  3. I been talking to afew people about the flight stick for x360.

I remeber right before or maybe even on E3 week that microsoft was talking about stuff to look forward to. It was at the same time they where talking about the racing Wheel plus a Flight Stick. Anyways i been relooking for the article about the 2, racing wheel and flight stick and i can't seem to find it. I'm hopen that someone here might recall where the link is at? We all know the racing wheel is coming, but some people missed the one about the flight stick. All i remeber is them saying it's going to be about the same thing as the Microsoft Sidewinder on the PC. Again it might of been right before E3 or at the same time is all i remeber.

  4. Just when i learn of this game i just learned they putting it on hold.

Grand Raid Offroad Put On Hold [19-06-2006 | JZ | Comments (2) ]

French studio Asobo announced that it is halting, not cancelling, develpment of its Grand Raid Offroad racing game in favor of a new adventure/platform title for a well known US publisher. Since Grand Raid Offroad is their internal title, it was put on ice in favor of the new product which will allow them to secure finances to complete the project, according to Asobo's production director David Dedeine. No details on the new game were disclosed but David said it shouldn't be much longer.

  5. I will admit im one of the first that will bash Sony.

I like Sony and i still plan on getting a PS3 when the time comes. I owned all of Sony's consoles so far and still plan on getting the next one. The reason behind me bashing them is becuase i know they lie and only give half truths. I believe the PS3 is going to be a great console and is going to do very well for itself! Yet i also know its going to be on par with the x360. Both are going to have there + & - but on par none the less. You said we saying its going to be terrible, but thats not the case at all. Must of us are saying when we bash it is it's not as good as Sony makes you believe it is, at least thats all im saying when i bash it. Plus it's normaly right after the truth comes out about something they just lied about or yet again only gave the half truth. So since i only bash what they lie about its kind of like a endless thing becuase they never stop. So when you see me bashing the PS3 it's not realy the system im bashing it's the bad PR behind the PS3!

  6. I think it depends on 2 things for me.

    1. How much i plain out like the game and how much replay value it has!

    2. This one is the big one, but all comes down to on how much mod support the game has to keep it fresh plus on how well MP online runs.

With out mod support games are lucky to last a week to a month if that!

With mod support depending on the game can last until something better comes along and since we talking about PC games it could be a year or more since only 1 to 2 good games come out a year! As for GR been playing it since day one and still have it on my system today becuase of the great MP and mods. If just one of the two where gone (MP/Mods) the game would never of lasted this long!

Man i just found out about this game. It's been around for awhile and i think it comes out in 2007 sometime. With 1000/2000 players per server & 3500 square miles to drive on sounds like heck of a fun time!

Grand Raid Offroad will be the first Rally Game MMO for the Xbox 360 and I'm pretty sure it is the first ever of it's kind. Supporting up to 1000-2000 players on it's servers, it's amazing what you can pull off with only 9 artists and 7 developers.

Thanks to our friends at Xbox360area.fr who wrote this quick piece of information for us.

    Grand Raid Offroad

    Features:

Huge Environments: 3500 square miles of surface.

    Drive everywhere and anywhere.

Animals and habitations bring the maps to life.

The weather will also be variable.

The cars: They are 4x4 vehicles hungry for open terrain. Some car brands have proposed to let them model their own cars. It will be possible to change specifications of the vehicles, giving them more speed, more boost, fine turning and so on. All these modifications will help make your car the best for any type of road or terrain.

Car damage is present but not to the point where they make this effect the car in a big way. The developers chose to steer away from making the game become a "destruction derby" type game. Grand Raid Offroad is based on orientation.

There will be a single player campaign as well as classical multiplayer.

Online mode: Grand Raid Offroad will be the first Rally Game MMO!

    With 1000/2000 players on servers.

On these huge maps, there will be many competitions and many minigames like in GTA games. Like in all RPG or MMORPG, in Grand raid Offroad, the participants will begin with cars in the same class and players will be able to progressively specialize them which will encourage the players to create stables (equivalent to the guilds of RPGs).

    About Asobo:

Asobo is composed by: 9 artists and 7 developers and was founded in 2002 by Sébastien Wloch et David Dedeine (former members of Kalisto another studio of Bordeaux. Past games developed include: Super Farm, Sitting Duck, The Mummy and CT Special Force. Asobo also uses their own engine appropriately dubbed the "ASOBO Creative Engine" (ACE) to develop all their projects.

  8. I think new CooP missions are great, but im haven a real hard time getting around a $10 price tag for more maps that should of been there since there start! They should at least make CooP out of the MP maps that are already there to get us to the 10 to 12 mark!

Maybe it's just me but i believe there should be around 10 to 12 maps min before we start paying for more! If i didn't get the 5000 points from Verison at E3 i wouldn't get the new maps yet i might not anyways becuase so far none of my friends are willing to pay the $10 price tag and i don't want to waste my free points.

