I just got the GR 'collection-pack' with GR and the two mission packs. If i d/l and install the GR 1.4 patch will that update GR and both mission packs?

Additionally, are there any weap/map packs i should definitely d/l? I just want to be able to play online as soon as possible, so i want to make sure i've got the weap/map packs that will allow me to play on the most amount of servers.

Ok, thanks, i'll see about buying those two exp packs soonish.

However, i'm just a tad concerned about one thing...joined one of the listed dedicated servers and was getting lagged out...i'm in australia on a 512k adsl line, so it's not surprising that when i join european or us servers, i'll get a good dose of lag which makes it unplayable (only with Ghost Recon though).

Just been searching on these forums, and on the net generally, and can't find anything about any dedicated asian or australian servers.

If you don't live in the U.S., do you have problems with lag (seeing as nearly all of the dedicated servers are in the U.S.)?

For example...i'll only get pings of around 200-300 when playing americas army on the off. servers....but playing ghost recon tonight was a lagtastic experience.

Btw....trying to join servers through the ubisoft app., but everytime i've tried to join a server in the 'Ghost Recon 1' room, it says that it's running the following mods: 'Desert Siege' and 'Island Thunder'...and when the servers are listed, they have 'mp1', 'mp2' etc. listed under the mods heading.

I know DS and IT are the retail packages..and i don't have them...but was wondering why people would run a server with those expansion packs in the 'Ghost Recon' room and not in the 'Desert Siege' or 'Island Thunder'.

Aren't there any def. GR servers running any more?

Hey all.

Just started playing GR again...well, installed it a coupld of minutes ago and haven't played yet (d/l'ing the patch and that new SAS mod).

Got GR when it first came out and was even part of a clan for a while...however i turned to the dark side and the cd-case collected dust in my cupboard.

So...could anyone tell me what files i SHOULD d/l...for example any mods that are really worth d/l'ing...plus what's happened since it's been out...any major news?
