  1. Some friends and I have recently started a errr... not sure what to call it... clan, I guess; I have been given the responsibility of trimming our approved mod folder from 8GB (!) so we can distribute among ourselves a standard package. My question is: is it possible (and how difficult) to compile all the maps into one big mod? I tried to copy the maps into one folder all together, and it works in single player, but not multi. ******Disclaimer****** This compilation will NOT be distributed outside of our clan. It is for ease-of-use only. ******************** Thanks.
  2. yup, I had the (*delete ######? desert thunder*) Desert Siege rsbeditor installed... I work in tech support, and I get SO mad at people when they make stupid mistakes like this... <sigh> I'm an idiot <insert head slapping noises here> 80083r
  3. Thanks, all. In the same vane... Thumper, do you mind if I appropriate your .rsb for the sr25sd + mp5sd kit from the 762mm mod? Or show me how to make one? I made a custom kit for myself before I d/l your mod (really, really cool btw) and I was using the GR orginal sr25sd + m9sd kit .rsb file. I don't know how to make my own... yet. Is there a list of what to do and with what to make a mod? Mostly an overview is what I'm looking for... ie: .gun files go here, they reference .rsb files for kits here, which reference sound files here, which need to be in "x" format (audacity files
  4. Basically, I wanted to feel out how people felt about that kind of thing... I know some people wouldn't want their work in the same directory as "so-and-so's" work. People are kind of touchy sometimes. Also, while I will NOT publish this (assuming I can make it work, I'm having some problems) it may just leak out somewhat, as our LAN gatherings tend to have new people come and go from time to time. Are there any HUGE map compilations that have already been done, so I can cut down on my workload?
  5. Hi, I've downloaded a lot of mods from this (and other sites) that I've been very impressed with. Just d/l the 762mm mod which is very cool... Anyway, my question is this: My mods folder is a little over 8GB right now due to the asinine number of mods that my friends like to play with (there are so many kits that the longest part of a game is choosing which gun to play with). I have read some of the angry posts regarding mod theft, and I agree that no-one should try to pass off someone else's work as their own. That said, what I would like to do (for myself and local LAN parties on
  6. Thanks very much! I though it might me something like that. Is this considered cheating, if you are playing in multiplayer? Ie: if I mod my origmiss files to change this and the zoom levels (I like to have un-zoom or full zoom, without the in-between) or should I just make a mod that everyone must have? I appreciate the quick answer.
  7. This is probably answered somewhere, but I can't find it, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating. All sniper rifles (in the original 3) have a full-screen crosshair. I've seen mods where the full screen crosshair is gone. Can anyone tell me how this was done? It's only for a personal mod, so if you can even tell me what file it is done under, I can "appropriate for personal use" from an existing mod. Or, if anyone would like to make a small mod that only does this, that would be great too! Thanks.
