwidth connection out there and that is what everyone bases everything off of. IMO a more plausible idea is to focus on different ideas for creating computers. What about using the speed of light to power your computer. Think about that, a cpu that uses the speed of light to calculate. Or a bunch of really tiny computers together like you said but locally where you live which create a compu -
I've just released a public beta for Character Chooser. This new version has bug fixes and the added ability to not only choose characters and skins for mods but weapons as well! Please post any feedback here. I need as much as possible so that I can fix it up for the final version! Thanks for the help. Character Chooser v2.0 Public Beta Download If you can't download it, my server is probably down. Please try again later.

What kind of problems? I know on mine, if you try to make a huge map in size, one that's just blank when you create a new map it takes a long time to load. Yeah, I wanna make a complete urban map too. The houses and cities are just plain cool.

Wow, that was perfect. Now all I need to do is add the explosion. Thanks.