  9. I been tring to keep a close eye on this game as much as i can, but they are really not telling all that much.

Now alot of place are changing there releash date too June 25th from July 11th (EBGames and afew others).

To me this is a really good thing if i could just find out if it's true! I tried going to there home sites, but they just don't say nothing on it, they just show pictures and video's! I guess im left to just waiting until June 25th and see if it shows up i guess!

2nd thing i been asking and digging into with no results has been the editor.

Stuff like is it user friendly to use for online CooP? The best i got for a answer is that the editor can do basicaly everything thats in the singleplayer game. So im hopen thats a yes it can be used to make CooP missions. If i recall right you can play all the SP missions in CooP and if that is the case i see no trouble really on why not. Yet if anyone knows more on the editor or even the CooP itself please speak up.

If it does work online and the editor can do everything thats in the SP im in heaven.

Every Mission will have take off's (A Must), Way points, Fling patrolls, timed/waypoint air combat, timed/waypont Air to ground attacks & finaly landing the plane back at the airport or maybe even a carrier (A Must) all in one mission if the editor doesn't max out. Might be all wishfull thinking, but if it isn't i know 99% of the time im going to be in Team dog fights anyways. So it is all just a cherry on top if it does work.

I guess the biggest thing i want to know, is the new releash date true for June 25th?

Also Teamxbox here 3 new in game videos up to watch here.

  10. Sony Delays Blu-ray Player

What's the story with this thing anyway?

    by Kathleen Sanders

June 9, 2006 - Sony's PlayStation 3 has had rough going in the press lately. Earlier this week the PS3 was lovingly defended by developers after being accused of being "hobbled" and "broken."

Today, thegadget weblog Gizmodo caught the fact that the Sony Style webstore stealthfully changed the projected release date of its first Blu-ray player from June 25 to "on or about August 15, 2006."

Tuesday IGN reported that Pioneer announced it was delaying the release of its Blu-ray player until Fall of 2006 citing "a delay in the development process."

Sony's Blu-ray player sure does look shiny.

Although the August 15 date is well before the PlayStation 3's scheduled November 17 launch, these bumps for Blu-ray might make gamers nervous. Is the new format going to be ready in time? Could this portend possible stalls for Sony's next-gen PlayStation 3, which uses Blu-ray as its standard format? Out calls to Sony were not returned. You can bet we're staying on top of this like a pony.

An undocumented feature in the latest Xbox360 dashbaord update has surfaced -- a cache clear. In order to perform this "maintenance" follow the instructions below. (Thanks, Kakarotto)

Go to the system blade and then memory. Press Y on either the HDD or a MU and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a blade will pop up saying: This will perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices. Do you want to continue? Pick yes or no. Voila (it means 'there you go' in French before you start asking us where the Voila button is).

I've tried it and works great and easy!

  12. Would you buy a new PS3 every year or even put more money into it like you do your PC just to keep it up todate???

Sony's Katarugi on PS3 Hardware Upgrade

Likening the PS3 to a computer more than a video game system, Katarugi discusses how future versions of the PlayStation 3 might include more RAM or even a different Cell chip configuration. "PS3 is a computer, so there are no 'models,' only 'configurations,' Katarugi explains. "We're trying to make that clear ...we think it would be okay to [expand] the configuration once a year. Dell would do that, as well as even Apple."

Well there goes it's built to last 10 years theory they had well unless you plan to keep buying upgrades. Add ons are fine just as long as they don't turn into upgrades that make the old system useless or you need the upgrade just to play a new game!

  13. Now up for DL running in at 854.31

    'Rumble Roses' Demo

You can now download a demo for ‘Rumble Roses XX’ from the Xbox Live Marketplace. This free demo is available in all Xbox Live regions.

  14. I would have to say yes i would pay for both, But than again im a x360 guy so it's going to be that way soon enough anyways one way or the other and it's looking like both!

But we buy a full game and mod it to no end and turn around and sell it back on the market place. At least this is what they said the x360 is going to do, but if anything PS3 is supporting indie games 100% so im sure Microsoft is on board with this also or at least will be soon enough. I guess now it's all on the game devs to make the choose on how much they can mod there engine. It may not be PC, but the idea is the same and almost all of us are for it.

  16. Reeves: PS3 pad was not last minute

    Posted Jun 04, 2006 at 10:31AM by Kyle M.

    Listed in: Controller, Interviews

Tags: david reeves, dual shock, scee Speaking to MCV, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO David Reeves has claimed that Sony's Dual Shock 3 PS3 controller which was revealed at E3 has been in development for 'two years'. The Sony exec said “We’ve had a positive reaction to the controller and obviously some people have asked if it's a last minute thing. It’s not - it’s been planned for around two and a half years."

"If you have a device that includes 50 or 55 patents, you can’t reveal it, as someone will try to file a patent to stop it. We have already had some positive feedback on it from publishers.”

