Nevermind. Didn't know I had to "sign in" with my profile before playing. I got it now.

Hey all, I feel like a jackass for asking this, but how do you save your campaign? I end up having to restart every time... I just got a 360 today and GRAW2 is the first game I got. You don't need one of those little memory cards, do you? I'm usually not a stupid person, but I don't see a save option anywhere... Any help? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I guess I didn't think before posting that. It's obvious that the more in depth a game gets, the more parameters there are to modify, thus being more difficult to modify.
-
Ah, that makes sense. Well thats a shame. As games continue to become more realistic this way, will it be harder to mod? Seems that way.

Back in the day, when GR1 was in its prime, there were people pumping out weapon mods left and right. I was one of the dime-a-dozen modders that wasn't exactly a pro, but thats beside the point. Is there a reason why we see so few weapon mods for GRAW? I'm not talking about modded XML files here, I mean new models, new everything. I've been on a hiatus for quite a while, but I've returned, and I was expecting mods galore. Are we lacking resources, or interested individuals? Snow made that m4, and sap has created the ak47, so its obviously possible. What's the deal?

This is from my Catalyst Control Center. No fancy 3rd party tweaked drivers or anything, just downloaded these from the ATI site the other day. BTW I'm running an X1800XT 512MB, 2GB Ram, 3.2GHz P4, on Vista Business if that makes any difference. I haven't got the newfangled 8800 or anything like that. I must have the best of luck with computer issues... When everyone was complaining about GRAW issues when it was first released, I had no problems. No crashing, no nothing. When Vista was released and everyone said it had compatibility issues with many programs, I had none. (And I have many many different applications installed). My only issue was that my printer didn't have a driver released. Fixed that as of today. I'm dual booting just in case of an issue in the future, however. And now, with people having issues with GRAW and Vista, I've had no problems whatsoever. My FPS seems to be the same, the graphics are just as good, everything seems to be running great. I'm not trying to rub anything in anyone's faces, but it just seems that I have good luck with this sort of thing. I guess it must balance out in other aspects of my life, hehe. So good luck to all of you. This sort of thing is bound to happen, but the issues will be resolved soon enough, I'm sure.

I swear I am the only one on earth that hasn't had a problem with GRAW. I don't have any of these problems with sound, random crashing, etc. I'm just damned lucky I guess...

Does this little bit of wisdom go for forums as well as games? Thanks for the speech, but if you're going to leave just do it already. We all know you're sitting at your computer reading this to see what kind of reaction you'd get. You're a real winner . I almost regret even posting right now, but oh well...

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I finally got it working. I ripped out the HD from their PC and stuck it in mine, and then formatted it through My Computer, as opposed to using the XP CD, which I tried twice with the same result. I don't know if its a fluke or what, but I'm posting this using their computer, so I got it working somehow, and thats the important thing. Thanks again.

Tried that. The ISP's end is fine, because the laptop worked. I'm just still trying to figure out if this is a hardware or software problem. I'm going to try a couple more things, a different hd with a fresh copy of xp, and if that doesnt work, a new network card. And finally, if those things don't work, I'm going to recommend a new computer, or a smarter computer tech. But I'm pretty sure I've tried everything the Geek Squad would ever do.
-
That's a good point. Maybe there's a problem with the network card itself then? But I think its an integrated card, so that means new mobo. I'm pretty sure its just time for a new computer.

Plug and play cable modem. I definitely know the difference between the repair and reformat options, and we reformatted it. There was nothing installed except for drivers, and then Ad Aware. As soon as I installed ad-aware I did a scan, but its definitions werent updated because we still had no internet. I'm stumped

My girlfriend's family computer suddenly stopped connecting to the internet a few days ago. Her dad and I tried everything I could think of, and I consider myself pretty computer savvy. Anyway, after the basic troubleshooting, I looked at his IP address, and every once in a while it would change itself from an automatic private address to what looked like a linksys router address. (I recognized it because I use a linksys router). However, they don't use a router. He tried calling their ISP support, but they couldnt help. They said they could ping his computer, so they couldn't help him. In the connection status it shows both recieving and sending packets like normal. I couldnt figure that out, except that maybe a virus or spyware was sending and receiving info, but disabled the ability for other programs to use the connection. So, after unsuccessful spyware and virus scans (found stuff and removed it, but nothing that was critical, and didnt solve the problem) I reformatted the HD and reinstalled windows. Internet still doesnt work, and so I did a scan with Ad-Aware. Found Alexa, an amazon.com toolbar. How could that still be there after formatting the HD? After that, I was stumped. I left it last night feeling defeated, because I've never had a problem that I couldnt solve within a day or 2. I'm thinking its something dug down deep in the HD that the regular reformatting didnt get to. Is that possible? And if so, I recommended trying a new HD. I would think that there is no way anything could remain after that. Sorry for the long post, but I had to let you know what all I tried. What do you guys think we should do?

TDM Pub Server settings?

Yeah, we need time to be tactical. 3 and 5 minute rush matches is not very Ghost Recon -ish. -
What happens when the list of weapons goes beyond the space available in the selections screen? There is no scroll arrow or anything like that. Is that something that could cause problems in the future, or is it taken care of already?
-
what I meant was, I have an intel cpu now. So I need a new mobo if I want to make the switch to amd, right?
-
Same here. If anything, I want a new processor. But I want an AMD, so that means I need a new mobo. Gah, such a pain...

GR MP Gametype Lexicon

CTF - Capture the Flag. I like this. Reminds me of paintball. mmm... paintball... -
This sounds like Steam. Every CounterStrike game you join anymore has custom sounds and whatnot. Takes forever just to get a game going. Good feature, but only when limited to files like maps and mods.

I've never heard of a 9800 pro with 512
-
PC GR2 was never released. Not only is porting a gun from the xbox inefficient and not very possible, to my knowledge it is illegal. Weapons mods are made from weapons that are modelled by modelers.

Are you talking about Domination? What sides are you talking about in Deathmatch?

After I use a grenade or destroy a tank, sometimes the smoke effects will freeze halfway through the animation and just stay that way. I can leave the area and come back and it will still be there, frozen in time. Anyone else have this happen?
