I bought GR:AW as Target last weekend for $19.99. I installed two days ago and I've had lots of problems with the sound. When it loads and gets to the UBISOFT screen there is no sound until I start a mission. On the first mission I can hear the guy talking me through using the equipment, but when he says to fire my weapon, I can just barely hear it fire. Later on the screen when the pilot talks I hear nothing, and when Cpt. Mitchell speaks I hear nothing. I've stopped playing around the time I get to my third team member b/c I can't hear what is going on. I have a Soundblaster 2 Audigy soundcard and have gone to the creative website and did the auto update and it says I have the latest drivers. I also recently bought some creative 2.1 speakers. Any help would be appreciated.
-
Thanks for clearing that up.
-
I'm playing right now and have been waiting for 6 minutes and nothing has happened. I guess I'm going to have to autowin this one.
-
I send my sniper out to take out the bad guys, then send a team with the NA officer to the building and he meets with the 2 civilians. I also have another team on the mountain above to kill the guys with RPGs up there. How long does the meeting last. I stood there and waited and waited and nothing has happened. Did I miss something along the way?

I'm going to reinstall. Thanks everyone for their help.

I was playing Free Russia, and the first mission was CTD and I had played this campaign before and I don't remember if I had this problem, so I went to delete it but it will not delete. I go under the campaign option and hit the delete button and it asks are you sure and I say yes, but nothing happens. I then took out the cd and restarted my computer, put the cd in and now the game won't even start. Any help with this would be great.
-
Any way too fix it?
-
After I selected my soldiers and kits and hit the arrow button to enter the mission.

I have IT, DS, Standard Upgrade, then Alpha Mod selected. I downloaded the patch and everything was working fine until the farm mission, and I get a CTD at mission startup. ***** User's system configuration ***** CPU: GenuineIntel 2990 MHz Pentium 4 RAM: 1023 MB O/S: Microsoft Windows 2000 5.1 Service Pack 2 build 2600 Ghost Recon (RELEASE) version = 1.4.0.0(0) RSDisplayMgr::CreateGameWindow: Creating a 1280x1024 window at 0,0 on monitor Default Monitor attached to 128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro RSDisplayMgr::CreateGameWindow: Game running on primary display Default Monitor attached to 128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro HAL (hw vp): 128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro R5G6B5 RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.tga RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb Unable to find ike_fx_fire_type2.tga anywhere. Has anyone made mods using either of these maps? They are two of the best ones I've played on, and was wondering why they haven't been used more.
-
Everytime I start this mission it crashes. I pick my soldiers and it starts to load and I'm at the desktop. I haven't had any other trouble with this mod except now.

I reposted under tech support. I did have IT and DS activated though.
