Ghost Recon( 1.4 patch) , DS, and IT installed on Windows 2000 DX9

I m trying to run a dedicated server. From commandline used the

ghostrecon.exe -autoserve switch and the program starts but just quits after 20 seconds or so. I think its the video card but I m not sure. Nothing except the white square appears in the middle of the screen.

Any suggestions.
