  1. No More Hot Booth Babes at E3?

By: César A. Berardini - "Cesar"

    Jan. 23rd, 2006 1:03 pm

The consequences of the “Hot Coffee” GTA mod are far from over and it seems that the long arm of law is reaching not just game retailers, but the industry in general. The IGDA's Sex SIG got access to a copy of the 2006 E3 Expo Exhibitor's Handbook and found out that the new rules put a defacto censorship to any material, including games and booth babes, with partial nudity or sexually explicit/provocative content.

According to Page 13 of the Exhibitor's Handbook:

Material, including live models, conduct that is sexually explicit and/or sexually provocative, including but not limited to nudity, partial nudity and bathing suit bottoms, are prohibited on the Show floor, all common areas, and at any access points to the Show. ESA, in its sole discretion, will determine whether material is acceptable.

What does all this mean? That we won’t get to see those hot girls we used to take photos with or date (in our dreams). No more Hottest Booth Babe competition, no more cool games like Leisure Suit Larry or the Playboy Mansion?

While the handbook does state no “bathing suit bottoms”, there is a bit of a gray area when it comes to the overall attire. It will be interesting to see how far game publishers are willing to go in order to test the waters. In any case, E3 booth babes just got a little uglier.

Without Booth Babes in tiny leather pants or bikinis, is there any reason at all to go to E3? Oh Diana, I'm going to miss you so much!

  2. Yea it was just a thought nothing more. Saw a movie the other day watching them use a jammer or scrambler so the cops couldn't find them inside a house when they scanned it. Well it just got me thinking well that would make the new Graw Cooler and i just might not turn that option off for the Red Dimonds as soon as i turn GRAW on! Becuase believe me im not the only one here thats going to be the first thing we turn off, but just thinking about a jammer or scrabler makes it almost worth keeping on once inwhile for at least MP!

Yet again this is the new age and still can be made verse Weapons Down Loadable Content or Maybe a Mod when XNA comes around this summer. As it is now its just a thought and still can be done one of two ways i hope later down the road!

  3. I was thinking about the advance part with GR and the Red Icon Dimonds on the enemy's. What about jamming tools for the enemy that well temp shut it all down for the Ghost to lock on? If anything i think it would be a great feature for Online games. Have the Ghost hiden in a small section around the device without the ghost getting a lock dimond around the enemy (MP or Sp). They can Keep it to just a small class group like the old GR where they had the motion sensors with just a MP5 or something! It should make people play more as a team where everone sticks close to the jamming guy as they move up the road.

Anyways its just a thought and im sure if nothing is planned we well still have mods! After all it is the future and im sure the enemy do have ways to scamble the erea with some kind of jamming.

  4. Syphon Filter used to be my number one game of all times back in the day. Whats it been now, around 7 years or something? Anyways it was the only game at the time that offered what i wanted in a FPS game until i moved over to PC and found Rainbow6 & R6: Eagle Watch. Well the rest has been a long time fellow of Tom Clancy from there on out! I still look back and remeber Syphon Filter though it's just to bad i haven't played it since R6, but Syphon Filter well always be somewhere in my heart becuase it was the start of my FPS milatry crave that brought me to Tom Clancy looking for the best and Syphon Filter started it all.

I would like to play it again, but i don't own a PSP and never plain on buying one! Than again X360 is stealing all the PS tytles so you never know what the future well bring.

  5. No more Backward Compatibility Updates Til March/April

Time: 12:51 EST/17:51 GMT | News Source: ActiveXbox.com | Posted By: Byron Hinson

We've been informed today that there are going to be no more Backward Compatibility updates released for the Xbox 360 until March at the earliest. Microsoft's David Reid has stated that the team who do the BC work are on holiday throughout January and will start work on priority titles when they return. But from what it sounds like, there will be only a few more updates released through 2006.

This will come as a disappointment to many new Xbox 360 users, not only because the lack of new 360 titles but also any new plain Xbox titles they may like the look of (Black for example) will not work on their shiny new 360. It is no wonder less Xbox games are being sold now.

  6. Two things about this game,

    1. It now goes under a new name Over G.

    2. Last i heard it still aint going to see a states releash, (It's a Japan only game.)

I tried to find some links, but its getting hard to find old links with the Dev chats.

Anways one i found shows the name change and also hints at the end about it still being a Japan only releash still Over G Look here. I was going to go back and look through my old OXM mags like 3 or 4 back they also said in there about it may never make it out of japan! Sad to becuase it was one of my most wanted games until i heard it aint coming here.

  7. Watched this yesterday and saw some of the new stuff Bill has planned in the next 3 to 5 years. One thing i fell in love with is the computer Desktop he showed.

Here take a look Bill Gates at CES. jump around to the time of 13:20. Thats where he shows the Desktop. If you have the time watch the whole thing they show some really cool stuff coming out soon!

  8. As long as Sony can keep there name in the news. Even over stuff like this of beening Sued is still good news for Sony!

I heard of this afew days ago and i guess the owner of the building gave Sony the ok to put it on he's building, but the state has some kind of law about ads or something and the news is blowen this way out there. They are getting way to much exposure on this for such a little thing if you ask me. Again i believe they want there name in the news because any news is good news!

  9. I'm not really a fan for this game, but thought maybe some of you might like to read this. MGS4 Possible on Xbox 360

Konami's Hideo Kojima says hardware is no longer an issue.

    by Douglass C. Perry

December 16, 2005 - In a recent Web interview with Hideo Kojima, the master of all things Metal Gear Solid explained that creating Metal Gear Solid 4 is technically possible on Xbox 360.

Kojima said with the exception of nuances or small details, the power of next generation hardware (and the PC) no longer provides the technical restrictions they did before. Kojima also explained in a sideways manner why the Xbox never saw a version of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater. He explained that he has no grudge or dislike for the Xbox or Xbox 360, but last year he and his team had their hands full with MGS3. Other Konami teams, he said, were able to get their hands on the Xbox 360 tools before him. It's his philosophy that he wants to be first, not second on the early development for a system, which is why he chose PS3.

When IGN contacted Konami America today, the representative said, "there are no new developments or news to share about any Metal Gear products coming to Xbox or 360."

We'll relay any new MGS3 or MGS4 news if and when possible.

  10. I won't miss it, when i got my X360 i got it for the games and not for the movies it could of played!

This also goes for the PS3 with the Blueray, If i got it at all it would be for the games and not for the movie player in the system!

  11. Never tried that Dangerous Waters, is it ship control like SH3 or just unit order control system type game or both?

Anyways i know this game aint a sim but the one im looking forward to the most right now happens to be that Battlestations: Midway! Don't have a link right now, but it looks to be a great game for controling Subs, Boats & Planes all in the same game online.

  12. Actually, I would like to see more Coop aded so real wolfpacks could patrol.

Oh yes, can't forget about more and better coop. Just as long as they keep a editor to make as many as we want and able to play them online im ok, but still i like to have that support for some kind of a Death Match.

Yet i might still like something like they did with SH2 and Destroyer Command with the Death Matchs. Well i can dream can't I???

  13. Alot of reports coming in with people getting the new mag. GRAW aint in there for this mounths, but a playable Full Auto is. Again i been tring to do some research on that picture up top that started this thread and to be honest i can't find nothing about it with GRAW on the cover! I am not saying its true, but i can say it ain't for January.
