Sabre Team and Frostbite could most definently have a conflict. But mods use lots of the exact same things. And Sabre Teams has been known to couse some problems when combined with other mods becouse of it's launcher program.
-
You set the detonation time in the PRJ file it uses. Same can be done with most PRJ types.
Don't know but I think you can enter any value you want. Check if you can find the old tutorial by Parabellum that tells you what all the numbers actually stand for. It was hosted on Ravenmouth.org but our site has been closed down. And Para has left the modding side of GR. But someone may still have it around....

Sweet...... Now we need a Major Kusanagi charcter for it.

I really liked the deep snow. Well I told you that already when I tested the beta map in January....
It's really cool. Too bad it can't be made so you leave tracks in the snow as well. That would open up a new dimension.

If you want a mod with good weapons, get Hantrox 4.0. Forget about the old GRM mods.
-
Haven't you seen the old =DRAG= 60mm Mortar? It was made in January 2002 I think. It's in =DRAG= v1.0 and v2.0.... May be in Black Sun. And I know Gunslinger used it as they used all weapons from =DRAG= v1.0....
Just look at how the grenade launcher works. It's what you described. It's the only weapon in the game, well besides hand thrown frags, that actually has some baliatics. Play around with it and you'll see.

The thing with the hostiles "spawning" in where you have been is to simulate that they may have come into the area form outside. No place is ever fully cleared in real life so it shouldn't be int he game. Always watch your back.
And you can't "spawn" in enemies when you see them come in, that would look really bad.
This is how most scripters deal with the problem and how the "spawning" can be reflected to real life. On the graphics part. What's your system? Many of the FB maps are more demanding on the PC then the original maps. So you should have a little hotter PC then what GR normally requires for it to work fine. This is something others have noticed as well and it has been the solution to the problem.

Here you can find info on the Combo as well as Swedish Force. The combo final info is a few posts down in a quote window.

No problem. Like I said, easy but boring work.

-
It just isnt right that with FB on, Im running through the GR, IT, and DS missions with Arctic camo on. It looks ridiculous.
You know what the SF/FB Combo does right?

I posted it at the end of the oiginal topic in "technical support".
I figured he would look in there again. And don't try ICQ. It never works to transfer files over ICQ so I have given up doing that. It would have to be MSN if you need my help. Or if you have a mail server that allows 4Mb e-mails.

Cheap stuff - Colt 45. perfect for a low budget party in the park.

something closer to home...Absolut Vodka! Thank god they export that to Australia...
I think you have to look at that the other way. Where don't we export it to?

-
I'm in a few mods....
Like Gangland and Sweidsh Force of course.... in SF I'm the "24th specialist" that appears randomly in your normal SP lineup. If you use the FB/SF Combo I've move myslef over as a normal specialist.Don't remeber if I'm in any other mod but it is possible.

You can go to the Platoon and look for Sleeper. He is teh local night to day expert over there. He doesn't do day to night though if you want that as well.
-
From what I have read I believe it is fairly limited in range and FOV?
FOV, yes. It gets about the same as it is in GR. You see forward and miss out on things you would normally pick up on the sides.
As for range it depends on terrain and if it's cloudy. If the stars are out and the trees aren't to thick you can see for in the woods. But most normal NV don't have zoom so you see about as long as you do without if the conditions are good.

Hi,
I'm playing Frostbite with a couple of friends Co-Op and we're loving it...really impressed...even though we're only on the first map.
We're having a bit of trouble though. We follow the APC route but when we get to the uphill road which heads towards the SAM launcher. Halfway up that slope, one friend's PC always locks up or sometimes drops him back to Win2k. The other two of us are always fine. We also tried the second mission and he crashed as he approached the bridge of the ship.
Is this a known issue or something new? If you could offer any help that would be great.
If anyone has any pointers please feel free to mail me at: cat flavor at hot mail dot com (without any spaces etc).
Cheers,
Catflavor
Mu guess is that your friends machine simply can't take it. Tell him to try and lower the graphics settings. Turn off replay recording and stuff like that and try again.

And on top of that it's far from the only long thread on this mod.
Don't know if that subject has come up in this one before though as I read them all in multiple forums. -
I understod your point and the way it was ment.
I guess it may be starting to get a little to DonMiguel that it keeps comming up over and over again, and not much can be done about it.
I'll look into it with El_Oso on the patch and See what I can get him to do about it. I have some ideas on how I would want to fix this for Frostbite.
-
I'll have to disagree.

Me to.

The NV I have used in real life has been quite clear.
But then again in the game it is more fun whne the NV is quite bad.

I suggest you don't use this anymore.
First. It's for the older GR RSB format. The RSB textures have changed again and the only plug-in that is up to date is the on from the IT disc.
Second. Use the plug-in instead directly. Don't get the RSBtoBMP or RSBtoTGA back out there as they only make it more difficult for people when they are not up to date.
This has been talked about before in the skins folder.

I download almost everything that comes out. I did download evreything for the first half year of GR. Then I got more selective and now I mostly download the 30Mb+ mods as they give you the most change in the game.
I organise them by MAPS, EQUIP, SKINS, MISSIONS, MIXED & TOTAL CONVERSION.
Mixed is for mods that has some of different areas but is still not covering the game wide enough to be a total convertion as they haven't been in all areas. Many so called total convertions aren't really that.
Just go to @War and browse through the list and get what you fell like. I think you get about 14-15 pages if you select to view all GR mods they have.
-
This keeps comming over and over. Still no big mod works without changing the rest of the game in such ways. It can't really be avoided as we can't make new enviromental tags without going into the core files. Just have to accept it. And as DonMiguel says, it's a total convertion mod, not an expansion pack even though it expands the game a lot.
Keep reporting the things that CAN be fixed tough, like the silence for that weapon. So a patch can be made for those problems.

You simply open the file manager and drag and drop the files you want to move between your HD racks. Just like copying from FD or CD to HD.