This is interesting, because Sony's initial concept PS3 controller was boomerang shaped, and looked nothing like the DS3, but Reeves remains adamant that the DS3 controller has been 2 years in the making. Could Reeves be covering this up, or have Sony been working on multiple controllers at the same time?

    Link

How can they say its dual shock 3 when there is no shock? And the PS3 controller was in the works for over 2 years, but it's the same one from PS1 and what about the boomerang? Takes them over 2 years to come up with the same exact controler they always had, but with tilt. Any other company could of came up with this is a work week and in all that time they also forgot to change the name 'DS3'! Time for a name change if you ask me.

  17. Sony America's PR Mistress Flees

SCEA publicity chief Molly Smith is the first rat doggy-paddling off of Sony's PS3 public relations Titanic.

Having managed Sony America's PR machine for over ten years, it's a bit surprising that she'd leave so suddenly.

    Also

In an unexpected move, SCEA publicity chief Molly Smith has resigned her post.

Smith, who has managed SCEA's formidable PR machine for a decade, left the company yesterday.

Her move comes just a few weeks after the arrival of Peter Dille, from THQ, as senior vice president of marketing. Staff at the Foster City company were told of her departure late yesterday. An official announcement is yet to be made.

She took over SCEA's publicity operation soon after the launch of PlayStation 1, and has been at the center of the company's growing publicity reach ever since.

Plus the same day S&P came out with this

    S&P Ups Sony to sell

Thats two hard hits on the same day S&P says sell your stock now before its to late & Molly Smith has resigns her post as PR SCEA publicity chief. It's going to be a rocky start for Sony if things like this contue!

  18. www.businessweek.com

Take it as you will, but S&P hints at sell now.

Reporting from the BusinessWeek Stock Picks and Pans, S&P Ups Sony to Sell:

Our action is based on valuation, since the current price of Sony shares is near our 12-month target price of $44. After management's recent fiscal year 2007 (ending March) guidance, we continue to believe that any potential upside in share price would be limited by a lack of visibility in Sony's games division. We are maintaining our fiscal year 2007 (ending March) and fiscal year 2008 earnings per share (EPS) estimates of 72 cents and 78 cents, respectively.

Wall Street Analyst: Sell Sony Stock!!!

I love to see Microsoft and Sony battle its great for us gamers, but it would be funny to see Sony fall before they even make it out the door!

Again i don't want ether company to win as long as they keep fighting to be number one we as gamers win! Going to have to watch this one alittle more over the next week and see how it pans out!

  19. This was back on 06/May/01 and im still paying in pain everyday becuase of 15 seconds of a break press that double tripped! Oh and the funny part is 06/May is my long time girlfriend of 10 years Birthday. So when her birthday comes up it's never my fav day!

LOL, oh on that date it's all about her trust me she gets the whole day all about her.

I just couldn't resist anymore. Just had to point out an inconsistency here at deadpreacher's expense. :P

The girlfriend has been in the picture for 10 years and May 6 is "all about her," but for some reason 5 years ago you got injured on that date. Me thinks it might not be "all about her" on that date. :hmm:

    LOL

    I will never tell!

    Anyways cdnsniper,

Glad to see you healing will and looks like you might get away with no scars!

  20. Another thing im left wondering about is, how safe is it when it comes to hacks?

Is the system itself safe from internet virus bugs?

Are the games going to be cheat free when it comes to online hacks?

With them allowing full user mods and internet web im wondering just how protect the system is going to be! I love the user mod's part, but they better have some kind of protection for both the games and the system. Hate to spend $600 just to get hacked and a virus! Last thing i want is another cheat heaven just like the PC! This is half the reason i went to console ONLINE is to get away from all the cheats/hacks and virus's.

  21. Harrison denies Wii influenced PS3 controller, says PCs unnecessary

Will Sony just keeps adding more to the plate. Now they going after the PC's

In particular he said the Linux-based operating system on the console's hard drive will have enough processing power and non-gaming functionalities to render traditional PCs--most of which use a form of Microsoft's Windows OS--moot in the home. "We believe that the PS3 will be the place where our users play games, watch films, browse the Web, and use other [home] computer functions," said Harrison. "The PlayStation 3 is a computer. We do not need the PC."

    OK,

Will sure im going to sell my PC buy a PS3 and never miss a thing.

Used PC for sale any buyers???

I don't know if you ask me Sony is biteing off more than they can chew! Sink or swim this time around thats for sure can they live up to all the hype or is there still half lies laying around still to come? As much as i like PS3 all i want is a gaming system, Im not a movie buff (Bluray) and im not looking to replace my PC plus all the other unneeded stuff. When i think of PS3 last thing i think of is a game system anymore!

Im not posting this to say anything bad, but they are sure adding alot to the plate they have to live up. Now they think they can also take on PC without losen a step! All they need to do now is allow the use of PC games to be installed and played and im sold!
